I hear very often from newbies how to understand that ico will be sucessful and do not read WP. Yes it is not a comics but it is a must read for an investor. In other case be ready to lose your funds.

I only read whitepapers of the projects I like the most and those that I'm going to invest in. Usually, you don't have to read them all. Often, I see right from the start that the project is bad or come to this conclusion by checking their website, SM, etc. Then there's no point in reading their whitepaper, of course. But if you are going to invest, you have to read it.

If you really want to your investment to be worth then you have to read the whitepaper then only you can get the clear idea about that project..we can decide the quality of the project by reading the whitepaper.and also can find all the necessary information in whitepaper.not only whitepaper,everything related to the ICO must closely research before investing in any ICO.

Yes I do, I have read lot of whitepaper. But the fact is some time you will find the very promising whitepaper but the project don't do well enough.
One of the toughest( to understand) whitepaper I have read is the IOTA Tangle Whitepaper. You need to know Graph theory and Differential Equation very well to understand it.
And one of the unique whitepaper I read is the PRL Whitepaper.

I do not read all the whitepapers but I have read all whitepapers on projects that are part of my long game to put it like that. Long game in crypto for me like one plus year investment.

I ensure I read the whitepaper of any project I decide to be part of either investing or doing bounty.

Whitepaper gives you the insight of the project and you see the value proposition and what the company tends to offer. 

Its also a good choice to read white papers of projects you want to partake in

It is so much better to read whitepaper of everything. I want to thank you guys for reminding this. Many people jump into useless token projects because they are greedy and non wise to spend some time reading those papers.

Many projects order the writing of white paper from specialists, so white paper can not be an indicator of the reliability of the project. But there is a lot of useful information in white paper, so it is profitable to study it.

I don't actually read All things in the Whitepapers, I go through the major points like:
1.What is the project
2. The aim and purpose
3. Why is the project
4. The important to the society
5. The team
6. Roadmap
7. The value of the token
8. Total supply
Etc.
