What kind of altcoins you are holding?  If that is ethereum the next question is how much was the price when you get that and if it came from 1k I think you can take the risk of selling it when it hits to 600$ and then wait the another crash and buy lower until you recover your lost or you can leave it into another crypto, or the last one is just hold it until you can reach the price you want but if you are holding an unsure one you better find another one.

I prepare to HOLD and be patient to wait for the market recovery as the price can rise 50% higher if we have a good rally. Also, you can sell those altcoins and buy back later once it goes lower than your selling price. The price is unpredictable you need to have options if you don't want to hold it longer while in downfall situation.

it depends on you, if you have done an analysis of the coins you have and according to you the coin will be difficult to recover and it will decrease, you can sell it to cut the losses and invest it into another potentially coin. But, if you think the coins you have only a slight spike and will recover, holding it is best. So do what you think is right to do.
