Something on GoldCoin and inflation:

https://www.gldtalk.org/index.php?topic=3528

Observations and theory show that, on average, 28% of the binding-energy in aurophilic interaction can be attributed to relativistic expansion of the gold d-orbitals.

NOTE: This subforum is slowly becoming obsolete. These notices are intended for those that continue to rely on this thread for information.

Many of you have expressed concerns about the GLD delisting notice on Bittrex. This occurred because we recently fell below the exchange's new .5 BTC daily volume requirement.

I am happy to report that thanks to the community and team, our volume has safely returned to levels that meet compliance and we anticipate the warning notice to be removed from the Goldcoin trading page on Friday of this week.

I have just received word from Bittrex that GoldCoin is safe and will NOT be delisted.

In addition, I was told their listing requirements are likely to increase in the future and they expect to see greater adoption moving forward. Bittrex has decided to differentiate itself from other exchanges by maintaining these high standards.

Soon, Bittrex will be introducing a brand new interface featuring uniform animated coin icons site-wide. You can see the new Bittrex GoldCoin icons here: http://labs.allienworks.net/icons/cryptocoins/

In an effort to provide the community with the greatest level of transparency, this week's (11.12.2016) team meeting on Skype will be simulcast live on YouTube.

MicroGuy is currently in the process of testing various encoding software and will provide a YouTube link to the channel before the meeting.

Our first live broadcast was a little rough around the edges but I'll be working all week to improve the production.

Once we get the bugs worked out we'll begin having special guests and Q&A segments each Sunday for your viewing enjoyment.

Can this coin be mined using a normal pc?

Yes. It is possible to mine Goldcoin using a PC with a dedicated GPU card. But due to the prevalence of ASIC devices, your coin production will be minimal.

Nonetheless, learning to mine with a PC can be fun and educational.

Yeah. As I see it he is a buffon. Lazy ass whose efforts to affect the discussion with soreass distempered behavior were to no avail. Clown will remain clown no matter how u look at it, and he will run wild on spammy messages despite multiple warnings he received from mods this morning.

The technical basics and community links are covered in the OP of this thread. We have weekly meetings each Sunday at 1:00 p.m. New York time that are live streamed on YouTube. In these meetings the core team discusses the current state of the currency and various ongoing projects. Community members are welcome to participate in these broadcasts.

There is a book on Amazon that covers the entire first year. Another book covering the entire history of Goldcoin is in the works. If you have any specific questions, I will be glad to provide them. Thank you!

Wow, thank you for the timely response! I really do enjoy the idea of a crypto "gold-standard". I'm not sure if I have a specific question. I assume this coin is PoW and not PoS. I guess that would be question numero uno.

Yes. This is a POW coin with a proprietary 51% attack defense system and Golden River difficulty algorithm. We have already increased our blocksize to 2MB, and because of this upgrade and our faster block times, we currently have more than 10 times the transaction capacity of the bitcoin network.

Yes, I did read into the fork that rolled out in February. I also traded whatever LTC I had for GLD. Will hopefully soon create more trades with whatever else I can scrape together, haha.
