i think it's better cut loss and wait for price below again then we buy back, so there will be transaction in btc, and i think the price will not be this bad. if many people only hold btc so  market circulation will decrease

You cant cut your loss if you sell it and buy again. Just stay in holding, you just only contribute  price fall down. And you only do some people to make suffer for not holding your coins. You only think only for you self not for the good of the coins.

HODL is a good strategy, but dangerous. You must closely monitor the price movement, otherwise you can lose 50% or more of your investment. Everything is not as simple as it seems.

What percent return do you want in a year? What is your goal? You are probably thinking of a number and I want you to put everything into perspective. In finance, if you are able to make a 10-20% return per year you are absolutely killing it. The average Hedge Fund does not make more than a 7% return (yeah the “smartest” people in the world working with the richest people aren’t even able to bring in more than 10% on average).

There are a few things that I need to make clear. I am in no way saying that you could easily make that return. If it was easy, everybody would do it. My point is that it is easier to make a bunch of small gains and compound them together than to make huge gains buying and holding 1 coin. The odds of hitting an 1104% gain by buying Bitcoin or Ethereum is basically non-existent. The odds of trading them for a 5% gain per week is possible. You might miss out on big gains with this strategy but you really should not care. It is about your yearly gain. Charts go up and down and that 40% that your friends made could be pennies to you if you use my strategy.

Sometimes you don't wanna hold if you know the actual value of a particular coin or token. It is quite prudent to sell when prices rise and buy back more of the said coin or token and continue the process in this fashion. Hodling needs too much patience which most people may not have.

I am using HODL and step by step selling strategy. E.g. imagine I have 10BTC and sold a bit when price was 18k$. But another part I am keeping for better times. So I am protected partially from whole market crash and keeping btc til it cost 100k..

This morning I saw an article where a guy made a simple calculation through Google trends about HODL strategy, and it showed that call to HODL used less and less from February of 2018. Popularity of word Bitcoin and crypto currency is also falling down.

Why it is so? Do not people believe in Bitcoin and it's bright future anymore?
No matter on such tend I am going to HODL my founds till bitcoin will not come back to 20k$

HODL or not to HODL is just a matter of mentality and knowledge. If you know how the market behaves and your predictions tend to be accurate and you like to have an active approach in your investments, then you don't HODL when it is not convenient. For all the others HODL will just do fine long term.

I think bitcoin will continue to be valuable, not the problem with exchange rates and even don't rule out investors will spread education about bitcoin, so bitcoin prices can continue to rise. We need exchanges that are honest and transparent. just HOLD and BUY BTC.
