I hope we have a good AMD GPU processor, is this what I want? What is the GUI for? Thanks you for reading

New CPU/GPU miners for Win?

I have watched this project before, but became interested in Yenten. What caused the need for a fork? I missed that information. Can someone explain or give a link where I can read about it?

Shortly: decentralization threatened by huuuuge solo-miner, (plus this one was dumping like crazy, constantly crashing down the value), best solution for now has been found by changing the mining algorithm 33% / 33% / 33%, so that 33% of the mining rewards goes to CPU mining, 33% to GPU mining, and 33% to Masternodes (which are a brand new addition too ^^). Masternodes will also be used in the voting system. That's why that fork happened, just to try keeping the project as decentralized as possible Smiley

Some information about the upcoming Arionum updates:
- There will be a hard fork at block 80.000 which will update the mining system and will implement the alias system.
- The development has been finished on both mining and the alias system. Currently they are undergoing tests.
- The mining system will be changed to a hybrid mining system in which 1 block is given to CPU miners, 1 to GPU and 1 to masternode staking.
- Masternodes will be implemented starting block 80.000
- To create a masternode you will need 100.000 ARO and you will lock those funds as colateral for minimum 3+1 months.
- The masternodes will be winning blocks based on a Proof of Stake system.
- There is no limit on the number of the total masternodes.
- The masternodes will be used for the project governance and for taking decisions regarding the Arionum blockchain. For example, voting for new features etc (implemented at a later stage)
- The masternodes will be used for handling asset transactions (implemented at a later stage)
- It's possible to implement some sort of sidechain for much faster transactions using the masternodes, at a later date.
- We have implemented a bootstrapping feature to have the nodes do the initial sync much faster.

Here again the info about this fork

this HardFork will kill ARO for CPU profitable mining.
BTW, bastard Zean with his botnet (with 2/3 hashing power of the whole notwork hashrate until HardFork) now finds almost 75% of all blocks including GPU and MN blocks.

This fork was intended as to make ARO network more resist to bastard Zean with his botnet. But what do we see now?
After HF at 80K block, only 3 block atm was found by ALL CPU+GPU miners on ALL public pools, while Zean has found the rest 12 Blocks.
Devs should rename this thread to "Highly centrallized, botnet friendly coin"

Indeed! Also: how more miners we have, how less coins 1 person can get.

Shouldn't a hardfork to disrupt a botnet include a slight change of POW?

If it was that what motivated the hardfork, I agree that small CPU miners just got screwed...

Aropool.com arionum.rocks aro.cool all on different blocks.
That hardfork looks like a failure so far.

Nope, he's got masternodes now and a guaranteed high percentage of all income, plus whatever the botnet produces. I'd think it is more ARO than before the fork, not less.

Do we have updated miner code for CPU and GPU.
I think at the time of announcement, people asked same question and we were told that we will have those updates.

I think we could have done better management given the time we had for this hard fork.

And another issue: 'historic share' section on the pool website doesn't display hash rate  & pending ARO, at least for me (shows 0.0 for both), but  correct info on account page.

I have mined 2470 ARO. But I try to pass them to the new wallet and I get this error: "Oh no! There was an error

Your transaction has been canceled :C. Here's the reason why:

Transaction signature failed"

It is unfair to lose them after so much dedication.

The network was having issues earlier today during the HF. Give it a try now that the network has stabilized a bit.

CPU miners should continue working as I understood, only GPU ones require update.
GPU miners should work from before the first fork, some very old ones I guess if such exist at all Smiley
Also block separation for CPU/GPU/MN is weird, 2/3 of the time both CPU and GPU miners will mine in vain...

I still have the same problem. I already tried with the web wallet, cli Ubuntu and gui Windows. I also tried accessing from wallet.aro file.
Am I the only one who has this problem?
Another thing that I see is that my miners are still working on aropool.com, but from the fork all new generated AROs are kept in "pending balance"
I am already worried about not being able to recover them

hi DEV
Your network is still having problems. I can not do anything . just see the message "pending balance"
It's hard to accept this. I tried to contact the developer in the discord group for support but they did not answer correctly, @@. I am a new digger. and I have not had much experience.
