Be Careful would be the best advice instead of trust no one.

trust no one, on a forum it may be ok, in real life, it's going to be sad.

I figure there may be many of us newbies here given recent price jumps, so I will bump this thread to the top.

Good advice,
I do like the idea of trusting people on their reputation though, but were to start off to build a reputation.

I understand what you're saying and I agree mostly, but I've had some coins disappear back during the whole MyBitcoin fiasco and it just left a bad taste. I try and keep them all offline and encourage others aswell.

If you don't trust anynone, well.. you will never do any bitcoin transacion, because of fear of getting scam.. That's why we use escrow service and so on.. All these little tricks help us to going on even if you don't trust your vendor..

Good advice, paranoia is good, keeps you on your toes, TRUST IN BITCOIN and no one else, well... Maybe someone else but just be careful people, obviously.
