BTC long term forecast

It became painfully obvious that BTC will completely follow the classic "market cycle" that we voted yesterday. The only difference is that 2001 dotcom bubble was really slow and took 2-3 years to recover. Now with the dynamic markets the recovery might start as fast as autum 2018 (very optimistic) or spring 2019 if the banks keep pushing negativity.

Here is how our updated forecast looks like so far (based purely on market cycles)

1. Optimistic 70% chance before fast recovery we'll get for a new lower low at 4000-5000 range during the next weeks then a quick bull trap will push it back up to 7000-8000 that is when you want to sell off and prepare for a long low period. Possible trade is to wait for a dip at 4000-5000 range and sell off on the bull trap. After that you can short into a new final dip around 2800-3500 zone in August, after which a final slow recovery will start.


2. Pessimistic 20% chance  if there is no quick dip and the price drop continues very slowly, it will lead to 1250-2000 pessimistic range, which may flat there for a few months until a slow recovery starts that may take over 1 year.

What I am saying it's better to drop quickly and recover rather than "slow death" that will take too much time to recover! Imagine you are entering cold water ocean for a swim? It's always better to just DO IT and dive instead of painfully getting into it very slow. Same logic here.

3. Optional plan 3 - there is no bulltrap and recovery starts mid-summer. I dont like this plan as it may give you false hopes. I don't think with the current negative background it will be possible - where will the hype come from?

So my opinion, the speculations about price under 1000 usd are same BS like the speculation about the price over $100,000 back in December. Realistically it won't fall lower than 3500 even during the second dip, as the truth is always somewhere "in between".

Thank you for that advice it is quite helpful to all newbie investors. Keep on holding your precious coins and don't do what others are doing which is panic selling. Those who panic sell just to cut their loss will eventually regret their decision once the price goes back up again. Things like this have happened before and it is quite normal.
