Oddly enough, ixCoin drops when Bitcoin drops and goes up when Bitcoin goes up.  Few exceptions.
Manipulation, not natural flow of market.

Even in the event that an attacker gains more than 50% of the network's computational power, only transactions sent by the attacker could be reversed or double-spent. The network would not be destroyed.

You really think someone is manipulating ixCoin? Who and why?  There's nearly zero interest in that coin.  There's more to it than meets the eye.

How should I know who and why.
Someone and for a reason. You never know what is happening in the background.

That's true and I think I saw it get manipulated on the way down 2 weeks ago when it dropped 70% in a single week after Bitcoin had stabilized at around $220.

It was like a delayed reaction which was odd.  I think ixCoin is being manipulated too but it's hard to tell cause it doesn't seem like anyone has any interest in it.

LTC will continue to stagnate while BTC continues it's glorious ascension to $1000.

You LTC bagholders have been warned.

Stagnate would be nice.

But judging by history, as Bitcoin runs to $1,000, Litecoin will run towards zero. lol.

That conclusion makes no sense, we have seen BTC/LTC coexisting for a while now and their is no reason to think that can't continue indefinitely.  The only pattern I see is that their is generally a monopolization of one Algorithm under one leading coin for the simple reason that the 51% attack is most likely to originate from a mining pool itself and for the target to be another coin with the same algorithm, eventually the bigger pool will crush all the smaller ones or force them into a subordinate merge-mining position which has always resulted in a trivial valuation for the subordinated chain.

If you have a lot of money I guess it wouldn't hurt to cover your bases but look at the correlation between Bitcoin and Litecoin?

Look at guys like me who have called each selloff in Litecoin for the last few months with scary accuracy.

And then consider putting just $100 in ixCoin, the only positively correlated [to Bitcoin] crypto coin in the world.

If you have an investor mentality it should be obvious that yes.
It is not the only opportunity but one of the best in my opinion.

Impaler and I explained it earlier. The price of Bitcoin and Litecoin coexist.
When the price of BTC/USD increase, the price of LTC/USD increase too as you can see on BTC-e.
What we see right now is an unexpected very fast increase of BTC/USD thanks to the Chinese investors.
As a consequence, the BTC/USD increase faster than the LTC/USD and because of that, some trolls pretend that the Litecoin is going down (the worst trolls say it is going to zero  Roll Eyes ). The same trolls create fake account to say "Litecoin is dead". They are probably massive Litecoin investors, their goal is to lower the LTC/BTC price to buy more of it.
The LTC/BTC difference is caused by the fact that Chinese investor cannot buy directly Litecoin on their biggest exchange : BTCChina, they can only buy Bitcoin.

This is what we call an opportunity : BTCChina is planing to accept Litecoin direct buying, it is only a matter of time.
So you can expect the LTC/BTC difference to go back, before the massive Chinese Bitcoin adoption.

The creator of Litecoin is nothing less than the brother of the CEO of BTCChina.

I was very surprised to find out about the brother thing in some other thread. First thing that popped in my mind was about btcchina accepting litecoin. But that does not mean it's some kind of miraculous salvation for ltc.

There is nothing wrong with Litecoin!

Relax, folks!

These people bashing litecoin are stealthily stacking up on it, while keeping the price low for themselves by making you stay away from purchases of litecoin. Just the way business works, nothing personal Smiley

Btw, there is enough bashers of bitcoin too for the same reasons. All bashing is mostly for economic reasons, human beings are selfish, it's in our nature.

Even if it gets to $10 in Nov 2014 we'd have doubled our investments, if we grab them now.
Is litecoins in the same stage as bitcoin was 3 years ago ? Well, it wont rise that much, but still.

LTC is pretty stable @ 4USD, if that is the value of a dead coin, I think all altcoins want to be dead. Roll Eyes
