Value of 1 billion Vostok is $120 million as the funding round implies.

If you have 5000 waves you will receive 1500 vostok (0.3 per 1 ratio). The value of those 1500 is only $180 where as 5000 waves at $2.55 per 2019-01-18 is worth nearly $13 000, so it's 1.5% on your supply.

Effect on waves price from this airdrop will be marginal.

Yes, that's what I was saying, it will have more effect on WCT and very little effect on Waves, there is no reason to buy waves for the airdop when the price is 10 times higher for the same amount of Vostok.

yeah i hope people don't buy waves for the sake of airdrop, instead buy it for the technology it offers. you can buy more vostok with waves only you know, if or when ico is held.

Big players always play with the emotions of newcomers and create FOMO to buy any coin on high price. Even airdrop don't bring any kind of innovation or make the growth healthy when it will get finished they will dump again on these people who bought at high price this is tricky game.

Now while I don't expect a surge in price to 7$ like posted a redditor , I do expect for the price of wave not to dump on the next redflash if that occur .The Airdrop it's a safety net to me against the dumps over the next couple of month . The prices should correlate pretty much to BTC volatility should a crisis occur.
Lastly , with regards of the reward percentage, yes , it's not great but it's better surely than nothing . What matters more to me even are the positive updates about partnerships and Binance and so on .

Current -2.5% only. I mean not many will rush to sell theirs tokens before the airdrops just because we see red. i think waves right now is a good investment, it has good development and partnerships, it probably will be in top 10 in coming days or months. hold on to your waves!
