what I do not get is why is the price increasing so much per GH/s. The price is highly inflated and is what made me cash out from cex.io with a slight loss

Cashed out too. Playing with a small amount still but it's just all over the place with no predictability at all.

+1 Amazing it holds at this high level, I would love to hear anyone's explanation how is this possible, meaning what drives the people to buy at this near-crash prices when actual hardware (Bitfury, KnC upgrade boards) are so much cheaper per GHs. I know people are desperate to mine with something, but at this price... Nowhere near positive ROI from just mining.

That's easy - it's called price manipulation by dodgy Ukrainian CEX staff to rip ya'll off - that's why I got out weeks ago. Otherwise known as a rip-off.

limited supply within that market i guess. maybe they could make new hardware available to existing owners in a "rights issue style" fashion to minimise the dilutive effect. I'm not clear what the strategy is on how they add new capacity? Maybe just keep prices high and sell into the market when new GHS are made available? (currently they seem to be hosting 189 devices) also has anyone done any calcs taking into account the effect of daily compounding (that is not really possible with self owned hardware) i.e. Take $100 say it buys 0.14 BTC at current prices ($700) buys 1.678 GHS @ 0.0834 yields 0.001336 BTC / day (just under 1% per day) assuming prices and yields stay the same..... big assumption i know... since I think difficulty will increase by 10% after 8 days http://bitcoinwatch.com/after 1 day = 1.0095428571428571428571428571429x 2 day = 1.0095428571428571428571428571429x 3 day = 1.0289026388269154518950437317785x 10 days ... 1.0996 X 30 days ... 1.31 x what u put in ? How does this compare to say buying a piece of h/w for $100 and mining for 30 days and then.. trying to sell it? Comparison A bitfury usb is 0.55 BTC ? and does 5GHS ? 0.00396 BTC / day ? 30 days would give 0.119 BTC assume we can sell it for what we paid as well.. that is 1.216 x what you put in ? less profitable due to compounding possibility @ CEX ? whilst i'm rambling Can I request a convenience function of being able to click on my BTC balance on the instant buy GHS page and auto fills the BTC amount for me

Your calculation is slightly optimistic, but let's not split the hairs, let's say percentages are on. Problems are: - It's not 1.31 x what u put in, it's 0.31 + CEX value of what you've put in a month from now. Be certain that value will be far less than 0.0834. I've came in to this game when value was double than it is now. Had a few successful sell/buy trades, and I'm still under the BTC amount that I've put in. -after those 30 days next 30 days will give you new 0.15x what you've put in, and that's on the optimistic side. Guess what will happen with CEX price for yet another month. All in all, i'll be happy to ever get back BTC I've put, there's some distance chance i'll manage to do so if I make enough good trades, but I'm not holding my hopes high.

Example: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=321630.0 Proven & admitted by CEX.IO in their official statement that the con came from Ghash.io I'm sorry you don't like factual answers to legitimate questions from forum members. I know you're in love with CEX - most noobs are - that's how they make their money, but calling someone "sh*t" for stating fact simply because you don't like the answer is sad & shows your inexperience. But I forgive you - as you're new here........ Wake up - see through the mist.

The price of GHS in dollars is insane. Who in their right mind pays $65/GHS when they can buy it cheaper elsewhere?
CEX.IO have mentioned an instrument to short GHS, I still await it with baited breath.

Where are you buying cheaper instant Ghs? This. Stop looking at the dollar price. Even dollar prices that might look ridiculous compared to prices a couple week ago could very well be profitable now BTC-wise. Just nobody is selling. Of course, CEX prices aren't profitable no matter how you look at it, and never have been.
