I was also thinking about this. Considering that we bought a quantity of 7 batch #1 Baby Jets + 7 upgrades, maybe it makes sense that Waldo calls them next week to talk with someone who is in charge, I've heard they are generally reachable for a conversation. It's not unimaginable they wouldn't want to risk angry customer of that size who might make some non-wanted waves. With such a big delay it's possible they make some treaty to a single customer that may not be available to everyone.

Apparently someone in the official Hashfast thread looked into getting a refund....perhaps we should monitor what's going to happen with that? Let's not forget that KNC is going to start shipping a whole bunch of miners in the middle of November which will cause the difficulty to skyrocket again, and if Hashfast fails to deliver then we're going to be in a load of pain even with the MPP and the upgrade kit.

Yeah, I seen that as well.. I'm keeping an eye on it. Still haven't heard back from HF.

Refund option looks prettier with each week passing, but unfortunately I think it's unrealistic. HF explicitly offers no refunds if they deliver before Dec 31st, and if they break that deadline (which they very probably won't) they will have hard time surviving as a company and again realistically no full refunds. I'm not saying we should accept refunds if they would be offered at this moment, just discussing the options. There are two factors against the refunds:
- They would be very probably offered in US$ and not in BTC which makes them useless with current exchange rates,
- It's hard to properly calculate the impact of MPP since the difficulty increase is anybody's guess. It's very probable MPP means 4 more Beby-Jet-hashing-power boards per Baby Jet. MPP ends at end of January, but when these additional boards will be delivered and how much BTC can they mine? I would very much like to see Waldo's estimate how much it will additionally cost per share to put these boards to work since they come bare-bone.
