Bitcoin was launched in 2007. It's 10 years and still no country has approved Bitcoin ??   Huh

and in 2018, 2nd richest man "Warren Buffet" said "bitcoin will end up badly"
Even if you use Bitcoin through Tor, the way transactions are handled by the network makes anonymity difficult to achieve. Do not expect your transactions to be anonymous unless you really know what you're doing.

The legal status of bitcoin varies substantially from country to country and is still undefined in many of them. Whereas the majority of countries do not make the usage of bitcoin itself illegal, its status as money varies, with differing regulatory implications. While some countries have explicitly allowed its use and trade, others have banned or restricted it. So Bitcoin is still undergoing some development, and I believe that very soon some country will approve it

In Japan bitcoin is legal, and the government encourages people to use BTC.

Israel's tax authorities have defined the BTC as an asset and start levying taxes!

This shows that BTC is legal, and BTC is full of opportunities in 2018!

Are you sure? No country has approved/legalized it? Think about Japan who are one of the most progressive nations of the world, has already legalized crypto currency. You can now pay tax using bitcoin in Arizona, USA. Even European union didn't say no to Cryptocurrency, they are indeed maintaining a positive stance towards Cryptocurrency. The latest addition to this list is Israel who had legalized Cryptocurrency and imposed 15-25% tax rate very recently.

There are countries like Canada who are strictly against ICOs but generally positive about cryptos. India neither banned it nor legalized it, they have taken the midway. So majority of the countries are not negative about bitcoin.

Israel is the first county to adopt Cryptocurrency in 2018 and I am sure a lot of other countries will join the party this year.

Bitcoin does not need approval from any country. It does not need Warren Buffet's approval. That is perhaps one of the most overlooked aspects of Bitcoin. It specifically sought to make approval redundant. You never need to trust anyone or any country to use Bitcoin. It never seeks to force itself on anyone. Using it has always been and continues to be voluntary.

Add Switzerland to the list of authorities (at least in some municipals) who've begun accepting Bitcoin as tax payments since last year. Not to mention you've always been able to buy tickets for state-run public transport there with Bitcoin.

Add Vanuatu to the list of countries who accept Bitcoin for citizenship.

I could go on, others probably will. OP has to learn to use Google at least.

It is not 2007,but 2009 when first block is mined-you should read some basic facts about that History Of Bitcoin

Many countries have taken a positive attitude to BTC and cryptocurrency, and some of them are Japan,USA,Canada,Germany,Denmark,Australia and many others. You can mine&trade with cryptocurrency and pay tax without any fear of the government,BTC is become something quite normal.

We know what Mr.Buffet thinks about BTC and what he is saying for years, according to him BTC should collapse long time ago.He is already with one foot in the grave,no one should worry too much about his opinion.

I think the most plausible reason why the world has not received bitcoin as a means of payment transactions is because the world is not yet who to accept it, we see that block chain technology is too sophisticated and too fast, the times can not catch up. so many public who have difficulty using it.

besides bitcoin also has to face a very tough challenge, rejection, intimidation, and also media attack give bad news about bitcoin.

I do not believe in what is said by the buffet, I am more confident to the Japanese state, because japan better understand about all the world of technology than the buffet.
the buffet will only regret in his life.

Maybe you missed the news that Japan legalized Bitcoin in their country Smiley. After 10 years when Bitcoin price has increased from under 1$ to more than 10k$, people are becoming pay attention to Bitcoin cause of the high price and it's an easy way to earn money. But to legalize Bitcoin it's not easy as you guys think, there are a lot of problems need to be solved before Bitcoin legalized in any country.

There may not be any official approval for bitcoin or cryptocurrency, but I have seen unofficial approvals for bitcoin operations.

I think maybe because of the bad and unethical dealings associated with bitcoin, no country has the courage to say, cryptocurrency deals are approved in their country.

One country recently announced their oil backed cryptocurrency, this is one of the unofficial approvals of cryptocurrency

It was 2009 when Bitcoin started not 2007, how sure are you that there are no countries that already approved or legalized Bitcoin? Japan already made Bitcoin a legal currency and it is now used to purchase goods in stores, they even let companies to pay their employees with Bitcoin. Some countries may not be like how japan adopted it but there are lots of countries that already legalized the use of it while they are finding a way to regulate it. Warren Buffet is a businessman but also well known investor, so what do you expect him to do? he keeps talking bad things about Bitcoin, of course he will use his influence for Bitcoin price to go down so that he can buy it cheaper or he's just an old man that didn't understand how Bitcoin works.

Approval is a difficult term and is very different from adoption as legal tender which is probably more what you are getting at. You could argue that the US 'approved' bitcoin with their statement recently to allow it to grow and develop without hindering it. I do not think that any country will ever adopt bitcoin as their sole legal tender. This is not an issue, it shouldn't be Bitcoin's target.

I can say that in Australia it's legal, we have capital gains tax on it and regulation around operating an exchange in Australia.
Very much like other legal assets, what more can you ask for?

Other countries with similar policies and the USA is implementing other plans according to recent SEC discussions.

I think that Japanese would disagree with you, and the same thing goes for a lot of other countries. Regulation still has a long way to go, and yes full adoption didn't happen in any country, but bitcoin is welcome in a lot of countries, where you can even pay your taxes with it, or receive part of your salary in bitcoin.

The adoption rate is of course slow, but that is perfectly acceptable if you consider that the real boom in terms of awareness happen during 2017. We now have to wait on technological and regulation developments so that a bigger adoption might happen. But things are getting done, and I do believe that when it happens it will be a huge boom, just like it was in 2017. Things take time to develop, but once they hit a "ready state" they explode.

Russia and China are buying tonnes and tonnes of Gold.   Smiley

So what? do China and Russia really think they can re-enforce a gold backed currency again? we will see WW3 before this happens, not only that it would require a currency reset, most countries have over 10x more fiat than gold, few examples:

China = 1850 tons of gold, price per ton = $64.3 million, current total of gold in $$$  = $118,955,000,000. Chinese GDP = $11,200,000,000,000
Russia = very similar gold supply to China but about 1.2 trillion GDP
USA = $261,600,000,000 in gold supplies, GDP of $18,570,000,000,000

We've not been gold backed for a very long time and it won't happen, it's never worked and to go back to it would cause issues far past your imagination, on top of that the simple reason America puts so much in to it's military is to keep it's economical power in place... this to them is far more valuable than paying off debt.

On top of that, we are here for investments and profit, gold is one of the worst investments for profit out there, it's stable but terrible for gains.

Bitcoin is not illegal in the USA.  This means it is accepted.  Even the US government has made money selling bitcoins... how does this mean it is not accepted???  Please clarify yourself because your first statement seems to be very wrong indeed.

Second.  Warren buffet is invested in traditional investments that have made him who he is today.  If bitcoin raises this would hurt his investments by pulling money out of traditional fiat investment into crypto.  Of course he would not support it at this time because he is entrenched in the old generation that made loads of money and wants that to continue so that they don't have to learn something new.

Secretly though I doubt Warren Buffet is that ignorant to skip out on an invest that has yielded more gains than any other investment throughout recorded history.  I bet his is investing just like JP Morgan, the US Government and all the others.

Don't believe the news.  Believe common sense, and invest in Bitcoin.

10 years on and most countries have approved bitcoin to some degree, nearly every country has taxation rules for bitcoin, and very few have banned it. That is the equivalent of being accepted/approved in these countries. Are you expecting governments to replace their national current with bitcoin? Because that's never going to happen, as it removes the control the government requires to maintain control of its citizens and collect taxes.

Look at $2 Billion scam in Indian banks last week. A billionaire and big companies did the scam.

HSBC was involved in $100,000,000,000 money laundering.

Those could be "rich scammers" who are buying Bitcoin at $3000 and pushing the price up fraudently.

"Warren Buffet" said "bitcoin will end up badly"

he gave his opinion as well as you can give his opinion on anything, I think exaggerated the fact that many news channels take very seriously the opinion of some people, it reaches the point of the price of bitcoin fall only because some People said that the price will be zero dollar at the end of the year... unbelievable that people do not analyze that nobody has super powers to make price forecasts with 100% certainty

If any major terrorist attack gets funded by Bitcoin use due to decentralization and anonymity, it's GAME OVER

well, they have been fighting terrorism for years and what I find impressive... but blaming bitcoin would be a big exaggeration

My opinion is that for 10 years the reason for the country not to approve the bitcoin because It is afraid that their country's currencies will depreciate.

well, they have been fighting terrorism for years and what I find impressive... but blaming bitcoin would be a big exaggeration

A bigger attack than 9/11 attack, where will $5,000 for one Bitcoin come from ?

You know the saying "Rome was not built in a day", that's exactly what i'll liken Bitcoin to, 10 years is still not enough to convince a whole country about new technology especially when it gets to deal with finances but as time progresses, countries will see reasons to adopt the technology just as Japan and other countries have started doing....

Bitcoini is trying to get rid of the country very little, but Bitcoin is a self-sustaining currency, and very soon all countries will accept it, so I would like to invest in friends and make a good investment.

Bitcoin is not illegal in the USA.  This means it is accepted.  Even the US government has made money selling bitcoins... how does this mean it is not accepted???  Please clarify yourself because your first statement seems to be very wrong indeed.

If any major terrorist attack gets funded by Bitcoin use due to decentralization and anonymity, it's GAME OVER

Terror group ISIS, ISIL, Al-Qaeda have some 20 countries.

Yes bitcoin can be use for that purpose but who funded the terrorist 10years ago? I think its not good to pin point this kind of situation to cryptocurrency cause I believe well known people support at least one terrorist for their protection. We cannot stop that anymore accept it. Cryptocurrency are still not recognized as legal in many countries though its accepted but not fully legal.

3 years back, ISIS Bitcoin account had $3,000,000. Now it must be $30 million to $60 million in ISIS's account from Bitcoin = $10,000

Let's say ISIS has $50 million Gold. 10% profit would put it at $60 million.

Anonymity and 1000% profit, Bitcoin can be very dangerous

Bitcoin was launched in 2007. It's 10 years and still no country has approved Bitcoin ??   Huh

Uhh, bitcoin was officially launched in 2009, not 2007. Also, 2018-20017 is 11 years, bitcoin is only around for the last 9 years.

Japan is already a bitcoin-friendly country, with fair regulations for bitcoin users, and if that isn't legalization or approval in your books, then I don't know what is.

and in 2018, 2nd richest man "Warren Buffet" said "bitcoin will end up badly"

Why would I believe on someone who made so much fiat and supports fiat in the first place? The reason why these billionaires are against bitcoin is because they know their assets would be in deep trouble if everyone and their mothers began shifting their assets into bitcoin and fiat would be left alone. For all we know, these billionaires might have bought their own share of bitcoin discreetly that's why it's okay for hem to constantly go against bitcoin and begin praising it once they've made a sizable profit in the end.

In many countries  bitcoin is legalized. Japan for example  is going to start actively introducing digital currency into the economy.
They will be able in a fairly short time to become leaders in the extraction and use of bitcoins.

At the end of 2017 Goldman Sachs I think talks about the end of bitcoin, a few weeks later bloomberg reported that GS starts trading with bitcoin. They used the decrease in price to buy cheap. It is very unlikely that an other coin will replace bitcoin as the crypto primus. Bitcoin is a code and elements can be added to improve its use even more.

Some countries had already accepted bitcoin. Many may not yet accepted it but they are open on the posibility. Some made regulations to protect their people from losing money. 2017 is a great year for crypto and I'm sure that this year will be better.

I think one of the reasons why they don't think bitcoin will prosper is because they are not earning from it yet. This is also true if they lose money to another type of investment. Everyone has their own opinion and I respect them. But for me bitcoin is still a great investment. It won't last a couple of years if it isn't.

It is said China is a "cashless society" because debit and credit cards are used at shops/stores, pay bills online etc..

The future of Bitcoin looks bad/ending because Bitcoin will fail as digital currency, pay tax on Bitcoins, no anonymous transactions. All the big talks for Bitcoin are failing.

bitcoin is a threat to so many countries because the economy of any country is controlled by a centralized system of government which will make many of these countries not to support bitcoin. they believe it will be difficult to control tax as many countries rely on the tax to provide and develop the country. however, it will be a bad idea for some poor country with a low standard of living to ban bitcoin

I agree that it will be harder to tax people who have Bitcoin as there main income but I don't see any clear news that majority of the government in each country are against Bitcoin in fact I see the opposite. I see countries wanting Bitcoin to be regulated in order for the government to not only track the returns of their citizens but also to avoid crimes such as cyber theft and scams which are now popular ever since Bitcoin has started gaining mass attention.

Bitcoin will not end as what is stated on the subject, in fact more and more countries are into bitcoin that is why it becomes more popular in the world.
Other countries may have ban btc, but more and more countries are support it right now and to my opinion, bitcoin will surely dominate all the currencies in the world.

How can one country approve bitcoin if it cannot own it in the first place. Bitcoin is legal in many countries but will never be promoted nor consider it as an asset in many countries because they cannot control and regulate bitcoin. It is the people who are investing in it who is gaining profit and not the government.

By approved what do you mean? As in a country that runs solely from bitcoin? Many countries already accept that bitcoin is here to stay and of course they are going to back their own financial institutions over something they have no control over.
Moreover fiat rich people are always going to defend their interests in fiat.

Very good point on the title. But you should know by now that there are countries that have approved Bitcoin? Say, Japan. The Japanese government has been very vocal about their stance on Bitcoin, and in fact, some Japanese merchants are accepting Bitcoin as a form of payment.

Nonetheless, I see that even Bitcoin users would not want to use their Bitcoins as payment because they see it as a store of value. Hence, they hold it until time immemorial unless they are in need of cash already for whatever purpose. That is the reason I deduce that even if Bitcoin is honored, there are less transactions with it in terms of buying products, goods, and etc. because Bitcoin owners know that Bitcoin's value will grow more with time. They will be put at a disadvantaged position had they use the same to purchase items.

Many government/countries didn't approve BTC, neither they disapprove BTC. Why are they not disapproving it? Maybe it's not within their interest to do it. Everyone do something for a reason, just like many of us here, investing in BTC bcos we believe this is the future and a great way to make money.

So if BTC is not really hitting a country bottomline, why bother disapproving it. These countries could also be on board just like us.

First , Bitcoin has been here from 2009 not 2007 , and some countries has already approved it such as Japan ..
Second , a lot of countries won't ever approve bitcoin especially those where corruption is at it's most , since bitcoin will be a new asset for people to store their wealth in without fearing that their holdings get stolen by any more powerful person or organization in their country ..
The blockchain technology will certainly change the world either with bitcoin or any other crypto , but we need to make people understand it first and spread the word about it's features and use cases in order to make it a common knowledge all over the world , and adopting it everywhere then will just be a matter of time .

and in 2018, 2nd richest man "Warren Buffet" said "bitcoin will end up badly"

It has been really chaotic to the world of cryptocurrency in which bitcoin would end up badly. As for those kinda news, why dont we tend to look at the possitive side on which bitcoin can benefit us in so many ways, including different spots which made you feel secure and reliable in investing in this internet banking.

I agree to what he said. If this ever ends, it will end up badly for those having the bitcoins at that time. How will it end though ? Do you think that it will completely collapse one day ? I do not see that happening in next 100 years. See this is actually future of how most of the transactions will happen. More and more people will adopt this as there are technologcal advancements and more awareness about bitcoins.

Do you think that you will get regulated within ten years of existence and for a subject which is sensitive like finance. This is a new technology and only a few dumb countries banned the use of bitcoin or any other crypto currency altogether. Lets say when internet started booming in the early 90s ,it took a long period of time for any government to come up with some rules and regulations,so expect those kind of delays here too.
More over try to understand who Warren Buffet is,he does not have a clue about technology,he is too old to study about all these things. Tongue

for the time being Japan and korea have already started to legalize bitcoin, this is one indication that bitcoin began advancing the income State, because digital currency predictions in the future will be a lot of interest all over the world who need a fast system and other countries could be accepted.

India and China are on Warpath with Bitcoin and cryptocurrencies. With China having some 400 billionaires.

That's what I am saying.

Only a fool will buy Bitcoin at $2000 when Gold is $1350/ounce.

Call people fools only shows your limited mind...People who bought BTC at 2000$ are still in big profit today, and if they sell at top price they are profit 10 times they invested.Gold Price per ounce is today only 1328$,so you lost money when you invest in gold, smart move?

If any major terrorist attack gets funded by Bitcoin use due to decentralization and anonymity, it's GAME OVER

Terror group ISIS, ISIL, Al-Qaeda have some 20 countries.

Do you live in the cave maybe?Of these terrorist organizations there were only traces left, and what 20 countries you talking?

The amount of rubbish you wrote in your short time in the forum is pretty big, maybe is time for you to check how much money you lost these days in your glittering gold.

Can I just state the obvious here.
This guy is pure FUD, he is comparing a stable, very low gain commodity being gold to cryptocurrency, gold over the last 10 years has averaged under 5% gains per year, a high interest saving account will earn you more than gold per year and you can compound atleast with these.

Now for the part no one has stated yet, the guy has a REFERRAL LINK to a gold trading platform in his signature, I thought this forum didn't allow for this? where are the admins?

Stop feeding the idiot, he's come here not to discuss crypto but to try scare people over to his gold trading platform.

Actually they can. The government can implement laws that make the use of cryptos illegal; though people can still use it. Like how marijuanas are banned in certain countries but there are people who use it without the knowledge of authorities.

There are countries in which bitcoin is legalized. Before making such statements, better study a better topic, which you decided to discuss Wink Also, bitcoin should be viewed not only as an investment, but also as a technology!

10 years passed still no country given approval means there could be a technical issue related to the economy of the country that's the reason why most of the countries saying no to bitcoin. Needs to frame rules and regulations before legalizing it that has not happened yet, somebody has to take the onus in order to make it legal.

Haven't you heard of the country Japan? Japan technically is the original birthplace of bitcoins based on theories circulating in the internet. Japan made bitcoins pretty much a part of their lives. So bitcoins are already legal in that country and no one can stop it.

So Bitcoin is still undergoing some development, and I believe that very soon some country will approve it
In my country, Bitcoin was not allowed to operate by the government, while Bitcoin banned Bitcoin while others accepted Bitcoin as a primary trading currency. Many people questioned whether these countries had ever permitted Bitcoin activity in the future? And why do they allow Bitcoin to work in the future?

Governments do not have any solid logics for going against bitcoin and other crypto currencies which are there simply to help people. People would not stop using bitcoin because it has changed their lives in the best possible ways.

The general director of "Mastercard" Ajay Banga spoke extremely negatively about the crypto-currency, calling it "garbage".

Digital currencies are a direct competitor of a company like Mastercard. Therefore it is not surprising that when the CEO of Mastercard was asked to express his opinion on the crypto currency, he demonstrated an extremely negative attitude.

Syria war: Air strikes in Eastern Ghouta 'kill 500'

Syrian government forces have killed more than 500 civilians during a week of intense bombardment of a rebel enclave near Damascus, activists say.The victims in the Eastern Ghouta include 121 children, says the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights, a UK-based group monitoring the conflict.

Syrian government forces backed by Russia have been pounding the area since last Sunday. The UN Security Council is struggling to agree on a ceasefire resolution. A vote has been delayed several times since Thursday, and is now due to be held later on Saturday.

How bad is the situation in the Eastern Ghouta? On Saturday, the Syrian Observatory said at least 29 civilians were killed, including 17 in the main town, Douma - bringing the total to over 500 for the week. The group said the strikes were being carried out by both Syrian and Russian planes - although Russia denies direct involvement.

If you look closely, this Troll is not quoting from any sources. He is simply spewing a lot of FUD to discredit Bitcoin. He also

removed his "Goldbroker" signature, to hide the fact that he is shilling for Gold. {Well, it is actually obvious, if you look at the trend

of his posts} I think it is time for us to spam some "Goldbug" forums with some Bitcoin information. By the looks of this guys

posts, it is clear that they have no clue what Bitcoin is.  Grin

So much countries already legalized the bitcoins. For example in United States. Arizona. Mexico. Brazil. Bolivia. European union. The bitcoins is already legal on this country. But i think the other countries sayi g that even its legal. Theyre convincing or warning people that the bitcoins is not really sure about investing youre money on it. I think they're still investigating this kind of investments.

I'm sure that someone already answered  Japan already. If the OP is not aware, Japan has already legalizes bitcoin since April of last year. And then followed by Australia in July. And then there's Belarus, Singapore, South Korea and Switzerland who is very friendly to crypto specially bitcoin.

Why are you listening to WB? He is old and a traditional investor? He doesn't know about how crypto's work. We all know that he is rich because of his investments, but crypto is different.

So let me re-phrase your question,

Why is bitcoin still here despite all the negativity that its getting from the likes of WB, Jamie Dimon and other nations who are against it?

In 1997, I was thinking of buying a 25 cents per square feet land in an undeveloped area. Today, the country's biggest international airport is coming up within 10 kilometers of that area. The land price now in that area is $110 to $200 per square feet.

That is 440 to 800 times profit in 20 years. 100% supported by governments, investors and banks.

I dont think so. Some countries have already approved the same like Japan ,European Union & Israel recently in 2018. It does take time for anything to get regularised and its a process of approval from many govt bodies. They consider many factors both hard and soft and also see the cross currencies are not being affected , this is the major concern they see before approval. Also, i hope positively that in the near future we will see many more countries in that column and be proud for these achievement.

Approve? Here in my country bitcoins are approved and we are free to use in our businesses, In Japan, Russia, India almost the whole world has used it and they have approved bitcoins. Do you research, And first learn something before you ask. The question is that you are not really sure about the answer

Japan loves bitcoins, though. You have to consider reading news on the internet because obviously, Japan is going nuts for bitcoins and a lot bas been speculating that it came from the land of the rising sun. Technically, bitcoins are not illegal in Japan.

I agree in most of the points posted. Bitcoin is indeed seen at various perspectives from country to country, and/or is accepted with regulations.
But I would like to note that a few countries have announced the legality of bitcoin, while in some they announced that it is not a currency but a property.
Either way, it is a good start in accepting bitcoin in government system.

Bitcoins have yet not marked as a legal way of buying and selling by the entire world and talking about the bitter side we can say this easily that it is never be going to stand against the paper money in terms of legality. This is due to the fact that it is decentralized and no country cold own it therefore it is not trustworthy in terms of being stated as a national currency.

I think bitcoin was published at 2009?? But i dont think your statement is backed with evidence, how could you tell now country has approved bitcoin? Bitcoin as lots of people say that Japan currently approved bitcoin as they implemented tax for exchanger which resides in Japan. They may not suggested people to buy or investing in Bitcoin but they still taking profit from tax by collecting exchange fee and i think that should be consider as a legal approval, and not to mention Russia and India also already started to implementing that law.

If the predictions like that bitcoin will end and not supported I disagree and nowadays a lot of ico and crypto, so whether it will end in this year, or if it really is a technology that will go forward and unify the whole world and we are now in the digital virtual world

There is always money to be made no matter the industry you are in, those kind of stories are not that rare for real estate but those opportunities are only for those that take the time to make a through research and the same happens in this market with the difference the market of cryptocurrencies moves faster so you could get those profits in less than a decade if you choose the right coin.

If I had purchased that land, today government or some big real estate developer or banks would be buying land from me. 100% legal that would have given me 200 to 400 times more money/profit

Yes there is some country that accepting bitcoin as a legal payment system on where many people can be able to use it and the government is also encouraging the citizens to use it but before using it they also advice them about the risk that involves in bitcoin. As we can see now the bitcoin continuously increased its popularity in over the world so if the country didn't approved it why many people continuously know it and everyday there is a people who join and invest on it.

This is another man who knows just a tiny bit about Bitcoin and yet has the gall to spread FUD. This is nothing but a thread to start spreading a negative image of Bitcoin. But the responses here show that they do not agree. Well, who will agree to someone who is so ignorant about Bitcoin? First, there are so many countries that are very much supportive of Bitcoin. Second, Warren Buffet has been proven wrong about Bitcoin. Bitcoin will of course end, but it will happen way after Warren Buffet is gone.

Sure, as mate mentioned that above some countries are happy to welcome bitcoin. But i want to clear you that ten year is not enough age to become a legalize currency of a country. You should know that to become legalize in any country or to become a part of the rules of a country that will take long time as it is not done directly but there is some legal procedure through which every person or product need to be passed. So i think 10 years is still low age for bitcoin to become legalize in any country.

10 years and no country has approved bitkoyn Huh

There are already countries that legalized Bitcoin. These countries thanks to this action a large number of dividends will be collected thanks to Bitcoin. By the way, it is possible to directly depend on the prohibition of Bitcoin and the corruption component of the state. Bitcoin completely destroys all of us a well-known centralized, banking system. It is not possible to manage and ban Bitcoin, but those countries that begin to act in symbiosis with digital gold are already taking steps towards the economy of the new Higher Order

Don't worry mate, It's just February of the current year. There's still a long before the year ends and there's a lot more things that may happen to bitcoins. Let's just hope that all of those were good things.
Although bitcoins are amazingly changing the whole world in world of economics but still our governments are sleeping. There have been so discussions about bitcoins in our country, but still no better results could have been seen yet now. They are banning it all over the country and now, this ban is increasing in other countries too. But we are still much hopeful for the better days.

The acceptance is still a worldwide probelm. No one wants to lead the official declaration for the others who want to follow to also accept. But I think gradually governments will understand and accept and the future will be bright

Bitcoin hasn't got a good image in some other countries but I think it is wrong saying that no country has approved the use of bitcoin. Because for example in Japan using bitcoin is legal and you can even use cryptocurrencies for payment purposes. There are other countries too like Canada and Germany that has legalized bitcoin.

A lot of Warren Buffet's predictions are disappointing. He's a nightmare. After two years, all countries will endorse Bitcoin. The world economy is changing. States have created legislation to regulate the crypto money market, secure the market, and protect digital investors.

The meaning of Bitcoin is freedom. Bitcoin does not need any country. Crypto market is getting bigger everyday, and also many of people learned about bitcoin in end of 2017. On the other hand there are many countries working on their own crypto money.
In my opinion in 2020 btc will be using in many country to trade.

I might be mistaken, but hasn’t Japan approved Bitcoin? This country, which has a pretty small territory, has become one of the largest markets of Bitcoin and other cryptocurrency. I suppose BTC will be approved in more countries.

It is just like internet, 20 years ago. 20 years ago there are no rules about internet, there are no company who use it and government didn't see it could leverage their country. But after ten years of it's existence there are bad news spreading that the internet is the source of all unpleasant activities, but still even today internet survives and it become more useful to government and the people. I hope that will be the same to cryptos, another more ten years and the government will be used to it and even promote the utilization of it to improve their country.

In my opinion, the prohibition of bitcoin by the state is due to differences in understanding between the public and the government.

Society considers bitcoin is digital money and is the same as ordinary money, but it is in digital form. While the government sees that bitcoin is not worth a currency, since almost 80% of the activity that occurs in bitcoin is selling and buying bitcoins instead of buying something using bitcoin. It can be concluded that the bitcoin is actually the same as gold, not money.

Actually, the government does not mean to ban bitcoin, but they only intend to urge the people not to use bitcoin as a means of payment, but the government still allows people to use bitcoin properly, for example, investing, trading and the like.

I think the government is a real barrier to the development of bitcoin and cryptocurrency. The cryptocurrency market is facing real challenges from governments in recent countries such as China, Japan, Korea and India. It seems to create a wave of opposition in turn. I think the situation of cryptocurrency will be difficult in the coming time.

I don’t really think so that 10 years is that much period of time in which you can convince any of the government to believe in any of the currency which was not there in this world before and to make that currency as legal currency. However, things are getting better and soon we will be going to hear some good news regarding this as well but we have to keep little patience in ourselves for that. Countries like Japan and France will soon declare it as legal currency.

Russia is not in this list. Bitcoin doesn't have any legal status in this country. But we can pay attention on Russian neighbor - Belarus. For last time there were many positive news from it.

Try reading news about bitcoin, your claim that no country has approved bitcoin is a false statement. If bitcoin is not approved or accepted in a country how can bitcoin be changed to fiat currency, that alone will give you hint that bitcoin is accepted by some countries like japan, south korea, US and many more. There are also country that regulates the flow of cryptocurrency in their monetary systems to avoid inflations over the market.

Dangers of decentralization

Moriuchi, who is now at the digital intelligence firm Recorded Future, estimates that North Korea earns between $15 million and $200 million by creating and selling cryptocurrencies and then turning it into hard cash. (Their take fluctuates depending on the digital currency’s worth when North Korea cashes out.)

Oh correction, 8-9 years only.

Check the profile of satoshi here and you will see technicals that will blow your mind.
Japan is the first step and their economy didnt even plunged even after bitcoin acceptance.

I would love to go to that country and test how much fun is it. Lool at the brighter side and maybe you will see more development that will happen.

Many countries have legalized Bitcoin and some countries are thinking to implement in their country. Japan, south Korea, Canada and Singapore have already legalized Bitcoin, few countries are paying part of their salary in Bitcoin. There's more good news to come from major players to accept Bitcoin legally soon.

Already in a decent number of countries, the legalization of bitcoin was successful, purchases were being made, property was being bought, and even ATMs in Las Vegas were put in large quantities. Strange that quickly develop such as Japan and the United States have long been legalized, the rest are eager for this.

and in 2018, 2nd richest man "Warren Buffet" said "bitcoin will end up badly"
If I remember correctly, bitcoin has been created in 2009 and not in 2007. Are you sure with what you are saying that no country has approved bitcoin? You're making me laugh right now or maybe you are not reading some articles online.

Now, take time to read some articles online and see if NO ONE approves bitcoin. There are some countries who are using bitcoin now especially Japan and Philippines because their government supports this new technology that has been introduced to us. Even though it is risky, they accepted it and legalized.

Maybe you are one of Warren Buffet's slaves that are being paid and saying some useless words here in the forum.  Wink

With a frenzied attention from Wall Street, as well as venture companies bitcoin was transferred to another financial level. The Crypto currency began to become a legal instrument for capital investment by large companies. The growth of Bitcoin is promoted by the so-called "psychology of the masses" - more people are ready to invest in the crypto currency No. 1 only because it is popular. In general, bitcoin is still in the process of becoming.

Bitcoin is a new generation of decentralized digital currency, created and operating only on the Internet. No one controls it, currency issuance occurs through the work of millions of computers around the world, using a program to calculate mathematical algorithms. Today for Bitcoin, as for dollars, euros or rubles, you can buy anything on the Internet, and it trades on the stock exchanges just like they do. But the most important difference between Bitcoin and all other forms of money is decentralization. No institution in the world controls Bitcoin. The central control body of the network does not exist, the network is distributed to all participants, each computer that produces bitcoins is a participant in this system. This means that no central body has the ability to dictate the rules to the owners of bitcoins. And even if some part of the network goes offline, the payment system will continue to work stably. In my opinion, it is difficult or almost impossible to settle bitcoin at the legislative level of the country as a legitimate means of payment.

Israel is the first county to adopt Cryptocurrency in 2018 and I am sure a lot of other countries will join the party this year.

some countries will follow
Their main consideration for being able to maintain cryptocurrency is blockchain technology
with transparency in finance, maybe only a few presidents agree, but in fact the people strongly agree
current conditions, corruption occurs only in the seat of government, and the people just see it
even in a democracy, blockchain technology will be adopted either sooner or later

You are wrong about this. Some countries have made bitcoin legal like Japan. Also, there are rumors for other country that they have banned bitcoins but this is not true. For instance, in India, the finance minister made a statement recently that all people involved in illegal practices with bitcoins (like stealing tax) will be sent to jail. Now, the media came with news next day that all people who have spent money in bitcoins in India will be arrested. The news spread on internet and prices dropped to considerable extent. Later that news was found to be false.

yes it seems to be a long process, but at this stage the countries have definitely explored what it does. my country has just begun to open it, when there is so little demand, accepting it is a difficult process to indicate that we should expect to accept a lot of countries in a few years.

It has been almost 10 years since bitcoin was born and countries were divided on how to deal with it. There are countries where bitcoin is legal like Japan, they encourage their people to maximize the use of cryptocurrency. There are countries who approved bitcoin contrary to your speculation.

According to some report, Germany is the first country to accept bitcoin but it hard to prove so I think it is Japan which is the first country to officially recognized bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies as legal money last April 2017. Bitcoin is also reported legal in US, Canada, Singapore and some countries in Europe but they are subject to regulations. In other countries, although the bitcoin is not legalized, the government allowed their citizens to buy and trade it.

It is alleged that Infraud was created during 2001 by Mr. Medvedev.

You should really take some action regarding some of the basics things when reading, you need to read whole article with understanding and not just a part.Where in article you see that BTC is existed in 2001?Infraud is maybe created that year, but it is exposed and destroyed just recently and one of the co-founder was in possession of BTC but in year 2017/2018.So there is no BTC in 2001,only in your imagination.

Yeah this is not true that no century have legalized bitocins in their vicinity. This type of information is not considered to be prevailed through this forum because it is causing a bad note to bitcoins. When a newcomer comes and sees this, what impact he would made for bitocins? So please do a little kindness to bitocins and don’t share such unauthentic news.

Oh god can we please stop quoting Mr. Buffet and his irrational fears about this market? You don't need a stamp of approval for Bitcoin to know some countries are working with it intimately. Just look at the countries that are taxing it, that is close as a stamp of approval as you are going to get.

Who cares wallet Warren says. He knows nothing. Bitcoin doesn't need and never will need anything from the government.  People are the ones that determine what they want to trade with. The people involved in the trade choose what they accept as payment. It has nothing to do with the government or anyone else for that matter. I am not sure why people think this way I think they don't understand crypto.

Majority of the countries are positive about cryptocurrencies, bitcoin has been around for 10 years but the government just paid attention to it just recently when thevalue of bitcoin surpases that of gold, the government are trying to regulate bitcoin and devising ways for the government to benefit as well. Countries like Israel and Japan imposes taxes for bitcoin investment just like any other type of investment in their country.

Some countries seem to be more ahead of the game than others. Canada seems to be doing a lot of good work in this space, passing progressive laws regarding crypto currency. Also all the latest news coming from Australia is very positive.

Most countries are still in the process of working out how to handle it. Tax evasion concerns are valid, are are security concerns. Governments move slowly and it will take time for regulations to be worked out that protect nations from the negatives BTC brings with it, while also allowing the positive outcomes to be utilised.

It is funny but some countries have noticed its citizens investing money in bitcoins only after it was in the news for hitting $15000 mark. For instance, the Indian government had been making a lot of statements regarding bitcoins after December 2018. They have not yet approved the bitcoins but a lot of people are investing here .

I was surprised to hear that there had been exchanges operating in India for last 8 years. I am sure that they got all the permission from government authorities before carrying out business here.

10 years in terms of a financial revolution furthermore regarding fiat currency is not a very long time period but it is obvious that during these 10 years very serious steps has been taken as well as the popularity of it rose significantly

I agree 100%. How did Bitcoin get $350,000,000,000 in its climb from $1 to $20,000 in 9 years, in the first place ??

bitcoin is a digital currency created in 2008 by satoshi nakamoto currency in designed using a computer network called bitcoin. In the first 10 years many countries do not approve bitcoin because bitcoin has not shown perfect results. by the year 2018 bitcoin has become the top of all other online business.

Bitcoin is a new codeword that has not been recognized by governments since 2008. Bitcoin, on the other hand, helps transactions that the government does not control or pay taxes, and the government does not like it. Bitcoin is a solution to reduce and eliminate inflation so the government can not use inflation but a tool for economic management.

I do not think that will happen, and I'm sure later countries will agree with Bitcoin. if indeed Bitcoin will end, then it is a big disaster for Bitcoin players.
Agree with you bitcoin is the main currency now a day at a lot of places and it is increasing he investors as much as bitcoin is getting high in price so and the value. More countries are accepting bitcoin so it is the reason why people love to have bitcoin so that if you are traveling to any country you will be able to use bitcoin as it is easy and reliable to carry, it is anonymous by nature so it is very safe as no one will be able to know that how much bitcoin you have in your bitcoin wallet and it can be hold for the long time without any risk.

Really? I think you haven't heard of Russia yet, one of the biggest and strongest economically-wise and military-wise countries in the world, setting up bitcoin banks and transaction areas as well as facilities that allow bitcoin investors to withdraw their investments faster and nore efficient. Germany did the same thing too as well as the Philippines although I must say bitcoin is not really regulated in the said country.

Bitcoin is welcome in Japan, people in japan would like to accept this and willing to use it as payment from retail shops.Though it has the tough beginning in 2018, more and more would accept and settle down regulations about crypto-currencies because we pretty sure that blockchain technology will be useful in the world.

Bitcoin is created is not to be approved by any country because the technology applied bitcoin using decentralization system. Pure bitcoin in the control of its users around the world so that if it is legalized by the whole country then maybe the system to be used will be not decentralized and it will be a lot of protests from its users because it can cause harm to its users with various payments that will become regulation in each country.

Still bitcoin is an independent and cannot link to any government. Some countries allow transactions in Bitcoin and some don’t just like in Japan, bitcoin is a big trend. The government has a positive stance in relation to the Digital currency, the country is striving to ensure the safest transactions in Bitcoin

Many third world country is not that strict in bitcoin i believe? Instead they allow trading platform to occur and maybe they have their own plan for bitcoin now that they are eager to increase their GDP thru bitcoin. There are still countries that as long as it brings influence for their economy to go high, they are willing to accept it eventhough there are potential risk in every transactions

I think bitcoin purpose is to provide their patron to have a decentralized currency anonymous in nature and no boundaries. There's  no need to the government  to intervene that why there is no need for government approval as long as everybody will  recognize bitcoin there's no need a government to intervene what the government should do would be the protection of their citizens against scamming.

Surely not like that. Today, many policymakers in the world already know about digital currencies like Bitcoin, and some countries are beginning to enforce the rules of the digital currency.

Although, the legal status of Bitcoin and the digital currency is still a hot debate to date, but significant progress is evident in some countries. Japan is one of the countries that legalize Bitcoin as a legitimate payment instrument in the country.

Hah! What did you say? No country has approved bitcoin? Hah! again. For your information, there are lot of countries that already approved bitcoin to be part of their daily living, like, Japan who is one of the most successful nation in the world, and take note, it's not just the bitcoin they've accept but also the whole cryptocurrency community, another is Arizona in USA, they've let their people to use bitcoin to pay their taxes. The latest country that let bitcoin entry to their territory is Israel, it is also the first country who let bitcoin be part of them this 2018 and I think there are lot of more country will be part of our list in the near future.

They think Btc is a danger to such a large number of countries on the grounds that the economy of any nation is controlled by a centralized system of government which will make a large number of these countries not to help Btc. They trust it will be hard to control assess the same number of countries depend on the expense to give and build up the nation. Be that as it may it will be a terrible thought for some poor nation with a low expectation for everyday life to ban Btc

You are wrong, very wrong about this. Are you pretty sure that after 10 years, it was created, bitcoin is not legal and regulated in any country? Many country as of know acknowledged bitcoin and some are mode of payments and it is legal by the way. Can you show us your proof for this? It is hard to believe though.

If you are expecting an express approval or acceptance by any country, you would not get it. There are indirect approvals already by countries. Because of the decentralized nature of cryptocurrency operations, government of different countries can not totally control it, the way it does for fiat currency. So, they would not naturally like it and at the same time be able to defeat it.

If by approval you mean implementation then yes, no one is accepting it as a currency and it won't be accepted in the future.
Bitcoin is adopted as such within many countries that want to evolve and gain influence amongst the crypto market users.
Bitcoin won't be accepted by countries because each country has their own currency to take care off. Bitcoin is just an obstacle to which they must adapt if they won't want to lose the needed money from their citizens that are investing in the cryptos.

When regarding to the word approved means being an official currency, it is no, Bitcoin is a decentralised cryptocurrency and no country could control it or hold it as their official currency, but speaking to legalising transactions there are many counties that approved bitcoin as a legal tender and Japan is the one of them. It is 9 years and counting, to be corrected, we are almost their the bitcoin be globally adapted.

The main reason is that, Bitcoin can not be use as a currency because it is too much speculative nature thats why many countries are not interested. Only Japan give it legal status. You can consider bitcoin as an asset. Bitcoin will not end up it will break previous high in 2018.

In order to "approve it" governments need to regulate it. This takes years to work out, and only now are they starting to take it seriously. The problem is, the more they dig into it, the more likely they are to ban it, rather than approve it.

Will need to wait what my country decides on as they are still reviving if needs to banned or regulated. It seems that till now things are not so positive that it may be accepted but hopes are high that they would not disappoint their citizens.

Countries are listed in a certain order, because each country has its own characteristics, differences in population, connection to the Internet, etc. However, all of these countries have demonstrated their loyalty to the cryptocurrency, whether on behalf of the population, the government or both.

Yes they are ten years since the bitcoin blockchain goes online. But i think we got a huge success in this ten yeas. When you look at the start of the bitcoin blockchain, there was a dev or a dev team, who launched it. People do just for fun install the wallet and mined the coin. You could ask in the forum if someone send you a bitcoin to test it. And what we got now? A million dollar industry who is trying to get as many bitcoins as possible. Maybe there is no country who accept it. But there are many people who stay behind this coin!

On the contrary, right now, many countries take bitcoin in a new light and award him with the merits of the development of the economic system and the convenience of transactions.

Bitcoin was launched in 2007. It's 10 years and still no country has approved Bitcoin ??   Huh

and in 2018, 2nd richest man "Warren Buffet" said "bitcoin will end up badly"

A lot of countries have appoved bitcoins and even allowed the trade of other cryptocurrencies. I believe that Japan has been crowned the only country to ever have loved bitcoin so much, they support it with their entire countru and government backing it up. Might even be a possible replacement for Yen.

In the EU, transactions using bitcoin are considered legal. Similarly with the G7 countries (Canada, France, Germany, Italy, Japan, Uk, and America) have legalized bitcoin. Neither with other countries. Most bitcoins are considered legal and can be used in transactions as a means of payment, traded as commodities and exchanged for regular currency. But there are some countries that are also firmly to bitcoin. Like Bolivia, for example, in 2014, Bolivia's central bank has declared it official to block bitcoin. In Ecuador bitcoin is also considered illegal. Not just bitcoin instead, but also other digital currencies. the government prioritizes transactions with the use of local currency that is the government-regulated dollar.

Well, this is a good news for people like me then. Adapting cryptocurrency is not bad at all.For me, it really showed developments on countries who already saw the good advantages of BTC.Besides BTC has been here for 9years and and it gained so much attention not just on famous people but also with average people.

Yup, you are right, there are already quite a good number of countries that accept bitcoins as another option in the long list of payment methods for their people and for the businesses and establishments that run in their countries. I think the op has been fed with the wrong information that led him to having such conclusion and actually believe the fuds. But I think that after reading some of the great responses, the op will realize that he is wrong and that it really pays of to confirm the sources of every information first before even thinking about believing them.

In actual truth bitcoin is that thing which is more secured then any another online technology , even the high encrypted banking system in the real life are not much better than what the bitcoin is , so such types of achievement by the bitcoin showing a good result to gain the market and also many good minded people understands very well that how much the safe they are with bitcoin .
And here another thing that is the approval as a real currency by no one country is also a good thing because no one excatly knows that from which place bitcoin is operating , but still they approved bitcoin use with regulations rule , so that no one can use bitcoin for illegal purpose .
Here in my opinion , everything going well with the bitcoin , but we are getting in bitcoin illusion by many Rumours only , we should remain with the positive and real truth with bitcoin but not go for any negativity with this .

Legalizing bitcoins. (How stupid does it get ?) If spanking don't work i don't know what will.

How much control is needed ?

I bought some bitcoin the other day at a reseller that runs "abuse checks" requiring identification the other day.
Still haven't received the coin (or fraction of a coin). That is how much "legalization" is worth now a days.

Throw some "shit" and see what sticks.

There are a lot of hypothetical assumptions from some peoples who states on end of bitcoins. they don't see it a replacement to fiat money and neither a great investment tool. How about when there is sudden price surge? it gives you more gain as compared to centralized $

few counties have adopted, but most goes with the concept of seeing bitcoin as a crypto bubble. Some countries(including mine) have taken all measures on not to get involved with any digital currencies activities.

A lot of countries have already legalized using bitcoin in their countries as a form of currency. The reason a lot more countries haven't accepted it is not because bitcoin is not good, but it is because they have not found a way to put taxes on bitcoin income so they are taking their time until they can tax it before they approve it for use in their countries.

This is a good reason to talk about bitcoin suppression in many countries. I have another reason to talk about this. I think bitcoin is being used to do illegal things, nameless transactions and government can not verify identity. The government is afraid of its people soon becoming criminals when bitcoin is a powerful tool for illegal acts.

Are you sure no country has approved Bitcoin? Many countries have accepted bitcoin and stayed positive on cryptocurrency. They have been using bitcoin in business transaction such as paying taxes, booking flights and ATMs. Bitcoin cannot please all people.. Its natural..

Even if the 2nd richest man have those words for bitcoin, the existence of bitcoin still depends on the people that believes in it..

Over the past 10 years, bitcoin has grown tremendously. By the end of 2017, bitcoin prices reached $ 20,000. The bitcoin market is expanding around the world. However, no country has accepted bitcoin. Japan is a pioneer in the development of bitcoin. They encourage people to use bitcoin. The Japanese government is making every effort to make bitcoin the national currency.

What is your basis 10 years from no country aprove bitcoin, actually last year there have more country accept bitcoin as currency not only the bitcoin including altcoins.

If there is no country that approved bitcoin then what you think about Japan and other country who regulated bitcoin then think twice. A lot of countries are now in the mode of thinking of accepting the cryptocurrencies for their country because just like Japan, it accepted and approved bitcoin and it resulted bitcoin to get more demand and also it resulted Japan to get more profit by having bitcoin.

there is also a opinion that bitcoin is nearing death. because Bitcoin is an experiment, and just like most experiments, they can fail.
and I do not know what will happen in the future?
bitcoin may be developing or may be like the opinion above.
but from the depths of my heart the deepest bitcoin will not die because technology is getting more and more developed with the technology more sophisticated everyone will be easier to do the activity let alone bitcoin make it easier for everyone to become miliader

No country will never accept bitcoin as a legal currency... it can be accepted and "tolerate" as a means of exchange, like it has been regulated already in some countries (Japan for example).

It can be a problem if their are still many countries who doesnt approved and trust bitcoin. But if we still continue to increase the popularity of bitcoin to other countries, just maybe we could still do something to add more bitcoin friendly countries.

Many countries have not even denied about allowing bitcoins. Most of the countries are just silent about bitcoins and the fact is that they cannot control is all. Any sensible leader will not oppose something that is being used by the people of his country to earn good money. It is actually a boon for developing countries.

and in 2018, 2nd richest man "Warren Buffet" said "bitcoin will end up badly"

I respect this person but he might have his own reasons to say this. He is involved with stocks and shares and thus it makes sense for hi to oppose anything that stands as competition to these.

The Japanese government is making every effort to make bitcoin the national currency.

I doubt that. They are using Bitcoin but I doubt that they will make it a national currency since Bitcoin is a decentralized digital currency, it will be a great mistake they will be doing.

Bitcoin is a volatile currency and with a lot of other people from other country, if they unite they can manipulate the price of Bitcoin that will affect the economy of their country if Japan really do that.

Legalizing of bitcoin is very hard to implement because a lot of things we need to do or they.
Especially for the countries lawmakers. Because they also need to thrash out what bitcoins all about then they also need to amend for the legalization of btc after that they also need to discuss and explain to all the citizens of it.
So I'm still hoping that someday bitcoin will be freely use all over the world.

Bitcoin was launched in 2007. It's 10 years and still no country has approved Bitcoin ??   Huh

and in 2018, 2nd richest man "Warren Buffet" said "bitcoin will end up badly"

Japan has fully integrated bitcoins to their financial system, for your information. So it has been approved in Japan for a long time ago. There are plenty of developing countries aiming to have bitcoins and other cryptocurrencies to be their means for trading and bartering for food.

That could be devastating if it will happen. It's just like bitcoin has no value at all. Having said that means you can't use bitcoin for 10 years and that's a long span of time. But I highly doubt that specially a lot of people are approved in using bitcoin and its getting popular too. Other reason is that bitcoin is internet related and our generation can't live without internet because it makes life faster and easier

I bought some bitcoin the other day at a reseller that runs "abuse checks" requiring identification the other day.
Still haven't received the coin (or fraction of a coin). That is how much "legalization" is worth now a days.

They have send the btc now. 21 confirmations and still not showing up at the receiving exchange..

There are countries approved the use of bitcoin especially in Japan, the government already recognize the bitcoin as part of their currency. As well as in the Philippines, the government gave an authority to one private company to utilize the transaction of bitcoin and they are planning to implement some rules and regulation of bitcoin.

As far as I know, the usage of Bitcoin is approved in a lot of nations around the world. And I hope that after 2-3 years from now, it will be legal in the vast majority of the world nations.

They ban it across the country and now, this ban is increasing in other countries as well. But we are still looking forward to better days, bitcoin amazingly transforms the entire world economy but still our government sleeps. There's been a discussion of bitcoin in our country, but still no better results can be seen now

Not only Japan but many other countries are also using Bitcoin for instant transaction and for trading. There is a long list. Among the top 10 countries for BTC merchants, Italy, United States, United Kingdom, Finland, Australia, Singapore, Netherlands, Canada and Slovenia are highlighted. If we talk about the most accommodating country for Bitcoin, it is Isle of Man. Besides these facts, the number of Bitcoin ATMs is also in large amount but we do not take them into account while ranking countries.

The government of the world country you see today also invest in bitcoin. Although the reason why the world bank may not have officially recognize bitcoin is the fear of killing the banking industry. Abd I also think we have some countries like China that even go to the point of building their own mining technology.

Smiley    I think you not to about news that Japan legalized bitcoin prices after leaving 10 years where bitcoi. Prices actually below 1$ for up to 10k$.people are increasingly paying attention to the bitcoin because in the rise of the price and its an easy way to make money .its legalizing bitcoin. its not easy as you're calm think there are a lot of problem that need to be solved before the bitcoin is legalized overseas .let just hoping that all gonna be alright and were good things.

And it came into hearing that bitcoins have been legalized in Australia and America. But don’t know much about this news’ authenticity. So yes, like you have said, one must research properly before posting anything over here. Because people came here from different backgrounds. Some are newbies too so it must be giving them best of the knowledge rather false or improper one.

The society always takes something new for a long time, and bitcoin has reached popularity recently. Before, no one paid attention to cryptocurrencies, and now the whole world is interested in them. Therefore, it is difficult to judge by the fact that governments around the world do not want to communicate with bitcoin and cryptocurrencies. It is easier for them to be in a neutral state than to accept or reject cryptocurrencies.

I will be surprised if Japan and China has not approved Bitcoin by now with what I thought I have heard and read, for countries that are yet to accept , I believe they still need to be convinced about Bitcoin. But being just approval to be used anywhere and not to end the use of their accepted currency. It should not be a big deal.

Hi, where do you get to opinion? Ten years no country approved? There are many countries legalize bitcoin, don't bring FUD to the forum. Japan, South Korea, Australia, Swiss are welcome to bitcoin. They are not weak countries. They are strong countries. USA also welcome bitcoin as an asset not as currency , Canada too. Russia bitcoin is not illegal. DO you read G20 talk. There are many countries that legalize bitcoin. There are some neutral. There are some ban bitcoin.  If bitcoin illegal in all countries you can do trading. bittrex is based in US. and many exchanger in Japan , hongkong, south korea, Indonesia and others.

A lot of countries have appoved bitcoins and even allowed the trade of other cryptocurrencies. I believe that Japan has been crowned the only country to ever have loved bitcoin so much, they support it with their entire countru and government backing it up. Might even be a possible replacement for Yen.

Few number of country which already accept bitcoin and legalize it is not enough to make bitcoin grow much again.
We need more and more again because 5 country accept bitcoin and another 1 country ban bitcoin, its still making the price very strong down.

Russia is in the process of tabling laws relating to bitcoins, the Japanese government has legalized the use of bitcoins , the us government is studying the prototype , even though there has not been widespread legalization major hurdles have been overcome as majority of the countries that had implemented bans/ talked about bans are now in favor of bitcoins......we have to understands that the economic implications of using bitcoins are major ones and as such it should be expected that no government would hurriedly implement bitcoins into their structure ....alas giant steps and gains have been made and im sure by the end of 2019 that bitcoins would have been entrenched into most if not all economies.

Do not be easy to believe by someone's thinking. Because the richest person is not our benchmark for making decisions.

Bitcoin is already Legal in some developed countries. For example Switzerland and Japan. And Japan holds the largest amount of Bitcoin today.

It seems to me that in February, there were already countries that were in favour of Bitcoin (I am thinking of Japan in particular)? Unless the question is whether they have accepted it as their national currency and that may never happen... Sad

What do you mean approved? You mean recognize bitcoin as a currency? No country will ever do that since bitcoin is not backed by world bank like other currencies to. Our government supported bitcoin but they are taking a close look for those who abuse its use like money laundering and other stuff. I don't know if Japan approved bitcoin but I think they did already since they have a lot of btc's.

It is not true that since the 10 years of bitcoin existence no country has approved it. pls kindly always gather your information right. 'cos as i speak now some countries like Vanuatu, Japan, South Korea, Australia, Swiss  and some African countries Nigeria, South Africa too to  mention a few. as now welcome to bitcoin some even use it to pay bills and tax clearance in some of these countries.

Bitcoin fell from $20,000 to $6,500 the moment Bitcoin ran into government agencies in 2018.

I'm sure that in 20 years there will either be very large transaction volume or no volume. -- Satoshi

It's 10 years, where are the Bitcoin transactions ??

each country must have many indicators in deciding whether or not the country receives bitcoins.
One of the countries that I know has legalized bitcoin is Korea.
The Korean government's decision to grant permission to bitcoin users in the country of course with a variety of rules that must be met.

I do not think that will happen, and I'm sure later countries will agree with Bitcoin. if indeed Bitcoin will end, then it is a big disaster for Bitcoin players.

No don’t be worry as it is not going to happen more and more people are not trying to buy bitcoin as in some country bitcoin is announced to be the legal currency and people are taking more and more interest in bitcoin so bitcoin is improving with each passing day, recently Japan has announced bitcoin for open and legal, use only because it is the well developed country and they know the real worth of bitcoin investment, the people of Japan says bitcoin has given them a lot of benefits.

After 10 years, many people do not accept that BTC is reality and they still fight it.

The rise of BTC will start from Asia as Asians are smarter than the West.

Reasons for this is that Bitcoin is a huge idea and it can the change the world to a very large aspect. But as always there are having some drawbacks of almost every new emerging idea.So some of the narrow-minded people are just looking at the drawbacks and they are spreading rumours about Bitcoin so therefore Bitcoin is not yet approved by any country.

Why Bitcoin need any approval from any country?
This currency is not for the government nor banks, Bitcoin created for the people to get and have the currency that will depend on the people all around the world.
and without any approval, as the world have democracy we can make this coin alive as always.

Have you checked that whether any country has approved Bitcoin or not? In countries like Japan, Germany, Australia, and Denmark, the government holds a positive attitude to Bitcoin. In some countries like Israel, USA, Arizona and Switzerland Bitcoin could be used for paying taxes. So it’s not like no country has approved Bitcoin. Also, don’t forget that Bitcoin being a decentralized concept does not need Warren’s approval or any countries’ approval to operate.

you were wrong. Japan and Germany have officially accepted Bitcoin. In the future there may be more countries accepting bitcoins after seeing the economy of Japan and Germany has grown very fast because of Bitcoin. I look forward to seeing that happen

Russian President "Vladimir Putin" did not approve Bitcoin.
Yeah number is really bad in this case. Bitcoins are not been approved by majority of countries rather they have banned them with strict compliance of sentences and crimes. So anyone if found in involved in any sort of bitcoins dealing or working, he or she will be sentenced accordingly. So people we need to work on this that soon these governments must legalize bitcoins.

You're totally wrong. All i know there's one country where bitcoin is legal and still using it. Its Japan and government giving support to it. Bitcoin is decentralized and not in under control, its unpredictable so how the second richest man "Warren Buffet" can say such thing against bitcoin.

time 10 years is a very short time to introduce bitcoin to all corners of the world, naturally there is no country that legalize bitcoin.
it takes time for each country to accept bitcoin, with the aim that they want to see the development of bitcoin. then let's support together to make the bitcoin even better.

Bitcoin has already approved and legal in some countries like Japan, Australia and England. Regarding to the Warren Buffet's view on bitcoin, being expert in one field doesn't mean his point is valid on anything (in this case, bitcoin).

The governments of many countries do not recognize Bitcoin as a currency. When you deal with money, about 34% of all transfers are taxes (corporate, personal, VAT, employment, national insurance system and so on). When one third of all payments are government taxes, and your currency is still not recognized, then this is not an appropriate unit of exchange.

Yeah japan and few other countries here have legalized bitcoins. This is wrong news that no country have legalized them. We must be aware of such fake news and ultimately don’t share such sort of bad impacting news. It is our dire responsibility to share authentic news that have been issued by any legit authority. If we continue to spread such news, bitcoins would be affected.

a few country (japan, israel?) already legalized bitcoin as payment and taxing it, some still under progress because using bitcoin as payment is not easy considering local bank and national exchange rate may unstable from it. many country especially 3rd world country still thinking whether they should accept bitcoin existential or just deny it, because there is still many problems aside crypto which may trivial. and in point warren buffet speaking, i know he have experience in his life about business and other, but still, people hoping is not bad right  Wink with bitcoin poor people who don't have a job can make money and investor have easy time investing his assets in cryptoworld. all and all, bitcoin is good for all of us, and always will.

Most countries did not clearly define the legality of bitcoin, preferring instead to take a wait-and-see attitude. Some countries indirectly agreed to the legal use of bitcoins, having established some oversight. Bitcoin was not proclaimed in any country as a substitute for the legal tender of the state.

yes, this is true and there are more countries that will accept bitcoin too so I don't think that no country has approved bitcoin. maybe they still learn bitcoin so they can decide to approve or deny bitcoin. but in the future, I guess that many countries that will approve bitcoin and maybe bitcoin will be a new currency that will use by all countries.

Don't underestimate the power of bitcoin and do a research first before you conclude that no country has approved bitcoin. Because there are countries and take note that powerful countries are considering bitcoin as legal. to give you some are:
1. Some part of the United States consider bitcoin as legal.
2. Bitcoin is legal in Canada
3. Australia is also considering it as non harmful way of investment and they are not banning it.
4. It is also legal in most part of Europe like in Belguim, Cyprus, UK, Switzerland, Italy, Netherlands and France.
5. Singapore in also on the list
6. Dont forget Japan which expressively into bitcoin
7. And last is Israel.

For you to learn more of these, please check this link - https://atozforex.com/news/top-countries-where-bitcoin-is-legal/

Do not expect a Government approval of bitcoin. It is a giving away of control. However, they cannot kill bitcoin. More so the blockchain, the technology on which bitcoin runs is very valuable. So the Government is some what in a fix.

I think the administration is a genuine boundary to the advancement of bitcoin and digital currency. The cryptographic money advertise is confronting genuine difficulties from governments in late nations, for example, China, Japan, Korea and India. It appears to make a rush of restriction thusly. I figure the circumstance of digital money will be troublesome in the coming time.

That is not a small change, bitcoin is going to change the whole payment system, therefore i think that it will take a lot of time, in fact some countries like Japan and Philippine has already accepted bitcoin as legal currency and other countries are going to follow them, therefore i think still it is a good progress of bitcoin and now as bitcoin popularity is increasing too much therefore we can hope that very soon other countries will also start accepting bitcoin.

I think you don’t have enough knowledge in this domain. Brother Bitcoins are now being used as legal currency in Japan, China and Singapore and few other countries. So this isn’t right information about bitcoins that they aren’t legalized. Rather they are, but definitely majority of the countries are still banning them even knowing who beautiful they are for the economic growth.

I am completely disagree with the statement that no country has still approved bitcoin because there are, I guess,  8 countries who has legalized cryptocurrency in their nation and people there are using cryptocurrency for their daily basis transactions. Though cryptocurrencies are being in rumors and now people are hesitating in investing into BTC but it doesn't mean that it will end up very badly because it has a very bright future ahead.

While Bitcoin might not be explicitly been approved by any country, it might be that implicitly no country can openly approved it yet it policies of not resisting it or banning it is more or less like endorsing it. I think in the near future we might have Central banks and other developed economies keeping their reserve in Bitcoin or cryptocurrencies, hence approving it.

there are lot of country accept or approve bitcoin already. saying bitcoin will end badly is very wrong or fake news, 2018 will be a good time for selling coin but bitcoin will never die. bitcoin has lot of potential in terms of demand and its use, thats why people going to buy more coin this year. hoping that the price will increase rapidly again this year.

Many people associate bitcoin with illegal and covert activity and selling of forbidden products such as drugs, that’s why authorities don’t hurry to legalize bitcoin or any other crypto.

Bitcoin was launched in 2007. It's 10 years and still no country has approved Bitcoin ??   Huh

and in 2018, 2nd richest man "Warren Buffet" said "bitcoin will end up badly"
I am completely disagree with the statement that no country has still approved bitcoin because there are, I guess,  8 countries who has legalized cryptocurrency in their nation and people there are using cryptocurrency for their daily basis transactions. Though cryptocurrencies are being in rumors and now people are hesitating in investing into BTC but it doesn't mean that it will end up very badly because it has a very bright future ahead.

Actually the countries which you talking about has not given the official legal tender declaration for the BTC but its just that they are not accepting the risk on their financial institutes/banks etc. The individual will be responsible for the whole scenario if something goes wrong! You can use it, you buy and sell in those countries but if you got scammed and ruined with your investment then they are nor responsible for that. However, a legalisation process would be something like Japan, the only country which is giving the legal recognition to the BTC and hence they can use it with merchandise as well as with personal purpose. Legalisation would be something that will include the proper amendments into the finance law etc.

I may be a little tired of hearing about Bitcoin. It will end, they always say Bitcoin will end, I always believe it will only start, and it may take a long time not just 10 years, and all will be answered when Bitcoin will continue to grow and they will regret.

When Bitcoin went $1 to $400, it looked OK.

But $10,000 is lots of money and now Bitcoin is the "hunted man"

In my country, lawmakers once considered banning bitcoin but after some debate, they decides to let it be,that means it's quite legal in Nigeria, nobody would ever arrest you for trading bitcoin or owning it.

I think I'm not wrong. The first block of Bitcoin was in 2009, and now Bitcoin's life is not yet 10 years.
Bitcoin does not require the approval of any country. It does not require Warren Buffett's approval. This may be one of the most overlooked aspects of Bitcoin.
The state can recognize the legal status of Bitcoin. This is a good thing for Bitcoin. The state does not recognize it or it is a bad thing.

I think a history lesson is in order. As it stands most would agree that the U.S. dollar is the closest thing to a recognized world currency but surely you realize this did not happen overnight. In the late 1700's the United States began minting silver and gold coins (at the time no one could imagine a currency that was not silver or gold). By the 1860's they implemented paper money backed by gold and silver. Well into the 1900's they became a world currency and in the 1970's were no longer backed by gold. If you are expecting change to arrive in 10 years you best think your grandchildren and great grandchildren. We would all like it to happen sooner and maybe it will to some degree but 10 years is nothing in terms of changing the world.

Besides there is no necessity or urgency for bitcoin can be legelize by all countries. although without legalization even bitcoin can still be used freely but for me the possibility to be legalized is wide open because the government does not want to see bitcoin as a threat, they will think to cooperate with bitcoin. prohibition will not apply to bitcoin so stop to talk about bitcoin will end, it is legalization that may happen in the future, yeah this takes much time

It's been already nine (9) year since bitcoin existed if we count from to 2009 up to this present year 2018 and there is still another one year to go in order to call it ten.  So I guess all countries that refuses to legalize bitcoin are still have a time in order to changed their minds and to decide if weather they accept bitcoin or not. You know majority of the country are still supports the use of bitcoin,  therefor theres really nothing to worry about it.

In Japan bitcoin is legal, and the government encourages people to use BTC.

Israel's tax authorities have defined the BTC as an asset and start levying taxes!

This shows that BTC is legal, and BTC is full of opportunities in 2018!

here also in philippines the bitcoin was legal and that information was from our president rodrigo duterte. cause our president knows that many filipinos was in bitcoin management. its pretty cool our president was cause he knew that theres a lot of opportunities was given by bitcoin.

Are you sure you did your research well before making post to this thread,  we have over five countries that already see bitcoin as legal,  Some of them are Russia,  japan,  etc you can always make use of google to gather information before making the post here.  I tell you that even before the end of the year 2020 , so many countries would have declared bitcoin as a legal means of exchange.

I think you need to get your facts right. Japan has already made Bitcoin legal and there are so many other countries who are very friendly towards bitcoin. Even European countries are supporting Bitcoin big time and other countries like Canada, Australia already consider bitcoin as an asset and tax it. It will take time for other countries to regulate bitcoin because it is still a very new concept for majority of the countries and a lot of amendments have to take place. Such procedures usually take a lot of time. You should head over to wikipedia to see which countries consider bitcoin as legal.

After 10 years when Bitcoin price has increased from under 1$ to more than 10k$, people are becoming pay attention to Bitcoin cause of the high price and it's an easy way to earn money. But to legalize Bitcoin it's not easy as you guys think, there are a lot of problems need to be solved before Bitcoin legalized in any country.

that is right and now many people are chasing bitcoin for many purposes and they believe that bitcoin can help them to make more money. in this 10 years after bitcoin created, only a few countries that approved bitcoin as a new thing that will help people to make money but the other country still don't give a statement about the approval. but soon, after bitcoin price increase higher, each of the government will try to learn more about bitcoin and I think they are started from the last year to study about bitcoin.

Many countries are still afraid to legalize bitcoin and I think the main reason behind is that bitcoin transactions are encrypted and while they can be tracked by involved parties, bitcoin provides a way to keep money and transactions away from the prying eye of the regulators.

Warren Buffet just wanted to stir up the market and cause panic so that bitcoin holders will sell their bitcoin and Buffet can buy more bitcoins at a very low and cheap value. It is just their strategy, they will appear as if they have no trust to bitcoin but eventually in the end they are just waiting for an opportunity to buy at a lower price.

Because bitcoin cant go up to reach its goal for 10 short years. The aim of having decentralized currency will have a long-long run. And 10 years was not enough but we hope that the next 10 years will be a great years for bitcoin.

the spirit of bitcoin is decentralized , and the government is a product of centralization . the two are contradictory . bitcoin builds on people's consensus , as long ao people are willing to use it . it will always exist .

10 years is not so much to bitcoin. The average person still doesn't know anything about bitcoin or the blockchain because bitcoin just started gaining popularity. Since only a year ago, he began to appear in the media after his big growth. This is only the beginning. And on account of the statements of rich people can't pay attention. One says one thing another says another.

The existence of Bitcoin is a threat to the centralization of the government. Those conservative governments will not like Bitcoin. The Japanese government has bravely tried to open the door to embrace Bitcoin. I believe that they will get rich after many years. Those conservative countries will eventually be defeated by the trend of decentralization.

Blockchain and cryptocurrency technology can be very beneficial to the global economy, as evidenced from Japan, who have seen cryptocurrency adaption reach its peak in 2017 but many countries have taken the drastic step of banning Bitcoins because Bitcoin is a decentralized currency, meaning that no one controls, they don't like it.

some countries do legalized bitcoin like japan and israel
one of japan's company even uses bitcoin as one of their way of paying their employees
imagine this is just ten years, of course the government will thoroughly examine and research about it
government aims to prosper its country after all, so they do have to plan carefuly

The point that matters to me is making money. Ten years from now, if I am making money, what other countries are saying is not in my grasp.

Dear friends, I have been focusing on a great ICO project recently and deserve your attention. The most promising free money item in 2018 - Marinecoin. You can follow the official website and get guidance. As long as you work step by step, you will be able to reach 20.000 MTC. If you are busy, you can buy MTC directly from our great exchange.I think you should sign Marinecoins. If the project is successful, it can help you with even 100 dollars in money. Some of you may know because it started to develop in 2013. This project is a machine for machine payment networks. Their goal is to create a blockchain that is five times faster than Bitcoin. One of the things that made me think this is the best,  just do some tasks for them and you can get your token.Have you ever heard of seacoin? It has been developed since 2013 and remains one of the most promising projects. You just need to register to get 20.000 tokens for free. This is an interesting project and will grow strongly. You can double your money, maybe x10. I really like the trading speed of seacoin. Their goal is to create a blockchain that is five times faster than Bitcoin. Please join us to get free tokensIn my opinion, there are a lot of ICOs that need to invest, but after a long day of research, I discovered seacoins. I registered and received 20.000 free and still is. Why didn’t you get your own free tag today? The application only took you a few minutes and then you will become a participant in the community. Join Now Be the First to Get a Free Cointime dilution technologyLet’s take a look at three features of Marinecoin: - Fast blockchain. Marinecoin normal blockchain is five times faster than Bitcoin. In the busy time, Marinecoin. Running speed can be increased by 100 times. - Low cost Many other blockchains When the network load brings a lot of trouble to their users, the transfer fee will increase dramatically. The Marinecoin fast network is almost zero cost and instantly confirmed. This is a guarantee for the customer, allowing the user to feel comfortable using the money transfer funds. - Anti-stress network. As a beginner, we often encounter many free coin items, but there are not many real projects. I recently encountered a very good project: Marinecoin - Internet of Things (IoT) in Artificial Intelligence (AI) Payment System It is fast and transaction costs are low. Its characteristics are very prominent. No matter how large the system is, MARINECOIN is a safe and reliable environmental protection system. The entire verification system consumes only one light energy. We are now advocating environmental protection, so this project has great potential. If you are interested, you can visit our official website: https://marineco.in/

Yeah a bad trip for bitcoin, especially in this earlier year where bitcoin down due to many negative issues that hit. Besides it there are still many countries who refused the existence of bitcoin because they afraid bitcoin can disturb the stability of their legal currency. There is no clear regulation make bitcoin is quite worrying for investors, that's why many investors refrain themselves from investing in bitcoins because they fear about bitcoin future. All we can do now is just wish that bitcoin can quickly rise from adversity and investors can open their eyes that bitcoin is a promising investment even though there are no clear regulation yet.

Are you well ware of it? So far as I know you are not right. I thinks all of us know about Japan & Israel. They approve BTC. Beside this there are many countries the not banned nor legalized. So this message is not true.

Now Bitcoin is $7,000. People will buy Gold and Silver. Bitcoin was different in 2012.
