I don’t think of gambling to be very good thing to do as it has a higher risk of loss of money and that most of the gamblers find it very much difficult to make some good earning most of the time. the only quality which a good gambler has is that they never gamble all their money in one go and that they invest their money into parts. This helps them in both making and losing of the money.

Sweeping statement but true enough for everyone who is in this forum and reading this thread. Greed is the motivator for profit, which is the objective of gambling. True, some people only gamble for leisure but these will never be considered "good gamblers". I don't believe in such a concept, but I definitely agree that there are bad losers, and bad winners. Those who don't know when to stop, basically, whether losing or winning.

We can only win if we work smart, being emotional is a big hindrance, we should also think positive and at the same time, we have to do some effort.

That is actually just being wise! Money management can come into other things, but with gambling you should at least not gamble with what you cannot afford to lose. Gambler can goes to pause for some time mate. They will not leave the gambling completely they always choose the gambling site and what games they gonna play and many things matters. If you want to invest your fund on dice games all the time means you loose all your money.

OP I think your criteria are more "Ideal Gambler" points, as I've yet to see a gambler fit all of these at once.  I also tend to look at gambling as somewhat of a vice and definitely not a money making mechanism or even a hobby.  Kind of like smoking and drinking.  People need to do it responsibly if they do it at all and realize that there is always a risk of creeping into that territory of problem gambling.  After that's reached, you can kiss money management and family life goodbye.

It is even better to say a sensible and reasonable person will never put all he has into gambling knowing that it is just mainly a game of luck and there is a huge chance he can end up losing everything.

That would be the wisest thing to do to every man on this planet, quitting to the things that makes their lives miserable. But, thats not very easy to achieve. Specially to a person who lost a lot of money because of gambling, he will be forever chasing for profit to make up the loss he made in gambling. I think a good gambler should be very practical. He  should do all calculations like potential risks, chances of winning. But the problem is all this will come with experience only and that is why everyone gets addicted in the beginning. With time and after few losses only, a person comes to senses.

A person who gambles can never be a good or a smart guy. If he wins, I will never dare to say that he possessed required talent. All it was is, he proved to be the lucky one. Gambling is a very bad addiction and that the ones who are used to it invest all their money even if they make that investment in installments. They cannot stop themselves from gambling until and unless all their money is wasted in gambling as they are very much fond of doing so and that they keep on going for the ways using which they can get more money so that they can gamble even if this results in loss.

Gambling actually becomes an addiction for those who allow it to become an addiction for them. The thing with gambling is that if you cannot control yourself, the greedy nature of humans and those impulses that comes with gambling, there is absolutely no way anyone can do right. Once people start seeing gambling as just a game of luck and there is a huge chance that they can lose what they are gambling with, I guess we would end up having more sane gamblers than insane ones.
