How do I change difficulty setting for my workers ?
Go to the workers tab in ghash (click on workers near the top left of the page), you can change the zero field at the end of each worker's list entry

What a joke. It was never about the 51%, it was "oh crap it was too popular". This pool has dropped to last in trustworthiness scale.

No they didn't. No one cares of 51% or something if the profit stayed at 2x. ;-)
And just like you saw everyone flew from their usual pools to here.

I just wonder why don't they limit hash/ip address if they want more users to register, since pools are pointing to ghash.io

read the previous posts, market rate is 0.05BTC per 1 GH.

also i am not sure why everyone is surprised the 2x reward was removed, do you really think cex can basically payout their entire scrypt pool to you guys for free? It's a marketing gimmick, because the fact of matter is most people who gets on a pool stays there and too lazy to reconfig.  So the idea when starting a new scrypt pool is put the hooks in and get everyone on, cex knows once miners switch most just stay. So it's a clever gimmick promoting 2x to get everyone in.  Just take what you got and be happy with it.

You know how it is... if it's too good to be true, if it quacks like a duck, etc etc

I couldn't believe this offer would last for a week when they announced it. It's incredible how cex could possibly have underestimated the demand, I mean who wouldn't want free cash. I just feel sorry for the poor sods who rented overpriced mining rigs with the expectation of a big payout.

Not surprising at all. Although the fact that 40+ GH/s switched pools in less than 24 hours kind of contradicts the "laziness" theory. But yes, some will stay, and cex are probably big enough to ignore any bad publicity from this gimmick.

Well I had never heard of them until this, so they gained publicity. I'll just remember them as "that fail pool with 2x LTC".

yup gimmick, but great one as lot of ppl stay Smiley Anyway, like how there were few shifts slightly over 40ghs and multiplier get to 1.25x but after few shifts under 40ghs multiplier is still 1.25x. Maybe some explanation how this works exactly would be nice Smiley

They changed the rewards  now :
pool speed
0-25 GH/s= 2.0x
25-60 GH/s=1.25x
+60GH/s=1.0x

The threshold is now 25:

The question is will the rate drop to 25 once the whales notice this change.

The only way to make money with GHS is to buy low and sell higher wash rinse repeat.
Thats what I do and it works for me so what I mean to say is there is no good price to buy value
unless its under the cost of antminers.
So I can only recommend buying panic selling and selling after the bloodbath dead cat bounce.
Be carefull though, the liquidity is thin for any sizable trades and a market order can move the market a good bit.

From a commercial point of view I see why they can't keep up with double since the market just kept traffic under 40 Gh/s. But this isn't really good from a trust point. Some people said they had bought contracts, I for once will soon be traveling, had I moved all my hashes to ghash and found out an hour after leaving they had changed the proposition I'd also feel quite screwed.

How do I change difficulty setting for my workers ?
Go to the workers tab in ghash (click on workers near the top left of the page), you can change the zero field at the end of each worker's list entry
what should be the difficulty set to?

in the meantime it seems, that it is now culture to lie and change rules during the game in the world of crypto-currencies.
