Yeah this is right. Basically the point that OP have explained in a single sentence it means that "a well disciplined person could be a good gambler". I think the criteria to success is being disciplined. So, it fits to almost every profession except one thing that has been missing is the luck. In gambling luck plays a vital role, more than anything else. A good gambler must be a lucky one. Gambling and trading are somewhere a bit same in the line of crypto. The only thing I believe is that in gambling you have the choice of time to enter to a casino while in trading you have to wait for the right time not of your choice but a requirement of trading.

Same as it`s applicable to traders, it applicable for other good and bad things in our lives, behind all that is I think control, if you have good control over yourself you can be good in anything.

I will post my criteria of needed skills/things, I have a tipster thread where I apply these skills/things and the results so far are on my side.

Criteria/Skills
1. I like to play only games where skill is a big part of them, like Texas Holdem Poker or Sports Betting because in these games you greatly enhances your chances to win.

2. Before you rush to make a bet, make sure you have studied the bet deeply, i.e you study a soccer game, with news sites, predictions sites, statistics, which of the teams needs a win more, which of the teams do not care even if they lose the game.

3. Compare different tipsters from different tipping websites like bettingexpert in order to have even a better idea what bet to place.

4. Optional--- Subscribing to some paid tipping website.

These criteria/skills can give you an edge before playing and minimising your risk when placing a bet. Keep in mind that in gambling anything can happen, even soccer bets with odd 1.03 can lose , so remember the golden rule, never play more than what you can afford to lose.

Now, this is another interesting perspective. I never look at it that way but after seeing your post, I went back to his post to calculate how possible it will be to apply it into Bitcoin or Altcoins trading; and it seems interestingly applicable. But I somehow doubt with the number (1). Most people dont trade because they want to trade, they trade because they want to make money. A trader telling you that he wants to trade but not to chase money is indirectly lying.

A good gambler know that the chances of losing money in gambling is huge, so a gambler should never used daily needs money or borrowing money to gamble, and a gambler should never think of robbery or stealing to gamble

a good gambler can accept lost
When losing a good gambler won't blame the surrounding, cursing or accusing the  casino as fraud places, losing is the half part of gambling, if you can't accept lost then dont start to gamble

a good gambler should able to manage the time
A good gambler know how to split the time for family, for friends and for gambling, a good gambler never neglected family or friend just because of gambling

We must encourage people to become a good gambler, so people won't always have a bad judgement about gambler

well this is what most people expect, most people gamble with high emotional, hope to win continuously and get bigger profit, naturally everyone related to money must be related also with emotional background to support family, if all the gambler like this possible the gambling criminal rate will be smaller

But they don’t stick to their plan later on. Majority of the gamblers are those who have families at their home to whom they have some responsibilities. They have to take care of their food and resources. But when these people come in gambling, firstly they would chose a bad thing for good purpose that is totally worthless. Secondly, when they get into this, they start being greedy.

There are just some people who are luckier than others when it comes to gambling. I know some people who are lucky most of the time when they play gambling games, and sometimes whenever they play any other game of chance, they get to win most of the time.

It's good that OP has shared this because most people are not aware or have forgotten these traits which are important. Some people think that it's all just money, and this is why they lose. They lose sight because they are only focused on $$$

This is a great summary for everything that is posted about what a gambler should be. I agree with the original poster that it should be done like that and there should be like a check mark if you are doing it regularly or a reminder if you have chased profit or something like that. Not following this criteria would mean that you could lose a lot or maybe you could go lucky it depends.

That's why gamble only can be done when they mature enough and I recommend if you're not ready for lose, better to stay away rather than sorry.

About Dan Bilzerian as pro poker player , I think he already did all things and he's also good gambler who able to control his guts and let the luck decide his fate !

It is neither about the maturity nor about the experience, it all about bad and harmful behavior of gambling towards its players. We see such a beautiful face of gambling where people thing this is an easy money source. You just go there, don’t do anything, just put your investment and then it becomes double or triple and blah. That makes you a good gambler for the casino. Casinos make their profits from people who want to have fun, and many times end up angry and frustrated after losing too much. You can’t have much fan when you get a long losing streak.

Trading can be compare with the sports betting option bro. If we simply wanna compare the gambling with the trading means we cannot able to do that. I am not sure how the gamblers taken as a good person or good gamblers.
Once the get into the gambling field. They will get the greedy in mind and started loosing their hard earned money with this. If person can control the greediness on the gambling then we can consider that person as good gamblers and nothing else needed.

All the list are perfectly true though, most of gamblers are always can't accept lost when they do gambling. Once he lose a bet, he will double or even triple their bet to chase the lose to get win which is really bad to do and this is why gamblers always ended with lose and never get profits, the sad is i always like this.

Knowing exactly how to increase / decrease bets on certain multipliers as well as recognizing patterns & calculating potential profits or losses in real-time will help you avoiding irrational decisions.

Knowing the math is probably one of the most important parts of being a gambler, those that are bad gamblers do not know the math and that is why they get mad and do all kind of crazy things if you know the math and you still decide to gamble then that means that you are willing to pay the price to get some nice time and that at the end when you lose money, and you will, you're going to be fine with it because you knew that was inevitable.

Now that you have mentioned controlling one's self, I would like to add that it is quite hard to control yourself completely. However, you can fake yourself. When gambling, you should give the impression to others that you are relaxed, or you can do the opposite if it is in your favor. Also, a good gambler is someone with good manipulative skills. Being a manipulator is not that easy at all.
