So, looks like it could well be over. A reminder, this prick fuck here : https://www.triplea.law/attorneys-bokkes/Is the registered business owner of the Curaco company who are the "shadow" company for FBC BV (aka, freebitco.in) He knows who the real owners are, he knows they've stolen tens of millions of dollars worth of Bitcoin from their user base, but he's keeping quiet. He has a phone number. He has an email address. There are bombing programs to block his server. I won't say more. I hope he dies a painful death like all the FreeBitcoin scammers.

Warsaw Cloudflare = Working freebitco.in Host = Error
Cloudflare's node is in Warsaw, that means the server was somewhere in Europe.
Cloudflare node is one of the nearest to you not to the site. go back one page to see a screenshot from another user and it say miami.... I have Milan as i'm in italy. Yes, I agree, my mistake, the mapping shows the nearest Cloudflare node through which we access the final destination. But that doesn't change the essence of the matter — the site is simply DISABLED, the server is down, the money has disappeared... But again, if they used a paid Cloudflare plan, for example, then after the fraud reports are filed, you can contact Cloudflare and get information about who paid for this service for the FreeBitco.in domain, and then it all depends on the “desire” of law enforcement agencies to bring the investigation to a conclusion.

It feels to me this should be a slam dunk for law enforcement. We can speculate, but we're almost certainly talking about tens of millions of dollars (maybe in excess of a 100 million) of customer funds that are essentially missing / stolen. This is not a trivial amount.
The problem we have at the moment is a real lack of coordination of efforts to bring these fucks to justice.
We need a group or someone in charge of liaising with law enforcement, dutch, curacao and American would be the most relevant at the moment.
I expect if the right law enforcement officials lay eyes on what has happened here, they will be very motivated to bring the site owners to justice, as well as those dutch prick lawyers who are hiding them.

I wouldn't be surprised if they did have a real problem with thousands or millions of bots milking the faucet. The botters may have succeeded in withdrawing enough to make them insolvent before they shut down withdrawals. When the site deleted its meters displaying deposits and reserves in real time, a few years ago, that was a red flag that something was wrong.

I think you might be right about that, but to just continue on with each passing year like everything is fine is wrong. Not just that, they continued to up the magnitude of their offerings and prizes; in retrospect it was perhaps to attract new business to make up for devastating losses. For as long as I've been a member of this forum I've known you can't try to do something good (like giving away BTC) without having a flood of abusers... its just part of the online anonymous territory. They may have been milked by bots but ultimately its on them for not having developed better safeguards.

I wrote earlier that to solve the problem, we need to file mass reports of fraud with the relevant authorities, and one of the participants in this discussion has already provided the addresses here. But if everyone continues to just discuss the problem here, there will be no solution...

You or any affected member can do the compiling of all the legal information needed to file a legal case against them; maybe create a separate thread about it and request for the mod to get it pinned on the appropriate board. If you get the approval, so be it, but if you want any mod to do the other job, that might not happen.

I'll never understand not just selling the site and shit canning the liabilities...
A website is just a virtual asset, while financial obligations are financial obligations described in the offer; these are real obligations of the service owners. Therefore, if a sale is possible, it must involve the transfer of obligations or the separation of rights to own the website and, separately, financial responsibility and obligations.

Affected members could take it upon themselves and create a thread dedicated to documenting all the information that is necessary for an investigation and legal work. You could also create a telegram group or Discord server where all of you can collaborate on how to go about with the issue The Investigations board can be a good place to create such a dedicated thread.

No matter who we find (talking about the lawyer) as long as nothing is done about it, then it is not going to change anything. And even worse case is that, under certain amount they won't do anything, so you need to get together a lot of people to make it happen somehow.
Moreover, I am sure they have already bankrupted, they just took whatever is left and just ran with it, I doubt we can do anything to get our money back. They just scammed people, and lived to tell the tale, it is that simple, and unfortunately quite common in crypto world.

they definitely did have a bots problem, but i don't think it was at that scale. even if it was, that's not an excuse, because they should have done something about it. When the site deleted its meters displaying deposits and reserves in real time, a few years ago, that was a red flag that something was wrong.
there is no way they would have just watched their bitcoin reserves get drained by bots on a massive scale that would make them insolvent. but again, the site was being run so incompetently that i wouldn't rule that out. I'll never understand not just selling the site and shit canning the liabilities...
who is gonna buy a sinking ship from them? the name and domain has some value, but other than that, it would be a waste of money.

I remember back in the day when In used Freebitcoin in order to access their faucet each hour, one was supposed to prove one was a human being through captcha. I wonder if people managed to break the security of Freebitcoin when comes to user verification, perhaps with the help of some artificial intelligence which successfully passed those tests and claimed those hourly rewards seamlessly. Whatever the case, if they wanted to continue to have a profitable service, all the had to do was being honest and transparent about the abuse of the system and limit the amount of Bitcoin they offered on their faucet. Some people would have not liked it, sure, but they would continue to be in business to this they if they chose to do the right and logical course of action instead of all this mess.

The faucet could have been made random, it was very limited low value even for bot usage. It would be quite easy to restrict it to active players or whatever rule would make it awkward to abuse easily. I dont think that was the problem which sunk the ship, the site was likely profitable but not as profitable as just extracting all the capital. The whole token thing overweighted the balance firmly into temptation to do that.

Some people would have not liked it, sure, but they would continue to be in business to this they if they chose to do the right and logical course of action instead of all this mess. Or the could have simply just turned of the faucet as well, because even to me, It makes no sense any more running a faucet when it's being abused by users making bots to milk from the faucet 24/7 without rest, they could have simply turned it off because based on the price of bitcoin, it even no longer makes sense running a faucet because at some point, when 1 Satoshi could become quite expensive. And beside, there used to be so many bitcoin faucets in the early days, they've all closed down, some have converted to other business, anybody here knew that FTX exchange started as a faucet? I believe known knew, they started as a faucet that later converted to the blockfolio app which is an app where investors keep track of their crypto investments, and later on, the app turned into an exchange itself that gave birth to FTX.. So, freebitco would not have been the first to turn of their bitcoin faucet to focus on other things, if it was about giving users incentives to keep them, they still had the weekly lottery and the lambo contest I think..

I haven't visited this thread for a while but I see that, finally, the site has gone down and nobody has been paid. It didn't take a genius to realize that this was how it was going to end. Although I see one member changed his feedback to neutral when they announced they were going to fix the problems, lol.

I am one of the affected users of FreeBitco.in and I am looking for other affected people who are willing to report this to the authorities in their own country. For privacy and safety, do NOT post any personal information here. All I’m asking is that you share this as widely as possible so we can reach as many affected people as possible. For which I thank you in advance. If you are affected, please report it to the appropriate authorities in your country (police and or national cybercrime reporting channel). The more official reports exist across countries, the higher the chance the cases can be linked and investigated. To make your report as strong as possible, collect and keep the following evidence privately on a USB drive for the appropriate authorities: 1. Account evidence * Screenshots showing you were logged in and your balance was shown * Any error message, shutdown notice, or withdrawal blocked or pending status * Any account identifier shown on screen (blur non essential parts) 2. Deposit and payment evidence (for each deposit or purchase) * Date and time * Amount (BTC and fiat if applicable) * Destination wallet address used * Receipt, invoice, or transaction confirmation (PDF or screenshot) 3. Blockchain evidence (for each deposit) * Bitcoin TXID (transaction hash) * A block explorer screenshot showing the TXID and the output to your destination address, including amount and time or block height 4. Communication evidence * Copies or screenshots of emails/messages sent to support * No response received (keep timestamps) 5. One page timeline * First deposit date * Last successful login date * Date withdrawals stopped working or were blocked * Date the platform became inaccessible Thank you for reading and for sharing this. “Just a heads up: the FinCEN link that was posted (fincenusgov.org) by a member is not an official FinCEN domain. Only use official sites (ic3.gov and fincen.gov), and report FreeBitco.in to your local authorities in your own country. @Arwan_666, sorry that you were affected also by the freebitco shutting down issue while withholding funds belonging to their users, but I honestly feel you are chasing shadows..
First is that I do not think that freebitco was ever regulated, I don't know if the had a license from the government of which if they never had, then how is it possible that the authorities will be able to phish out those who were behind the freebitco site?
I honestly think that instead of going through this stress of reporting that may not yield any positive results at the end of the day, is it not better to simply accept your loss and move on already?
And besides, for those who have non of those evidence you mentioned, it's pretty clear that they can't obtain several of those proofs without having to sign into their account, now that the site is down, how can they gather such evidence you listed?
