This is what supporters need to understand, that there is no 100% GPU/ASIC resistant. If it is profitable enough, engineers can build ASICs in secret and mine in secret. It's up to the developers to continuously innovate to make their coin GPU or ASIC resistant.
making an asic, require huge knowledge, and lots of money (>100k$), this coin hasnt real price yet, so it's not "profitable" (so nobody will make an asic for this) |

Just a matter of time. The real concept to grasp here is: will an ASIC firm be able to design and manufacture a new ASIC every 100k blocks?  |

I see that about 65 % of all nodes have upgraded.
Good.
But can we do better?
If you are a miner and haven't updated yet you will run the risk of mining on the wrong chain after block >= 200k.
Watch out!

Yes, ca 30% haven't updated, but that's just like during the last fork. It's good enough. Watch out with that network-list in the blockexplorer, it says: "This is sub sample of the network based on wallets that have connected to this node in the last 24hours." So it will not accurately represent the current state. If you want to get a better picture of the current network state, you need to run a full node with many connections (preferably 100 or so) and then do a "getpeerinfo" and count the amount of string-appearances of 70021 versus 70020. |
