probably a good idea for tekcoin.org to start monitoring cryptopia price for tekcoin, cryptsy price isn't doing tekcoin much good is it?

It is 1/5 the price on cryptopia and dropping steadily, though at least you can get your coins in and out there.

True market price is based ability to buy and sell AND withdraw either in TEK or the coin/FIAT that it was converted to.

That is what I said.

If more of us start using Cryptopia the spread will close and the price will rise.
Just not enough volume yet. Or you can sell at Cryptsy - then buy a different coin to w/d.
Losing on the spread 2 - 3 times. After I was forced to do that to get my BTC out, Cryptsy has lost its
appeal to me. Here is to a new and better year in 2016.

Happy New Year all.
Spending the day re syncing Tek wallet. This is the second time in a month.  Hope you are all having better sync luck then I.

I wonder if the 'hard fork' will help with this.

What a mess, thanks cryptsy.

I would suggest never to use cryptsy, they are awful; if you have a withdrawal for literally any amount, even a couple cents or a dollar worth of crypto it will take days for the withdrawal to process.  In the world of volatile price movements that is just not acceptable.  I believe there is a class action lawsuit against them as well.

Glad you were able to cash out Gribgo. I am seeing a lot of buzz out there of folks held up on withdraws.  Good strategy, going to another coin then withdrawing. Hope you are able to get your money out of the coin you withdrew on another exchange.

I was very fortunate to not have anything at Cryptsy when this all started.

Biomech or Thundertoe.......

Any word on the fork?  I would also like to know if any thought is put into not having to sync the entire block chain for a wallet. It is becoming cumbersome. Is there a way to draw the line in the sand and say "the past is the past and what happened before..say 6 months ago is archived." then just download from that point to current. then every 6 months, archive another 6 months of the block chain.  Is this possible or just crazy talk?  Man I could see this becoming a monster in a few years, and that can't be good for the industry.

POS diff is very low, so no fork needed fast
no emergency is going on! Concenrtate on staking while things sortout at exchanges..
it really should not be your only pos coin! You must have 5-6 coins in the basket, so just switch your attention to hbn or dmd!

I have bitbeans, hyperstake, and netcoin, so yes I'm already diversified.

Doesn't mean I can't voice discontent when one of my kids is failing badly.

But yes you're right, difficulty hits the sweet 40% spot many days so fork not needed as quick but everyone is not correctly linking to the cryptopia exchange directly.

https://www.cryptopia.co.nz/Exchange?market=TEK_BTC

That link takes you DIRECTLY to the tek coin exchange page. You'd be surprised at how lazy people are when browsing, so let's make it easy for them.

Tekcoin is number one at cryptopia.
Would someone post a donation address to get Tek coin onto the cryptopia tipping function please, I would happily dontate and tip.

If you still have TEK or BTC at Cryptsy sell it for UNO. I've heard Cryptsy is still allowing withdrawals for this particular altcoin as they have the top cold storage of UNO. I think we should get the word out to other exchanges to start trading TekCoin. Also maybe a way to trade Tek for fiat would be great.

Have too much coins working in cryptsy
All very expensive coins can withdraw similar doge it was 41 sat yesterday
But the real doge price is 32 ... all expensive coins is withdrawable
All cheap coin can't withdraw similar dash .. dash there is 0.0065 ... very cheap . Dash other exchanger is 0.0080

For my idea is trading inside cryptsy .. then withdraw then will not lose a lot of money ....this is the way

For tekcoin .... cryptsy made it dead ... before tekcoin was very nice coin ... later cryptsy made it dead when they stop tekcoin wallet

Actually, no, that is not possible without completely changing how the blockchain works. But you can download a bootstrap and speed up the process considerably. I'm pretty sure there's one maintained continuously posted in the OP. If I'm wrong on that, I will see if I can make it happen. I have the knowledge, just need hosting Tongue

Last time I talked to Thundertoe, a bit over a week ago, the fork was still being worked on. I didn't get an ETA. As I noted before, I'm not actually part of the dev team for TEK, aside from being an enthusiast and occasionally helping with testing and what not. I've got some inside contact, but at least currently, no inside information.
