Though WCT holders have a huge advantage since WCT is 10 times cheaper than VST, they will get 10 times more VST during the airdrop for the same price.
Therefore, WCT is more likely to see a big effect on it's price and Waves might suffer of it because there is no interested in buying waves for the airdrop when you can get a much better offer with WCT for now.

So unless I misunderstood something in the calculations of the airdrop, it's more beneficial to hold WCT than Waves for the airdrop ( 1WCT/Waves = 1 VST ? It's said nowhere , no info about the ratio since it's 30M fixed, you can't make a ratio, it will depend on how many people are holding waves on the platform)

Sasha said that a hype around airdrops is not suitable . Make sense when I see now they plan the Airdrop in April. This will cool out the minds . The goal is to reward the guys that hodl the coin. Now while I don't expect a surge in price to 7$ like posted a redditor , I do expect for the price of wave not to dump on the next redflash if that occur .The Airdrop it's a safety net to me against the dumps over the next couple of month . The prices should correlate pretty much to BTC volatility should a crisis occur.
Lastly , with regards of the reward percentage, yes , it's not great but it's better surely than nothing . What matters more to me even are the positive updates about partnerships and Binance and so on .

i'm kinda happy that airdrop will happen at a later date and is announced well in advance, there won't be any fomo i guess as people will have ample time to buy waves.

• Added ability to trade on DEX with scripted accounts. If an account has a multi-signature script,
  the user is now able to work with orders on the same principals as for transactions, via JSON.
  This feature can be accessed via ‘Advanced features’ in Settings.
  
• Added ‘Last price’ block centering, even with a small number of orders in the order book.
• Added search for assets when creating an invoice or sending an asset.
• The chart on DEX is now synchronized and displays results of last trade faster.

I remember some people were thinking price will be down again and they failed to read the market. Yeah especially Waves is looking damn good lately. With all what is already announced and what is planned for this year, I am really wondering what the price of WAVES will be in the end of 2019.
