Ok I am going to give this a try...... I have listed coins that I have on the list in the poll you can vote for one. Keep in mind I will use feedback in the thread to decide if a coin really should make it regardless of votes. I will also delete any non productive messages in the thread to attempt to make this productive. I may not attempt to evaluate coins this way in the future. Feedback posts I am interested in current network hashrate and reliability of the wallet network etc. I am interested in the premine or any other shenanigans involved with the coin. If your post says simply shit coin Ill delete it if it says shit coin and this is why your good, but use facts that I can use to validate votes and credibility of the coin. Why isnt your coin in the list? Its 100% premined. It doesn't have a known github are two big reasons. Things not to put....- "I want my coin its not in this list!" I will delete these
- "I hate new coins!" I will delete these
- "Whats the weather going to be tomorrow?" I don't know
- "Why isn't shitcoin in the list?" Refer to bullet #1
Edited: Changed it to vote for one coin.

Transactions must be included in a block to be properly completed. When you send a transaction, it is broadcast to miners. Miners can then optionally include it in their next blocks. Miners will be more inclined to include your transaction if it has a higher transaction fee.

Haha Shitcoin I left off....... I would like more feedback on these votes Hashrates would be a good start. Well, ShitCoin had quite a lot of hashing power for a coin that has been out for like a week. It was definitely over 40 GH/s. But there was a hard fork and the new client isn't updated yet, so it get's stuck while syncing on block 17999. You can still mine, no problem, but your Wallet Balance will appear negative or incorrect The pool I mine JouleCoin on currently has more then 43 Ghash/s: http://xjo.coinmine.pl/index.php?page=statistics&action=pool

Though the thread says its a scam what about it is a scam. All I see is that its a copy coin with some changed parameters which pretty much is many coins..... Need more than accusations need facts to get it removed from consideration.

Any chance for I0Coin? Its current hashrate is about 138TH/s since it's merged mined with bitcoin. I bet it's the highest for coins not listed in cryptsy!

Kingcoin is nothing short of a scam I mined for almost the first 24 hours so getting it listed will be good for me, but I feel compelled to warn others.
1> Kingcoin was launched by a shill account, possibly Kalimankudenku. That guy also has a scam accusation thread against him. 2> It was launched with supposedly unique algo which makes it CPU only. A cpuminer was also bundled with the package, but without a source code. 3>After some 14-15 hours the source of the cpuminer was realeased and after that gpuminers popped up. Apparently the ybcminer worked fine. 4>I tried the ybc miner with the relevant settings (details were posted in the thread by helpful posters) and within half an hour mined a block. After that I turned it off.
It looks like the developer released the coin as cpu only without cpuminer source so that he can keep on mining with gpus at the start when difficulty was low and rewards were high.

I thought this was for whether cryptsy should have it's own coin anyway, is that blake thing still minable with an i5? coz that diff look outray. I've been finding a couple a day with my three AMD FX-8350s. I found that the CPUminer works much better than the one built into the client. Also, I'm purposely using 256 threads on my 8 core cpus with the "-t 256" argument in the cpuminer. I do not know why but it seems to give me higher khashes/s. Right now I'm consistently over 12000kH/s. The difficulty has dropped some. It seems to adjust according to the hashing power of the network. The current difficulty is:  { "blocks" : 4189, "currentblocksize" : 1000, "currentblocktx" : 0, "difficulty" : 61748.28207893, "errors" : "", "generate" : false, "genproclimit" : -1, "hashespersec" : 0, "pooledtx" : 0, "testnet" : false }

Any chance for I0Coin? Its current hashrate is about 138TH/s since it's merged mined with bitcoin. I bet it's the highest for coins not listed in cryptsy! I agree, I0coin has a very powerfull network and allmost 1000000 blocks created. Why list a new coin that hasn't proven himself while I0coin still exists because people are dedicated to it. I prefer to trade a coin with a network of 138TH/s instead of 58MH/s

JouleCoin or ShitCoin (but that one isn't listed, so I voted for JouleCoin).
You can still mine, no problem, but your Wallet Balance will appear negative or incorrect The pool I mine JouleCoin on currently has more then 43 Ghash/s: http://xjo.coinmine.pl/index.php?page=statistics&action=poolBut it's name .....

I'm in favor of more sha256 coins represented. JouleCoin got my vote, but I almost went with BountyCoin (not even sure it was on the list).
More sha256, please!
Joulecoin, TekCoin and IncaKoin are not represented by any exchange at the moment. You could take advantage of the bounties as well as being the first to list.
ASC and ZET are both on coinex.

Where is the vote option for Cryptsy already has too many shit coins and doesn't need more of them. Yes, none of the coins on the poll are worthwhile.

I don't see extremecoin.
Also, please don't list any more coins, unless the coin really has good support....
I am thinking the market has past reached the saturation point for altcoins.
Being listed on the exchange should give value added and developers some incentive to maintain these coins, but at some point with too many coins, that value added gets diluted.

Any chance for I0Coin? Its current hashrate is about 138TH/s since it's merged mined with bitcoin. I bet it's the highest for coins not listed in cryptsy! I agree, I0coin has a very powerfull network and allmost 1000000 blocks created. Why list a new coin that hasn't proven himself while I0coin still exists because people are dedicated to it. I prefer to trade a coin with a network of 138TH/s instead of 58MH/s My vote is for I0coin too. I know it's not on this list but maybe the next. I0coin (I0C) Benefits Zero premine 80 second block times Total mined coins will be 21,000,000 coins High network hash rate (merge mined) Already implemented a fix for memory size problems inherent with large block chains https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?PHPSESSID=8pmg1amol5m3fdao4jne4eo6d5&topic=276483.0Getmininginfo (10/16/2013 17:43:03) { "blocks" : 922922, "currentblocksize" : 0, "currentblocktx" : 0, "difficulty" : 2324832.90634019, "errors" : "", "generate" : false, "genproclimit" : -1, "hashespersec" : 0, "pooledtx" : 0, "testnet" : false }

PeopleCoin was launched on Sep 17. The aim of this project is to build a fast and safe currency that every person can keep for daily use. We dev-team do this only for interests, no premine, no cheating, no pump and bump. There are many PPL fans, but no exchange till now. Adding PeopleCoin will definitely do good to the fans, and bring benefits to Cryptsy. Thank you for your support.

Please add CYB and Valuecoin and Richcoin.

I voted for CYB. Why ? First off because i got a few of them.. why ? because it was already listed on the LiteBonk forum coin candidates page. (was in no. 5 position for ages) And after that i did some quick checking months ago and nothing bad jumped out at me.. such as a known bad dev (first thing i look for) Some things i like about this coin. - It been around since July and still updated and alive. (recently wallet v1.5 came out) - The name is sort of catchy (Cryptobits) - It takes this more seriously that say a StarTrek coin or an AsicCoin. - It is on the rare side with blocks being worth 2 coins each. New coins are coming whether we like it or not and when i did some digging like a month or two ago this one jumped out at me.. There is nothing revolutionary about this yet another Scrypt coin but like i just said new coins are coming ..like it or not so lol My self, i find it hard to believe it will get added to Cryptsy though because of a lack of interest with CYB. Had there been a stronger interest in this coin previously i bet it would have been added long ago.. I got a 100+ coins mining with my Nvidia card so if it goes up on Cryptsy i won't be getting rich. So yeah that is my vote and some reasoning behind it

arrrggg more coins, isnt 75 coins enough! seriously watering down more coins with something like ASC, everytime a coin is added with simply with a new name or slight change a real innovative coin looses market share. Im starting to think its become more of a coin laundry-matte than an exchange. Add a coin every 3 months not 3 weeks!

Well, most new coin are a little different in some ways. Its good to have them in the market to compete right?

Blakecoin uses a slightly-modified version of the SHA3-semifinalist blake algorithm for both hasing and network security. It currently has a CPU miner, GPU miner, and an FPGA miner. The algorithm is quicker to run than SHA256, and has a good community behind it. It is a bit over two weeks old, and has developed quite quickly with a dedicated developer behind it.

Is my assumption right, that possibly more than just one coin could get on the market?

The ShitPile is getting high.
No list would be complete without ShitCoin on it.
Get I get some votes? lol.
But seriously, one of the most popular and biggest hash rates has been COL. Why is that not even on the list.
Can we add that please. It's been around a while and the issue they had with the client has been fixed.
Thanks!

Maybe this is a bit off topic, but I'd actually like to see a fourth market on Cryptsy. Right now there's three: BTC, LTC and XPM, all of which are POW type crypto coins. I have no way to know what the future will actually hold, but my gut tells me that the POS energy saving idea has merit and therefore I would like to see a PPC market. My guess is that someday in the not-to-distant future PPC will overtake LTC as the primary alternative to BTC (again these are just thoughts from someone lacking any expertise). I wouldn't even be totally shock if in the more distant future PPC becomes a serious competitor to BTC. But I may be totally wrong on all these thoughts.
Anyway, as a now shareholder in Cryptsy, I would be interested in trading on a PPC market.

I prefer to trade a coin with a network of 138TH/s instead of 58MH/s My vote is for I0coin too. I know it's not on this list but maybe the next. I0coin (I0C) Benefits Zero premine 80 second block times Total mined coins will be 21,000,000 coins High network hash rate (merge mined) Already implemented a fix for memory size problems inherent with large block chains https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?PHPSESSID=8pmg1amol5m3fdao4jne4eo6d5&topic=276483.0Getmininginfo (10/16/2013 17:43:03) { "blocks" : 922922, "currentblocksize" : 0, "currentblocktx" : 0, "difficulty" : 2324832.90634019, "errors" : "", "generate" : false, "genproclimit" : -1, "hashespersec" : 0, "pooledtx" : 0, "testnet" : false } Jambi like i0coin. Underated and deserves to be on more exchanges.

Just as I predicted nearly 6 months ago: we're now at multiple ShitCoins per day.
And I can always say I launched my coin at the beginning, before hundreds of ShitCoins popped up.
And that was the idea when I launched NUGs without an effing clue as to what a Bitcoin or a block-what was.
Bhahahahahahaa.

How come PTS is still not on Cryptsy? It's getting even more popular then Primecoin. All Primecoin pools are offering PTS mining now and there are more Protoshares miners then Primecoin miners.

Why start a poll and then ignore the outcome?
Nothing added for over 2 weeks now, nothing to promote the exchange, nothing to promote the shares. Is Cryptsy a dead exchange now?
Or is BigVern just sitting on his hands, afraid to make a change?
The exchange is good but they lack promotional and advertising skills.

Where is doge coin?
We need to be able to trade it on a decent exchange...massive amounts are being traded every day on doges.org but there's a ton of scammers.
Then there's coinedup.com which keeps crashing because of the massive amount of doge traffic!

I saw the list and they all are useless. You need to put Dogecoin to your site because as you can see on all Alternate cryptocurrencies section everybody talk about Dogecoin. Market cap and people's interest is rising super fast every second.

Datacoin. CPU mined coin.
Why? Because its not just another copy coin with nothing. It is a coin with a purpose and an idea like only a few out there.
Its new, about 1 month but its price is really stable around 1 dollar. Its not just a pump and dump coin. It is already hosted at bter. And generally people dont really prefer chinese based exchanges....
A new pool just opened and the community is getting bigger every day. Many devs that actually try to make it better.

Cryptsy rocks!
That self-audit feature on Crypsty is great! I don't think there's another exchange that offers the user the opportunity to perform their own customer service support when their balances fall off the planet.
And that double arb feature is amazing! Cryptsy offers negative balances! So if you find a really good deal, you can buy it twice. Nobody else does that. Nobody.
Coin retention is also an incredible plus. The devs have figured out a great marketing tool to keep coins on the exchange. By consistently claiming to have delays in deposits and withdrawals, Cryptsy retains a substantial amount of the coins it somehow manages to get on the exchange. Truly revolutionary.
Way to go, Cryptsy. You stand out!
By the way, that bulk email you sent out telling everyone their accounts were frozen was inspiring and sets you apart as a genuinely professional organization.

I think that main problem with cryptsy is the fact that this stock is not adding new coin fast enough. For example earthcoin is on many other sites and it it is still not added to cryptsy...
If this problem occurs more, people will abort cryptsy.

I'm okay with that. If it gets added too quick, early miners and people collecting from all the giveaways just go in and dump. The price going up or down isn't a big deal either way. Rather, it's better for a young coin (that actually has a future, not just a pump and dump coin) to stay away from larger exchanges for a while in the beginning to keep coins in more peoples' pockets longer. That way, the coin is more visible and will have long term acceptance. All my opinion, take it or leave it.

Yeah for only those not listed. Prices are usually better at the bigger exchange.. Please add CATcoin. It's already on Coinedup + Coinex.pw. And -- unline Earthcoin -- was NOT premined.

Add Bernankoin and save economy! Bernankoin is the first coin based around sane economics principles. It is based on the publications of Nobel Prize Winning economists. To put it in simple words for those of you who never attended College Economics Classes, Bitcoin is inherently flawed because of deflation and deflation is bad mkay. See, when people "mine" coins, it means they need them. And yet, more people "mining" result in less coins! It's nonsense. So with Bernankoin the Block Reward is actually determined by how much people want coins. It's also not "mining" anymore, which is a silly goldbug term, but printing, which is the way Ben Bernanke saved our economy. That innovative reward system is called Quantitative Easing. That way, it also does away with any pre-"mining" concerns. A bernankoin is a BEK, and the smallest unit is called a keynes. We don't use "wallets" which are insecure and unreliable, but good old banks. http://newstowatch.com/wp-content/plugins/RSSPoster_PRO/cache/c3f81_bernanke-smiling.gi.top.jpg https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=375010.0

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=375010.0Adding BEK would be a nice experiment, I think there's a market there. The features of BEK would really help to save the cryptoeconomy.

the only Relevance NXT has is that is the Biggest Scam in Btc history, 71 people own all the coins, then give out some a couple to idiots, those idiots scream to get it on an exchange. Then those 71(only them) get rich on the dump. What part of that is not a scam.
j
you can think i am wrong that is fine, the question you should ask yourself, why are none of the Sr members here into NXT its been out for along time now. just food for thought

A long time, really, since Nov 24th, I guess that's a long time if your mind is slow. There are over 10k people with Nxt, not 71. Also, Nxt isn't in BTC history, it's a 2nd Gen currency that has nothing to do with BTC. It's easy for someone like you to scream scam on everything that isn't BTC, in fact I bet you thought BTC itself was a scam until you actually took 5 minute to do some research.

For me there are a few that needs to be added. Ofcourse EAC (Earthcoin) Second place i believe we are missing XIV (Xivra). Great news has been released lately. This is a REAL coin, not just a copy/past coin And then a few interesting ones like TIPS (FedoraCoin)/BIL (Billioncoin) and OGC (OnlineGamingCoin) If at least 3 will hit the market i will be happy

I wish there were an option to vote for performance and functionality, because that's really what Cryptsy needs.

Wish I could get my IFC out from Cryptsy.
5 days stuck in pending. 2 responses from support but they will not fix it.
They should have a post in their forums that tells which coins are a problem. Ya right! LOL. Or maybe let people have their withdrawals back? HAH!...
I checked their freshdesk forums and found dozens of people with the same problem. And not just IFC. Be warned.

OMG!! What a list, which will fail first you mean?
+1 ************************************************************** Can Nxt be added to this POLL List on this thread so we can Vote for Nxt ************************************************************** I believe it's earned it's place in this Poll. As for Nxt: I am surprised that Nxt hasn't yet made it on this list. We cannot vote for a Crypto-Coin type that is really offering break thru fundamentals, but instead only for seemingly lesser types. Why not Nxt ? I still haven't voted on this poll, I am holding out for Nxt. And I don't know anything about the other coins on this Poll's list, nor the time to search them down and learn about each and every one of them. I didn't know exactly what Nxt was all about either, but when I did find out I realized that just as soon as it's one billion supply of coins price gets much better aligned with free market demands that I too will want to purchase some, hopefully at Cryptsy. But whatever... And for a way lower price, hopefully... I haven't yet owned any Nxt, but I will, most likely, before 2014 is done. Just not at their current price range, unless it's clear that Nxt has moved forward quite a ways. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- This article at the link summarizes Nxt quite well, if it's to be believed. I was stunned to learn so much about Nxt and all it offers: NXT Official Launch NXT Generation of Cryptocurrency Begins Now Posted on January 3, 2014 by CryptoMaster http://cryptosource.org/nxt-official-launch--nxt-generation-of-cryptocurrency-begins-now/ http://cryptosource.org/--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- As for the Coin Types on this Threads Poll. =========================== I just don't have the time to research every new coins fundamentals, nor what they may offer that none yet offer. Maybe someone should start a thread to summarize the all new coins since late 2013 and what they offer this Decentralized Crypto-Currency Revolution. That would be a great thing. The Original Crypto list tread is around, but I haven't seen it lately, and don't know if it's been updated, and of course revised to more summarize what each coins fundamentals are. Something like the Summary Table at the end of this article is what I am referring to, but hopefully with much more specific details about each coin type: http://bitcoinmagazine.com/9000/overview-altcoin-market/Caveat emptor - let the buyer beware!

BitJohn,
If you are wondering where the trade volume has been outside of cryptsy, EAC most recently, up and coming MONA, theirs some interest in several questionable copyright infringement coins.
But honestly I don't advocate you add new coins at the moment, anyone and their brother that ever took CSIII is copypasta'ing barely edited copys of whatever that last coin was released, then dumping the resulting abomination, leaving most unsupported after a couple of weeks. I honestly think you should cull the least productive markets by 20% or so, to maintain some semblance of standards.

WRONG! This is pure nonsensical drivel. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- For instance: ======== A very small list of the top 100 bitcoin owners hold a huge amount of bitcoins. drumroll... http://bitcoinrichlist.com/top100 Bitcoin started out merely in the hands of a tiny few, then more, and later then more, but still relatively in few hands. Satoshi it's claimed owns up to 8% of all bitcoins ever mined. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AWtNeaZxT54The Well Deserved Fortune of Satoshi Nakamoto, Bitcoin creator, Visionary and Genius | bitslog http://bitslog.wordpress.com/2013/04/17/the-well-deserved-fortune-of-satoshi-nakamoto/==================================================================== References: (something all these FUD posts forget to include with their outrageous slams and slights) ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- http://motherboard.vice.com/blog/bitcoin-mints-its-first-billionaire-satoshi-nakamotohttp://bitslog.wordpress.com/2013/04/24/satoshi-s-fortune-a-more-accurate-figure/http://bitslog.wordpress.com/2013/04/17/the-well-deserved-fortune-of-satoshi-nakamoto/--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- So are we to believe Bitcoin is a scam based on this? NO. It's called Free Market Capitalism. REAL Free Market Capitalism. DECENTRALIZED. And WE LOVE IT. It sure beats Centralized Monetary and Fiscal Control by Our Banksters!!! --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- It's the same for every Pow and PoW/PoS hybrid mined coin. ====================================== First a select few miners own them. Then their traded to others, and them many more own them. The only thing different about Nxt being created is how it started, but it ended up being anything but a scam. Instead Nxt is a Masterpiece. Those that bought into Nxt have received what they were offered. That's no scam. And neither is Nxt. Nxt is a Masterpiece. See my prior post for the Article on Nxt. OR SEE this link: http://cryptosource.org/nxt-official-launch--nxt-generation-of-cryptocurrency-begins-now/ Disclaimer: I don't yet own any Nxt, never have, it's too pricy in my opinion at this point. I am still dickering over the price until Nxt moves along further, or gets much less pricey for it's 1 Billion supply of coin. But hey, that's just my opinion. And yes everyone is entitled to their own opinions but these slam and slight FUD posts point out glaringly why Decentralized Monetary Currencies are absolutely required if we as a species are ever to become truly civilized. I rest my case. And I wont engage in arguments. Read the article at the link above about Nxt, if one does that and if that article is accurate then I believe Nxt is a Winner if it's successfully marketed and implemented. One of many types of Crypto's that will ultimately be successful. Because with 7+ billion souls on-board in around 200 countries there is plenty of need for a larger variety of crypto-currency types. At least that is my own opinion. Your's may be different. As for these slam and slight FUD posts. WRONG. So wrong. Their acting and behaving just like our Masters (The Banksters, and Our Ruling Class). Or their merely talking about things which they don't really understand at all. BTW: That's what makes real marketplaces (differences of Opinions). Caveat emptor - let the buyer beware!

Microcoin Scam No Way man! Look at microcoin carefully! That coin has the fairest launch you have never seen.. Rewards start with 0.001/block to rise the diff super high until 10000 blocks. Then rewards slowly rise with block number. So early miner / inst-miner actually got very little. The miners who join now still got fair amount rewards. nFactor makes GPU slower and slower so CPU miner can catch up and joining in later. Very smart dev, very smart coin design. why you said its a scam??!!

Why not microCoin listed to vote? It's only "serious" coin for a while. Fair launch, spread coins for all miners, not just for first instaminers as many other coins do. Actually best mining period is still coming.

I think the best thing to do is divide the coins into categories... Like 3 major categories first: BTC Family LTC Family QRK Family
Then ask this: Do the exchange fairly or equally represent a good cross section of each family?
If you take this approach you will notice right away that the QRK family is under-represented... Coins Like DIME, C-Note, FZ, Atom which have heavy Chinese interest don't show up much on the American exchanges... If the family is well represented it will create a better crypto-experience for everyone....

Kind of pointless poll. People surely want to vote for more than one coin.
My votes are going for: microcoin [MRC] YaCoin [YAC] ZcCoin [ZCC]

well the list started back in October so that's why there aren't any of the newer coins on there. I'd vote for MicroCoin (µ) ,and NXT if it were there, but looks like the poll needs updated.

Particle (PRT) - You don't have many cpu coins listed and this is a good one, look in its announce thread...probably the most posts by a Dev on a day to day basis than any other...real deal.
MicroCoin (MRC) - Scrypt Jane. Unique block reward ramp up and ramp down.

I would really like to see MemoryCoin added to Cryptsy. It a be mined by so many more people with normal computers. It has solid value and it donates to charities.

microCoin ofcourse should added. Fair, no insta/premine and it's scrypt asic resist. But if you waiting they pay something to get this coin on your market, you waist your time. It is truly fair coin without ANY instamine and they will get markets anyway. It will be popular and gives you too well profits on that way. microCoin should definitely be added.
This coin is ASIC proof (n-Factor), multipool proof, a perfect and fair launch and has a proper crypto-currency marketing name to make it last (better than Verts in my opinion)
This coin will sit alongside Bitcoin and Litecoin in the future, only a matter of time!

I would really like to see Huntercoin (HUC) on Cryptsy. It is human mine-able via a game played within the blockchain. It's really exciting because it allows people without mining rigs to mine coins. It is something completely new and innovative. http://www.huntercoin.orghttps://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=435170.0

I am pulling for Marscoin (MRS) to get added to this list. The coin is based on LTC and was publicly launched mid January. Only 600k coins were premined, 400k of which were donated to MarsOne to support the mission to mars!
It is currently trading on Cryptorush.in There is a thread on cryptsy to get it added. You can read more on marscoin.org!
Best use case of a "Coin for a Cause" that I've seen so far. Worth a look.

I know it's an old thread, but just wanted to let you know that MemoryCoin has more volume than LOT, CGB, 42, EAC, TAG, TIPS, ZET, NVC and 100 more coins... Bter are having fun with trading fees alone You should really consider adding MMC. A lot of interest and (inside tip) MMC is going to get even more interest very soon...

Zeus Coin 100% So much potential with this coin!
I agree. This coin had immense potential at launch but the cheesy website and lack of any basic services really set it back. Now we have all of the services but we're in that weird phase where nobody will mine it because it's not on an exchange and no exchange will add it because nobody's mining it! Purgatory... There are still a lot of holders of this coin and it would take off if it was listed.

+1 Darkcoin
Who assembled this list and why did they do it? I have seen almost none of these coins on any exchange or on the forum. I think there are maybe 1 or 2 that I have heard about briefly once. You know what this looks like? It is as if the admins on Cryptsy have been mining the shittiest coins they could possibly find that have no new tech or community at all, and now they are trying to ask us which new one to add so they can all cash out. Seriously, Cryptsy, go do some research and find out about DRK/XIV/SMC. You guys are giving us THE WORST possible choices, and I don't want anything to do with anything on that entire fucking shitlist of coins that you have mined already, ever.
