Ebay technically doesn't allow the sale of didgital goods, so they probably won't be able to help your case .

Wow, this is a surprising read, but I couldn't agree more, it never hurts to be too safe.

Yea I really haven't had a lot of BTC pass through my PC but I do feel insecure. The exchanges I never use to hold my BTC i usually keep it in my btc wallet. Very good read, good and useful information for people to better secure themselves. The main thing I get concerned about when it comes to security is when I choose to buy stuff with bitcoins I really can only name a couple legit online stores to spend bitcoins.

Seriously. Don't trust the exchanges, don't trust online wallet services, don't trust your anti-virus software, and don't trust anybody online.=
Indeed. INTERSANGO, the so called genuine 100% customer satisfaction etc exchange have recently blocked my account from sending bitcoins with an "incorrect address" message when sending, completely out of the blue to which I quized there customer services about this to which they acted all "I don't understand what's wrong" to which they shortly after LOCKED my account to which I had to chase them up to get "your account has been locked for breaching clause 5 (illegal use of bitcoins) further correspondence will be via support tickets". Support tickets are supposed to be answered within 24 hours I have tickets outstanding for several days now. They refuse to answer my questions, including of course "how did I breach clause 5? please do tell". If your ever thinking of using Intersango I would advise you to go elsewhere, the way in which they blatantly and egregiously scammed me of a fair deal of money is a disgrace.

Good advice for sure, wish I had read it before going through the current troubles I'm having with an exchange. I suppose 20 bitcoins is the price of a lesson learned.

Thanks for the heads up. A little common sense tends to go a long ways as well.

Agreed I work in the security industry myself and with all the malware available freely its almost insane to trust some one with months of slow earnings.
Be careful fellow forum members!

How do you trust no one if you'tr buying bitcoins. It is a virtual currency that actually can no be seen. I'd say be extra careful. because you can even see bitcoins

Someone just stole from me by changing my wallet address on slush's pool. Wish I could meet that person face to face. I wonder if that person would trust me...not to hit him with the baseball bat I would be holding.

Guess I rambled on over this topic to much in the newbie introduction thread, should have posted here instead, thanks much Jack1Rip1BurnIt for the heads up, on the thief of your coin over on Slush.
My attitude isn't yet tainted by that happening, nor do I intend on getting emotionally involved in the loss or gain of my bitcoin stash, but do intend on taking all possible precautions with it as my wallet builds up, thanks much to everyone for the good advice offered in these beginners threads.
