I would go with Ethereum, since it is already established and has a real usecase.
On the other hand I think that Tron might bring better short-term profits due to pumps. So if you are going to hold a coin without trading, go with Ethereum, otherwise if you trade a lot, go with Tron.

Well tron is pretty new though considering the progress it made in the time it's been in the market, it's quite impressive. Kudos to the team behind it. But most people right now are more familiar with ether so it's an obvious choice between the two.

TRX team is doing its job well, the project always has new updates on social networking, source code and they follow the correct roamap. They have released their own mainnet, I think the 2019 TRX can go beyond their position now in terms of value as well as practical application.

I vote for ETH, as I trust it more and I'm sure it will survive next 5 years. As for TRON, it's promising and has some potential, but at the same time it is less predictable, more volatile and I'm not sure that it will remain popular within next few years.

Vote for ETH all the way.. Tron is still in being developed state even though it has big acquisitions lately buying Bittorrent and utorrent. Investment is safe in terms of assurance because of these but ETH still the king compared to Tron.
