Testnet (Burgerhash) Network (MH/s)

// noticed the network hash rate @ only a few 100 KH/s about 12 hours ago && testing transfers of the coins from mined blocks to one input now, very time-consuming  Wink Grin

// also had to fix the libpng12.so.0 error a few times on my builds (operating systems tester since 2010  Wink ) && made a Github with the issue, for anyone else with the Linux QT error  Cool

New updates coming soon.

Meanwhile I see that testnet hashrate has dropped a bit again.

So I am going to increase the BURGER-to-ZETTEL offer until block 300k:

https://www.zetteltalk.org/viewtopic.php?f=5&t=28

I'll pay 1 ZETTEL for every 500 BURGER mined.

Enjoy

What is the token price on public sale? and where can I find the public sale status? (the number of tokens sold out, fund collected...)
Thanks in advance!

We had no ICO,

we are just a plain old POW altcoin with fair launch and no premine.

I have 7 suggestions.
Sorry for bad english.

1.Please add seedphrase wallet generation option.
To generate and recover wallet by seedphrase.
Like in electrum wallet.
Or better then electrum - like in waves decentralized exchange, it is the best example, its seedphrase generation form (like brainwallet) is not limited by the standard electrum phrase pattern, and any phrase can be entered.

2.Please add daemon version of program, and "number of threads using in mining" argument in daemon. For example i wanna start it like a system service (daemon) and permit only 2 threads from 4 to mining.

3.Please add option: "send to wallet <walletaddress> all avaible coins, when you have mined new block". Because I want to send them immediately on coldwallet and not hold em on hotwallet.

4.Is it possible to add an option that will allow you to evade downloading full blockchain, and will allow to use other fullnodes as electrum servers, to provide you to send transactions, and to know your ballance. For example it will be useful when you need to access your brainwallet when you faraway from home, using external computer with linux live cd, and wanna make transactions fast without downloading full blockchain.
I speaking about autonomous decentralized electrum server system, working from box. Is it possible?

5.Don't you wanna make your coin forever cpu-only (gpu and asic impossible), like hodlcoin (1GB AES algo it has no gpu miner since 2016)?
I advise you to look also at zillioncoin (CPU-only Spreadcoin fork like yours) and its hashing algorytm (different then yours). Does it have any weaknesses?

6.Is it possible to add your coin to barterdex decentrilised exchange using atomic swap.
https://github.com/KomodoPlatform/BarterDEX/releases
You can write issue to developers. They are good guys, and will not refuse if the coin meets the following conditions:
https://komodoplatform.atlassian.net/wiki/spaces/KPSD/pages/154107956/How+to+submit+your+coin+to+BarterDEX
From this exchange your coin will never be delisted even in apocalyptic scenario.

7. Payments by shares.
There is in Ethereum such a thing as uncle blocks (uncle is the brother of the paternal block), these are orphans that are monetized and added to the blockchain and increase its difficulty and safety, due to the computations embedded in them. Uncle included in the unit, receive a 7/8 static block award.
I propose to extend this mechanism not only to orphans (ideal alternative block solutions) but also to shares (non-ideal alternative block solutions) and to pay them a reward proportionally to the degree of ideality of the shares (like in proportional pool system), from 7/8 for ideal orphan and down to the ultimate lower ideality of accepting the share, ULIOATS is fixed and corresponds to the daily work of the statistical middle-user cpu-processor for example core-i5 2400.

This system will provide a guaranteed periodic award for any even for the weakest processors. Due to this, weakest processors will not escape from solo-mining even in case of strong increasing difficulty of the network and increasing of time between their blocks to unacceptable values, measured in years.

The problem of a heavy blockchain, I propose to solve by cutting off the tail of blockchain. Let's assume so: every 50 thousand blocks (with block time of 1 minute - this is about a month) creates a checkpoint block containing a complete list of all non-zero wallets and their balances. And every 300 thousand blocks, the most ancient tail under the most ancient “50 thousand checkpoint block” is cutting off.

...
- It has been asked a lot of times but I would like to ask once again: Is there any progress in the 64bit win wallet?
Thanks!
Categorically I join

In meantime if you use win 10 you can mine ZETTEL in WLS and you will get better hashrate
Someone on discord manage to run both daemon on WLS and Win wallet at same time by changing listening port on win wallet
I use only Win7x64
1 worker is now minining under Puppy Linux (from USB-flash)
Hashrate is 2 times faster
Why dev doesn't want to make a Wx64 wallet?

I had to install Ubuntu on all of my machines because the Windows version I have does not support WSL but it's actually not too bad, maybe the Windows 64bit wallet is hard to compile but there should be one by now.

It has been brought to my attention that bitcoin based wallets earlier than 0.14 are vulnerable to an attack mentioned here:

https://nvd.nist.gov/vuln/detail/CVE-2018-17144

I created a new bounty that offers 500 ZETTEL to whoever manages to reproduce the attack and crash a remote full node:

https://www.zetteltalk.org/viewtopic.php?f=16&t=53&p=135#p135

Thanks

If someone needs a bootstrap file, I will provide them from time to time.

Especially after a fork happens.

The newest bootstrap file can be found here:

https://www.zettelkasten.org/bootstrap.zip

(contains up to block 256597)

To apply the bootstrap file delete EVERYTHING in your blockchain folder except wallet.dat, peers.dat and zettelkasten.conf

We thought about that. We can test this on testnet first. It might have unintended consequences you never know.

For me it is unfortunately not possible to run linux on my pc's because they must run 24/7 on win64. It would be really great if somebody  could compile a x64 wallet!

@ Zettelkasten: If you would like to start a bounty for an x64 wallet I would be glad to assist this bounty with a donation of 500 zettel. Just let me know.

I'm with you on this, it's actually quite embarrassing there's no x64 wallet for Windows yet and I get that it's difficult but it's not impossible. If I knew how I would've compiled one by now.

You're quoting the wrong person, I did not post that. I have tried VB but it doesn't perform as good as WSL or native Linux.

Yes indeed! I wrote that: "For me it is unfortunately not possible to run linux on my pc's because they must run 24/7 on win64. It would be really great if somebody  could compile a x64 wallet!"  Smiley
Good to know that the VB doesn`t perform that good. Do you have any comparison numbers, eventually in percentage, about the performance differences between 32bit windows wallet, 64bit in VB and 64bit in native linux?
I am asking that because with a fulltime job, an extra big project, a small mining farm and two small kids and a wife at home it would be pretty frustrating  to invest time to install linux in the VB and the find out that there is almost no performance gain...

I tried virtualbox+linuxmint under windows64 on zillioncoin (similar to zettelkasten spredcoin-cpuonly-fork) On native linux (liveusb) it has 30 kh/s, on virtualbox 28kh/s, on windows 32bit-wallet it has 15 kh/s. So i think, this is allowable alternative. Slowdown is about 10 percents vs 50 on win32 wallet.

Don't want to appear too rude, but if you haven't time to install Linux in a VB (takes 30-60 mins), then i'm guessing you've not really time to be a miner...
Anyways you've got your figures now, if that increase isn't worth it, i don't know what is...

I've tried that myself but VB does not use all resources eventhough performance is better and it used to crash from time to time, I'd say WSL is the best bet.

2 miners, 1 Wallet - shows different Balances.
Syncronisation is full for both.
Seems like 1 miner shows only blocks mined by himself but another - mined by both Sad

It's very likely one of the wallets could be on a fork, are you using the same version for both wallets?
