We all hope bitcoin will continue it's bull run in sooner time. I see you are new member here, but my advice to you is to pay attention on whole story of bitcoin's price but not just on the last and current year. After learning of how bitcoin's price changed through years you will see that this currency had long periods of dumps (from 2013 to beginning of 2017) and if you call yourself as a believer you should be prepared that something like that may happen again.

I only hope that is positive, because everyone also already knows the risk of loss from bitcoin, so I do not think it necessary to explain again.

I never pay attention to figures mentioned by people to happen within a certain time frame. The only thing I do pay attention to, purely because I'm curious, are certain semi-plausible events that could potentially cause the market to increase again. In the last weeks I have repeatedly seen tax season be the main subject of discussion, where even more high level individuals have stated that it will translate into an increase once we have left that date behind us. If we look at the charts last year, the price did actually start to increase around April 17th, which gives things a tad bit more credibility. I'm not at all expecting it to happen once again, but I'll look towards that date with more interest now.

It's too big to think, it's something smaller, at the end of the year it won't be more than $25k. I hate to predict bitcoin's price because I was always wrong at this point. Like everyone I also want that Mike's prediction comes true. If that really happens, that will be very unexpected to me.

That is a good perspective for investment business, but I think it is not wise to compare this year straight to last year, because bitcoin price explosion was only happen last year, not really happen in the years before. it is good to be optimistic, but should prepare if only stability of bitcoin price has come.

But at least we can see that with bitcoin's proven record, it can still go up and increase or go even further an hit all-time-high once again. If history can tell us lessons, then its time to invest on bitcoin today because its quite cheap and wait for it to go on another bull run and see how our investments grow in the future.

Not wise to compare but at least learn a lesson or two from its past history, just saying.

Completely agree with you bitcoin's price somehow is unpredictable however some experts predicting that the price will soar by the end of this year. I personally believe and keep hoping since I'm holding some amount too.

I believe, in the near future,  Bitcoin will be number one trusted investment globally,  when the time comes,  bitcoin will be valid as payment.  Everyone will be benefited and at the same time life would be more easier. Financially,  world will be more fun to live.

Nah i think at the end of this year bitcoin could reach maximum 20 000$ or may be will try to reach 30 000$ but not to much , its very hard level for now . We need very big power and money to come here.

We have the different opinion, I guess bitcoin will not move up this year as what I can see in the latest price of bitcoin. There are also reason why does the price seems slow to move; one thing, people don't want to buy bitcoin because the price seems going down and people don't want to sell because they trapped at the middle of the price. If they sell their bitcoins right now, there is potential lose to them.
But I always forward in bitcoin! And hoping that your basis will happen.

That was a better prediction and hopefully that will really happened in this year. It is good to have some information base on the past years experiences but it is much better that we don't rely too much for that and maybe we can actually and actively observe the real happening in the market. It is much helping to us if we have a day by day awareness. All of us has a different prediction about it but the most important is what is your own prediction because in the end of the day you will be the only one who decided for yourself.

In the scandal of Mt Gox, many traders are still profitable thanks to their ability to take advantage of low prices. No one is going to be able to accurately predict the value of btc in the future or any other coin for that matter. People can only speculate. Even with all the predictions, there will be unforeseen events that will occur and may affect the prices as we know it. It's sometimes good to have a projection of the price and to keep updated of any activity or event which may contribute to the movement of the price.

everyone in this forum always hopes bitcoin prices will go up after a drastic drop. but nothing can ensure the price of bitcoin in the future. its volatility and fluctuations are very difficult to guess. we can only pray that in the future there will be no more negative issues about cryptocurrency that can make bitcoin prices down. bitcoin prices are heavily influenced by the political and economic issues of the world.
