Some attempts to make a risky move like shorting their bitcoins. We can see that when the marketcap fluctuates, it just become lesser and lesser even if it goes up because many of these whales take advantage of it by means of swing trades.

HODL and buy more. Make sure you know what you are investing in before making a big purchase. But the best tactic is to never invest what you cant afford to lose. If you have to take a loss take it, you probably will lose money but you won some experience.

I think it depends on your confidence in the coin. Of course this requires full understanding of their team and technology.

There are many options you can take when the market takes a dump.  I usually increase my position on the cryptocurrencies I already own.  I like to buy when there's blood.  The worse thing you can do is panic sell.

You're right, just be calm it will get worse if you panic. My tactic also is to became calm and then if I have some money I will buy coins that are surely will go moon and also I really researched the project if it is worth to buy. It's natural that the market is falling because we are not the one who controls it.

Your choice is in my opinion. Is a very good choice. Because you know you're still a novice, it is safe for a novice to choose a mainstream currency.

I think it depends on whether your investment is long-term or short-term. This is very important. You should plan well before that.

I would offer you two tactics for a falling market if you can catch it at the start of the fall then sell your coins and get into Tether to ride out the storm and buy back afterwards. If you are unable to cash out easily and have available funds then buy more as it drops to average down.

Hi all,
I am a relative newbie but have remained pretty calm during the difficult last week or so. The markets are falling significantly again, is this still relatively normal and is the best advice just to HODL? Moving forward I think I will set stop losses on all holdings to protect my capital against falls like this.
Thanks
Retention is not the only correct solution in this case. We need to find the time to invest in new or increase the number of existing coins in the portfolio, in general, to make a reserve for the future. Then everything will be fine and you will not have to worry.

The tactics are very simple, do not sell when everything falls and sell when everything grows. By following this tactic you will never lose

The best tips that I can share to you when the market value of bitcoins or any altcoins in the market slowly goes down is to buy more coin.
Through this you can obtain more value of investment at lower prices which is very favourable to your side.

Just need to clarify that sales and purchases should be carried out for a small share of the portfolio. Otherwise, you risk being in any one asset on a large growth or fall.

Do not sell when coins fall and wait patiently, they will rise again just don’t panic. And it’s better if you can add more coins at these times. And hold your coins until you need it.

You can sell to buy lower, but you need to know some tradings things. And now is too late(maybe no) to sell, this is should be the bottom.

When the market is crashing like now a days you better to sell your coins and convert to USD. So you can buy same coins in the dip.
Few weeks back, when the btc was drooped to 10k zone, lot of traders (including me) suggested to buy btc in that price. But what happened next? It further down to 6k. BTC is crashing all the coins going down. That is the basic according to my understanding.

The best tactic in the fall of the market, when there is also no definite negative news, it is better to wait out this period. You will not earn, but will not lose.

All this is easy to say, but not easy to do.
There was really a good chance to sell everything at the peak, but later I was confused and in the end still keep. In addition, all my assets are in altcoins, and in order to quickly sell everything out there will not be enough time.

I decided for myself that I will HODL to the last.
