That is the main problem of many people. They put some money in and get 2x-5x back. Then they only see money and become greedy. They invest more at the wrong time and dont understand how this loss came about.
Guys never forget where you are and never invest more than you have.

Right now I would say that you should hold and wait, or sell and take it as a lesson.

Bitcoin mining is now a specialized and very risky industry, just like gold mining. Amateur miners are unlikely to make much money, and may even lose money. Bitcoin is much more than just mining, though!

So I basically got fomoed. Towards the end of 2017 I saw how high bitcoin skyrocketed and decided to invest in ripple as a test. Less than one week it went up 3x. This made me more ballsy and I put in 11k total in various other alt coins like ripple, ethos, tron, and cardano. After the crash I lost about half of my value just like that. I am frustrated with the experience and wish I would have just put in 1k or something. I wish I could just not invested and went into what I was doing earlier which was just investing the boring and traditional way. Should I wait and hodl or pull out and do something else?

you did already 1 mistake of buying in FOMO and that too at all time high .
now dont do mistake of panic sell in all time low prices .

hold it till 1-2 year max , and you will be in good profit . after getting profit dont do 1 more mistake of holding it more bcoz market will pump and dump like this in future too .

you have to do is only hold until the price increases again, because I'm sure all altcoin prices will increase again as at the end of December 2017.
never sell anything you buy if it is below market price, I strongly advise you to sell it back when you already get enough profit. hold is the best choice

You get FOMO i think. If you don't know how to trade then you need to hodl for a dear life. You must be very careful on trading coz it might lose your money if you will not doing your best shot! better hodl whatever the price would be.

If you believe that your coin/token is good, better hold it. All investor in crypto must be have your experience. Market in crypto is very high risk and i do have same experience with you and i still hold it because i am believe market will recover again

You show the patience you need to get back what you lost. Did you lose by buying and selling? If you have waited and lost, you must continue to wait to win again. I hope the positive news about the crypto money is all true.

It seems you are too lustful. If your coin has tripled then sell it and leave the coin because it has gone up high.
Then look for another coin that is still low, that's the way it should be.
Do not hold the coin too long, though you believe in the project because altcoin reacts to Bitcoin. So if Bitcoin is unstable, you should sell it because the altcoin market will collapse.

I think the coins which you have invested in are good coins, except ripple, and in my opinion you might save your money by holding. I think this term is temporary and these coins are promising.

I should have just went with bitcoin or ethereum. Cause if they go up then the other alt coins go up. They are the leaders of the pack it seems like. I will hodl since I don't want to sell at a loss. But you think they will go back up by the end of the year?

We do not lose anything until the time when we decide to get rid of the altcoins and sell them. Today, this is not the best period for selling cryptocurrency. real enthusiasts and good traders even try to buy more coins.

the advice will be to hold on to its asset, irrespective of the extent of loss. if he is watching the market from the time he started the thread he should have seen some surge in price now. The loss is due to lack of knowledge in trade, you dont buy when the price is high but when it dumps. There will always be a correction in price then wait till the correction takes place and put your money.

The best thing to do is just hold your coin because  the price might still grow up and do not do the same thing like other traders who are very nervous and panicking so they end up selling their coins at the lowest price and that's the time they lost most of their investment.

If you sell at loss you would regret when the market fully recovers.

When we already lost a half of the value, hodl will be only good thing to do or even buy more while cheap if we still have some money to spend.

hopefully consider it a lesson learned in jumping too soon. look at the general trend of where things are going. you will get back to where you invested. if you get jumpy again and try to cut your losses it'll probably just then immediately rebound.

As you can see, to get with the fraud and loss of cryptocurrency is very easy, so modern investors must be very meticulous in their acquisition. And it is important not only what you will buy, but also where the operation will happen with digital money. We offer a selection of rules that reduce risk, but of course, to ensure their funds are 100% impossible.
- Carefully study the cryptocurrency, which will be traded. Scout the whole story, technical aspects of its existence and views from other users.
- Diversification means between multiple exchanges, not using the services of just one of them. It is desirable to have in your arsenal of at least three trading platforms.
- Do not chase megaprofitom and do not buy very much junk coins in the hope that they used to be "shot". It is very likely that this will never happen.
- If you're new to kriptoinvestitsiyah, it should not be your entire bank to start in a new deal for you. Do not give in to the old sources of income and add cryptocurrency in the portfolio as a pilot investment tool. Furthermore, if the investment income will be, the share of money allocated to the basement can be increased.

Cryptocurrency for many seems an easy way to earn money and, unfortunately, like a magnet, attracts all sorts of scams. Be wary, invest wisely and wisely, and you succeed to not get their selfish bait.
