I believe that a good gambler must be fairly patient and disciplined. Good players understand that there is no point in continuing the game if they see that the game is not going and therefore they will not bet on the late betting rounds. Good players from time to time will make very unexpected decisions.

I agree with you, Good gambler is always good to control himself whatever the situation, sometimes he was make a decision in the right moment and it will refer a big win. Good players are not greedy, they have goals to follow, they know their limits everyday. Smart Gambler can make a huge amount of money if they choose the right time to make a bet, I talk about live games, not dice which depends only in pure luck.

Anyone that cannot even control themselves in gambling is really going to be having a swell day in the shackles of addiction as time goes on. The reason why most gamblers find it hard to control themselves is just simply because they have these winning mindset in gambling which always end up putting them in a lot of problem in the long run. I agree with all the things that you stated except of the first statement that you stated. Yes, maybe the reason why people enters gambling is for fun and excitement. But we cannot just say that a profit is just a bonus for them. Actually, most of the people who enters the gambling world are after for profit. Chasing a profit does not mean that you are not qualified in being a good gambler. It is about of their discipline on how they play in gambling. For me, the most important thing to say that you are a good gambler is having a discipline.

Now that you have mentioned controlling one's self, I would like to add that it is quite hard to control yourself completely. However, you can fake yourself. When gambling, you should give the impression to others that you are relaxed, or you can do the opposite if it is in your favor. Also, a good gambler is someone with good manipulative skills. Being a manipulator is not that easy at all.

What kind of manipulation should we do in gambling? Tbh, I don't get the idea behind it. Btw, for me, a good gambler is a person who's responsible enough with his own money. Someone who tries not to spoil his finances in gambling.

Yeah, someone who is responsible will not be throwing al they have into gambling and will not be looking for profit in gambling, and that is how I see a good gambler. If a gambler is not ready to accept that the possibility of losing is high, then such a gambler should just stay away or get a job to earn and not even think of gambling at all.

When we are seeing currently the situation on most gamblers into this industry then we can able to say that there are lots of losers than on winners and if we do consider on how many successful and profitable gambling site nowadays we can really presume that there are lots of people who are throwing up money into gambling site owners which is sad.House do always have the edge this is why we should not really expect for profits.

This summarizes all the questions about the characteristics and habit of a gambler. If all gamblers posses all this then there should be no gamblers doing crimes just to pay their gambling satisfaction. There are also no broken families or families that lost their financial life because of gambling. Take time to read this and make this possible in every one of us.

Gambling is just a sort of fun and entertainment with profitable outcome if you got lucky and this should not be abuse to avoid mishandling that leads to corruption of assets and responsibility towards something that we should have to give priority like family and work. That is because gambling is growing and more people are enjoying it despite the fact that they are losing money.
Actually those who are smart enough and know the risk, they would not consider it a lose but a payment for the entertainment.

You cannot enforce anything because gamblers themselves need to understand the importance of such criteria for their better life. Even you will be enforcing, I believe it will not make any differences and all your efforts will go in vain. Gambling probably enables people to go in wrong sides of life and  it affects not just a gambler but they are family too. Its true that gamblers understand that their actions have a bad effect on their family and friends and society in general. But the truth is that they cant stop themselves from playing and thus they are forced by their minds to play (so to say). They are tempted easily by the greed which also fuels them.

This devil has made them bough down in front of him just by giving more money in short time periods so that they can live a life they wanted to live. The greed of more doesn’t allow them to stop even if they are trying to stop on their own. I believe no one can be a good gambler for ever in his career with gambling as gambling never gives room for anyone to enjoy such a status. We may finish off neutral with gambling but achieving a status of good gambling, no I believe it will be highly impossible.

I can give a very reasonable justification for this fact that people in gambling are increasing day by day even they have many bad examples in gambling. People are moving towards gambling more rapidly than any other activity because gambling gives assistance to such people who cannot meet their basic necessities of life. Also, the increasing expenses are one of the main reasons of gambling popularity.

Profit might be the first reason why people gamble, but a good gambler never attached to the profit, the most important thing in gambling is excitement and fun experience, having profit is just the bonus

a good gambler able to control himself / herself
Self controlling is very important in gambling, without a clear mind there will be a lot of mistakes in betting and even causing reckless betting and losing all of the money in split second

a good gambler know when to stop
Setting a limit is very important in gambling, setting a lost limit will prevent you to over spend your money and setting a win limit is  also important because in the long run the house got a bigger chance to win due to the house edge

a good gambler never cause any problem to the surrounding
A good gambler know that the chances of losing money in gambling is huge, so a gambler should never used daily needs money or borrowing money to gamble, and a gambler should never think of robbery or stealing to gamble

a good gambler can accept lost
When losing a good gambler won't blame the surrounding, cursing or accusing the  casino as fraud places, losing is the half part of gambling, if you can't accept lost then dont start to gamble

a good gambler should able to manage the time
A good gambler know how to split the time for family, for friends and for gambling, a good gambler never neglected family or friend just because of gambling

We must encourage people to become a good gambler, so people won't always have a bad judgement about gambler

This was a good advice to all gamblers who've become addicted with gambling. Sometimes it is really hard to give up gambling and we can't never avoid it but we can lessen it through this advice coming from a hero member of this forum. Good tips. But i think you are missing something very important. A good gambler should have a well thought out game plan (These include staking value for each round, types of games to and not to be involved in etc.) - except that gambler is just there for fun as your first point notes.

The only well thought out game plan I feel a good gambler should have is the amount he or she is gambling. Normally, I would not gamble what I cannot afford to lose and I would not go above that trying to recover what I have lost. If every gambler can keep this in mind, it would make them responsible in their gambling activity and just purely rely on luck and if it does not come, they should just move away.

Really? Is that what you believe? I guess you are saying this because when you hear gambling, it is probably termed as a bad thing or bad people because they gamble. Good gambler does exist and apart from the ones OP mentioned, they are gamblers whom believe in fair game and in fair wining. Some gamblers are good at manipulating the game to their own farvours and become greedy, these are the people you might want to term as bad gamblers.

I dont know why you are not able to understand what I said in the post I quoted. But I will make it even simpler. Being good or bad depends on what is good or what is bad. If we talk about being good in gambling - then its a bluff because in gambling long term profit is negative. Being a good person is different.

A person can be a good human being but a gambler at the same time. The latter does not make the person a bad human being unless their gambling habits take over their better half.
