Yes, this is happening because of the crypto bad condition.  In 2017, most of the ico price dropped after listing but that was only 10%, but this year 95% of ICO Tokens price keeps falling down after getting listed on exchanges, it is because of the long run bear market.

Exactly this year condition in the market was in bad condition due to price fall if compare from last year was in ath price. So Ico these year mostly did not succeed since most crypto was in bearish trend.  Before you invest make sure you know the risks to minimize the loses.

The All time high is very close, if this goes on then 2018 should be enough to get the price beyond the ATH.

For many ICOs, 2018 is not good years for them. Many ICOs in 2018 not successfull and some of it not reaching their soft cap target. Maybe its because most coin price in market drop and it make investor wait and see

if we look at this year every ICO project lists their coins on the exchange and the price falls far below the ICO price certainly makes investors traumatized because the losses they experience are certainly very large and this is what makes many ICO projects very difficult to obtain reach its sales target.

This year is the year that is not good for the growth of crypto coins. The price of the coins in the fall and everyone is freaking out with these conditions. this is my own opinion but it may help others.

I have found that all the ICOs i have invested in have launched at almost the ICO price but in a few days dipped below the ICO prices by half or 5X for some.

With this i have discovered its better not to invest in an ICO but wait for the launch and the DIP to buy it at the corrected prices made by market forces.
Its just too hard to tell the real or recommended value of a token in an ICO these days.

no they are not the same at all, 2017 was the year i invested in ICOs and enjoyed it. but in 2018 there are so many scam projects thats scares me off investing

I think people are more conscious of 2018 ICO. The 2017 Where bought out zeal of making money quickly. Scam in 2018 were more exposed before sales starts.
