github is updated should fix sync issues.
Before this update I was able to fix my issues by doing a complete sync from scratch wiped everything but my wallet.dat . it synced staked and has been fine.
please make the exe for mortalz and this will help all be synced yeah that takes a moment, a bribe, and a favor or two. they are coming. When is this shit gonna be fixed wtf |

Tekcoin IS fixed, it was actually never broken, It was just undergoing maintenance for merely 24 hours and people act like the sky was falling! We are very fortunate to have an active dev who cares and actively tends to his creation. For those who are still having issues, all you need to do is redownload the blockchain by doing the following 3 steps: * Specific instructions are for Windows users, but these are the basic steps for everyone1. Make a backup copy of your Tekcoin wallet.dat file in your Tekcoin folder (located at: C:\Users\[your admin user name]\AppData\Roaming). You should always have atleast one recent backup anyway. If not, do it now and store it in a separate folder or drive. * AppData folder is hidden by default. In this case; open "Folder and Search Options" in the Organize tab (in folder view), then select the "view" tab and select "show hidden folders, files, and drives" under "show hidden files and folders". You will no be able to see and access the AppData folder. 2. Delete everything in your Tekcoin folder. This will erase the blockchain data and allow the Tekcoin wallet to download a new blockchain upon your next startup of the Tekcoin wallet. You should also download the new wallet at this time from tekcoin.org if you have not yet done so. * Here is a direct link to the download page: http://tekcoin.org/?page_id=263. The apr % is rising steady by the day. Microstaking is getting cleaned up and the code is tight, the time is now for promotion. Come join the troll boxes and tell them what you like about TEKcoin. I am on Yobit chat daily doing some promo we could use a cryptopia cheerleader as well ( i was banned  ). I am going to start running the banner adds again and push once more for Bittrex. I think we are setup quite nicely right now for a big comeback. |

New wallet is not acting right.. warnings from windows when run it... also once it starts "syncing" it goes into "not responding".. hard drive going crazy.. never does anything after that.. let it sit for over 10 minutes and nothing changed.. just hard drive running constantly - not responding and no change in synced block numbers.. have to stop the executable in task manager to shut it down. This is not normal activity for tekcoin wallet.

Wallet was synced a few days ago and staked etc just fine.. upgraded to newest wallet from 2.4 to 2.4.1.. that's when it stopped syncing... that bootstrap link is way older than what I have already synced(2 days ago was my last) .... having to re-sync over a gig of data every time a wallet update happens is....so just upgrading to the newest wallet without having to do anything is not true for me at least.

backup your .dat delete everything else from the appdata folder but a copy of the .dat then resync from scratch with newest build. |

Re-synced using this ->> Tekcoin BlockChain Snapshot ( The Fastest Way to Sync ) Download at https://mega.nz/#!6VglESZK!CJSWHwzRyr0UOXw9Rld7Kq9eq32MQBbIOpl8Zw1pCSw Looks like somewhere before the 21st of this month I jumped on another chain.. hence why new wallet would probably not sync right (wish a message would come up and tell me!!!)... syncing now.. guess I have some re-staking to do on right chain.. hopefully all good after this. Update: synced well... ran "repairwallet" in console and that removed the incorrect stakes.. just started staking again... so far so good. |

I tried to use the blockchain from Steve's Cryptochainer site but surprisingly it did not work as my error said "Invalid checkpoint please download the blockchain again or inform the developers". I was like WTF! as I had done everything right. I left wallet.dat and TekCoin.conf undisturbed as I copied the blockchain over to my AppData folder. I tried this again with your more up to date blockchain and deleted my TekCoin.conf file. I also ran repairwallet before I unlocked my wallet as I had a safe mode message appear when I tried to stake as I ran this. The TekCoin wallet seems to be running fine as I will find out in 7 days(?) whether or not I am able to stake. @ThunderToe When is the Hard Fork deadline occurring? Also this new fork means we stake less right (no microstaking as people have complained)? |
