Very good post. Does the author trust his wife or children?

especially instant wallet services i hate them Well, online wallets like the one offered by blockchain.info is reasonably safe because the private keys only exist client side. They are encrypted with your password before they're uploaded, so the worst thing that could happen is blockchain.info suddenly disappearing, or deleting your account, or whatever. But that's what backups are for. I don't believe they suddenly could steal all their users' money (well unless they secretly inject some malware in their javascript, but that would be detected soon enough). Having said so, I rather trust my private keys ONLY to a dedicated Linux machine that is never connected to the internets.

I understand what you're saying and I agree mostly, but I've had some coins disappear back during the whole MyBitcoin fiasco and it just left a bad taste. I try and keep them all offline and encourage others aswell.

Mt.Gox seems to be having issues handling SEPA transfers right now.

I'm facing a problem with Bitcoin.de which happen few days ago, after several exchanges with no problems it seems to have been a fraud made by my exchange peer that got way with my bitcoins and my money to buy them . Bitcoin.de recognized the issue but did not correct my balance yet. We are not talking about a very large amount here so i hope they fix it in the next few days , but i lost trust one them !
Any one know Bitcoin.de are they reliable ?
Who should i complain if the don't assume their safety failure ?
I will post the end of this so you learn with my experience.

MtGox froze my account because I used a different IP than usual... certainly not trusting them anymore, as they won't let me withdraw a measly 2BTC.

The lack of legal regulation increase the risks. If legal protections arise it will lose some of is nice features for it !

Thanks, Just like solid money, you'd never give some stranger your wallet. I have my pittance online with blockchain, I'll get an offline wallet right now.

Thats true , but sometimes you need to build contacts to create links , because i have made some good links to be able to sell and buy currency and in online business i need currency.
