I couldn't get to compile it myself either but the binary is working fine here I'm running High Sierra 10.13.4. Thank you

edit -- Strange things seem to happen even when not resync'ing from scratch... Two of my systems upon restarting and being a few days behind, seem to both slowly catch up at the same time. I think potentially a few more core nodes on the network could fix your problem.

Sure, more full nodes will improve and fasten the sync process for everyone.

I am observing the network long term and will add your full node(s) to the list of seednodes if they join the longstanding tradition of "being around fulltime".

If I open up port 51339 and turn my node into a full node what does that do, is there a benefit ?
...and I've found this port is blocked and can't figure out what's blocking it, firewall disabled and it's still blocked.
