Media's today are puppet's of the governments and they tend to create fake news if companies are bribing them or government want's to change the knowledge of every people but not every government has the same idea because it will be always depending on your country.

Because they dont know what is the use of bitcoin, they just know it by reseaching it for their job, but they dont really know that it helped a lot of people specially those who are unemployed. If they do know what is bitcoin really does and what its use, for sure they will invest instead of making negative report.

Many countries are afraid to legalize bitcoin because it can not be controlled and used for illegal transactions, I think all countries should learn from japanese countries that have made a special regulation about bitcoin.

Of course they will continue to feed negativity about bitcoin to the public, after all they're getting paid and they have to protect the interest of the one who pays them, it may be the Government, Influential People, or even The Banks but one thing is for sure they will do their best to destabilize everything who gets in their way not just Bitcoin.

I think a lot of negative information have circulated around with bitcoins and the lack of useful updates regarding it's progress

I think the current media is influenced by the government. When the local government does not support bitcoin, the media will always declare the bad news of bitcoin, and the bad news will lead some people who do not know bitcoin to believe that bitcoin is a hoax.

Media might think that bitcoin is a threat. Or there may be one group that deliberately pays high-price to make negative news about bitcoin. Because not all media have high integrity and credibility, so let's just call it a ruse made for the benefit of a particular group.

The main reason for this is that they don't understand it! The media goes with the flow of things and just try to report things for the sake of reporting. Anyone who is deep into the crypto/blockchain world knows that regulation is not necessarily bad! A lot of media sources and news providers up to date are controlled by corporate officials that are also manipulated by greedy capitalists. The reason as to why they despise bitcoin is mainly because of its decentralization. Well we all know that media is just spreading fraud and fake news most of the time regardless of the consequences. They are just working for money and care nothing if it's truth or lie. What we need to do about those kinds of news is just to ignore it and just continue enjoying the goodness of bitcoin.
