CEX.IO is featured on our bitcoin cloud mining review site at: http://cloudminingreport.com

Here is our full CEX.IO review

You didn't talk about the fees at CEX.IO which are now sometimes greater than the mining awards.

Thank you for your feedback - we will update the review.

Also you are welcome to submit your own review at the bottom of the review page Wink You must provide evidence / calculations for your claims for us to publish it!

Well you can easily check your self at any time:  https://cex.io/maintenance

Just that fee is 29.67%, if you have a block that takes 4x as long to mine you burn your whole award up in fees.
I'm not sure if the trading fees are off or on, but to withdraw costs .001 btc and you have to have at least .01 btc in the withdraw.  At least those are the big ones.

Yet another bullshit brown-nosing write up that has done zero research looking for brownie points from CEX  Roll Eyes There are so many untruths in that write up I don't know where to start. I suggest you scrap the whole article, do some investigative work & research the history of CEX, read some of this forum - then do it again.

All the evidence is already out there, you just didn't mention any of it.

Complete & utter rubbish.

A "report" is supposed to be based on research. Really, if you can't be bothered to do any research on the subject matter - why should I be bothered to provide you with the evidence/links/quotes? From the looks of it you haven't even read this "official" thread where CEX refuse to answer a single question. However, I will point out a few of the blindingly obvious mistakes/lies in your CEX advert for you, as I have a few minutes to spare:

"CEX.IO’s longstanding excellent reputation in the Bitcoin mining community" - apart from being caught red-handed double spending by a member of staff within their own network, refusing to even acknowledge it happened for about 5 weeks until pressure from many concerned community members forced them to finally admit that it was them "but the person who done it doesn't work for us anymore.....promise". Many links on the forum regarding this - find it yourself.

"Customer support: CEX.IO support typically responds to requests within hours" - are you kidding? Read the CEX thread. For every one person who gets a reply within that time frame there are ten users who wait weeks before getting a reply - if at all. Many links on the forum regarding this - find it yourself.

"Security: CEX.IO has never been hacked" - Rubbish! They and their users have been hacked on multiple occasions, again their customers were kept waiting for weeks for answers. Do a search, if you know how to. Many links on the forum regarding this - find it yourself.

Only recently they decided to delete the pricing structure from their own blog on the quiet - before raising prices to ridiculous levels. Many links on the forum regarding this - find it yourself.

I could go on & on, but I have other more important things to do than do your research for you. Read the forums. Google it. Read their official thread. Then come back & tell me & everyone here that your "review" is accurate. You won't be able to.

How much are CEX paying you for this false advertising anyway?

What a joke.

CEX aren't paying me anything. They're welcome too though Tongue

Most of what you refer to is subjective - from the perspective of purchasing GH/s CEX is one of the safest platforms out there. Also in regards to hacking, people's private accounts have been hacked (due to no 2FA) but the CEX platform itself has not been hacked i.e they have not had all the coins stolen from their hot wallet and this is more than I can say for many other Bitcoin services. We even include a warning at the end of our review recommending 2FA is activated straight away after signing up.

Just because you hate CEX it does not mean our review does not correctly assess their viability as a cloud mining service.

We mention the fees now too - I think you guys might be blinded by some kind of anger.

Even if we said we hated CEX you'd want more!

By the way - thank you to the previous poster for alerting us to the fees (we've been mining there for a long time and didn't notice / follow the fees when they became higher).

They are what they are. I mine in their pool with my rig simply because the payouts tend to be higher than the private pools. Also with so many garbage exchanges and pools out there a lot of people are willing to pay a premium for the stronger security. Personally I don't use their cloud mining but I can see the appeal for some. The sheer number of under qualified jack asses throwing up cloud mining and exchange sites that inevitably disappear with their customers funds make cex.io something of a safe harbor.

Wrong. Nothing of what was said is subjective - it is proven fact.
Peoples accounts were hacked through CEX's banner software & no 2FA was available to it's users.
The fact that CEX were caught double spending means that their platform was compromised, wallet addresses were changed & added. Hacked.

Again, all this information is available on this forum & by doing a google search.

Any person/company that double spends against the bitcoin network, then tries to deny it, then tries to cover it up & then admits it due to pressure from bitcoin users themselves is not to be trusted.
Any person/company that manipulates it's market prices is not to be trusted.
Any person/company that refuses to answer questions from it's users on their own official thread is not to be trusted.
Any person/company that deletes it's pricing structure from it's own blog before raising prices up to 30% is not to be trusted.

It is not a case of hating CEX at all. It is a case of hating dishonest, lying thieves. Unfortunately, CEX falls into all these categories.

At the header of your webpage it states: "Honest cloud mining platform reviews" - but you fail to mention any of complaints, accusations, fraudulent activities or negative aspects of CEX. There is nothing honest about it at all - you state things that are simply not true, then accuse bitcoin community members of being "haters" for pointing out your mistakes/omissions? That makes no sense at all.

I pulled out of CEX the moment their double spending attack was bought to light by members of the bitcoin community (or "haters" as you refer to them) because from that moment on they could not be trusted. Since then, looking over their "official" thread, it is easy to see that it was the right thing to do.

Again, if you require links to anything I have said - let me know.

As sad as it may seem, most of what you have said is not applicable to the average Joe looking to buy cloud mining power and not get scammed (i.e CEX at least is not a scam and is very reliable in that sense). Also there is still nothing quite like it the trading platform is awesome.

Having said that though please do check your PM.

EDIT: if anyone wants to read our (highly controversial!) CEX review they can do so here: http://cloudminingreport.com/reviews/cloud-mining-bitcoin-namecoin-devcoin-and-ixcoin-with-cex-io/

I have seen your PM, but am too busy to do what you ask at this moment. As soon as I get time I will though. In the meantime I suggest you do some searching yourself, not just on this forum either. Suggest using terms like:

"CEX hacked", "CEX users accounts hacked", "CEX double spending", "CEX banner hack"etc, etc......Of course, you could have done this before writing your article/advert....... Wink

I used to be very pro-CEX.io, but they simply don't care about the users.   They users are there for one thing, to provide then with fresh btc.

I left after they suddenly decided to turn on 2FA for everyone and I was locked out my account for hours because their software couldn't handle the load.  That triggered a major slide in the price of GHS and I ended up losing btc.  CEX.io customer support response to that was "Oh we had a bug, everything is fine now."

I went to scrypt.cc with is about 1000 times better than CEX.io could ever hope to be when it comes to what matters, making a real mining profit.

while I do not like CEX anymore either and I used to be pro-CEX as well scrypt.cc is not very good either. I tried them out for a week or two and they have a long way to go. THe price per kh does drop and fluctate just as much as cex (even though people on this forum said otherwise). Also their is no charts since its being "optimized" for a while now and trading on that site has a pretty bad delay for both buy and sell orders as well as when you cancel orders

You didn't give it enough time, the price goes back up as the selling fades.   They are not adding anymore KHS to the supply until the demand absorbs the supply.   Their block that they are selling is at .00155.   What would CEX do?   They would dump at the low and just keep adding more.   Anyway we have had several price dips there, but each time the price works its way back up to the .015 range.    I've been there 11 weeks now and it is an easy place to mine and make money.

You come across as a kid who missed the mining boat and has now set up a badly researched website to make money from advertising.

On another note it is hilarious to see other kids bemoaning the maintenance fees at CEX when they have been ripped-off from the very beginning. Even with 0% mining fees CEX is a rip-off.

You will see a few nerds boasting about making money from "trading" but they are just the lucky few and you are getting taken in by survival bias.

CEX exists only as a cheap way to buy-in hardware for the owners of CEX so they can mine as many coins as they can for their own grubby little syndicate. Sob stories about running at a loss are lies. The recent hikes in maintenance fees are the final death throes of an organisation that knows it can extort bitcoins from gullible teenagers.

The only difference I see between PeerBet and CEX is that PeerBet is supposedly a zero sum game and CEX is a negative sum game.
