Sadly I think it is. I think airdrops are generally sad and used to make the dev richer in general.

True but also not true if you live in 3rd world countries. There you may be making $1-3 a day in which case you can likely make more doing airdrops, granted you have access to a computer.

Airdrops are good source of additional token here in this forum however most of airdops are not legit and scam. Sometimes airdops are made for phishing begginers here in crypto world but we could not erase in our mind that sometimes there good and legit airdops that exists in this forum. Out of hundreds of airdrop only few will pay, and only few has a value and real use case. Some airdrop is really valuable because some ICOs are giving away airdrop to attract investors and to promote their project which can contribute to the project's growth.

Have you ever joined the airdrop? Your question can answer with yourself. I have been following the airdrop several times and there are who pay me and some are not. In my wallet there are some token results from airdrop but until now have not been worth (no price). So, you have to join with some airdrop, and you can judge it.

You are true that few are the only scam among the Airdrop. But, I think many almost 80% of the Airdrops are fake and only come into existence for your data seeking. Even, I see that some are demanding your private key of the wallet in the G-form. So, my suggestion is to sign up all the Airdrop but, with cautiously and fill not the form which is demanding your very personal and private key of the wallet. Till now I only get one Airdrop reward successfully.

airdrop do not ask any money from us for airdrop , if they do ask money or private key then it is scam .
only we need to spend few minutes for 2-3 tasks . so taking part in airdrop will not scam you .

but yes airdrops are not profitable nowdays , they will give you 1-2 USD worth tokens , that's all .

airdrop do not ask any money from us for airdrop , if they do ask money or private key then it is scam .

You are right, if the one who asks for a fee and ask for the private key is a fraud .. Because I also have followed one such Airdrop, but sorry, because I can not remember the name of the site. I almost became a victim, because I was tempted to be of considerable value at that time.

Only a few airdrop that worth something like eBTC and Hawala, but most of the airdrop are fakes and only to farm some information from people. So be careful !

honestly i never attend to any airdrop, and i dont really know how it works to get token...my opinion tokens you gained from any airdrop you have to hold it for a long term and forget it just dont really hope for getting benefit. it might a year or two years like stellar, unless there are many good ICO make airdrop part of their marketing campaign. but usually you will get just a few tokens

Most of the scam projects also enter into market so Airdrop is waste of time. But few airdrops are getting some token so it is depends on our perspective. I think Airdrop is free of earning some tokens at the same time it is little hurt to many people because not all the airdrops are success in future so few Projects only Make success if you expert in this forum you choose the best Airdrops.

As long as the airdrop created by trustful company and it has a small chance to be another airdrop scam. But if you are joining in the airdrop which has been created by unknown developer and there is a lot of chance to be another scam. Basically the income will depend on how success of the airdrop token after listed on coinmarketcap.

Airdrop is something extremely necessary for a project to be decentralized. It is the simplest, fastest and most practical way of dividing the token or currency among a large number of people in a random way.

If you promote only one ICO, whoever has the most money can turn your project into something very centralized.

But unfortunately, most of the airdrops are meant to only do cheap marketing with the project. The idea is that if you have received a token, even for free, you will automatically become a promoter of that project. It will help increase the value and the search for the token. There are some that gives income to those who find good airdrops. Airdrops before are listed in the exchange and not waste your effort to joined because it is promoted and develop well but now I dont think that it is like that worth it of time because one do not listed and has little value in the market which make it to be trash coins.

I have taken part in many airdrops and so far only 10% have given me some decent return that is more than $100. Airdrop being the free distribution of currency leads to people dumping it badly unless the project is worth the HODL which is rare a case with airdropped tokens. I agree that there is very small percentage of scam tokens but there is a large number of shit tokens without any underlying project.

The problem i see with these airdrop is that they are trying to create a market and thereby the developers profiting from it in the end, most of the airdrops just die instantly because they do not have the money to list the coins in exchanges and the amount to list the coins in exchanges are not cheap.

I think airdrops are just a waste of time, so you wasted your time, the profits earned in trade are much bigger than that. You can earn between 10 or 15 USD, because many people join the airdrops. If you calculate the fee that the exchanges should take from you, worth will be only 5 USD.

Out of 10 airdrop you join can be 1 0r 2 coins out of 10 would be successful and could have some value in the market. You need to be patient doing airdrop. You need to be carefull as well, theres a lot of scammer out there using airdrops form and steal info of the user.My suggest you need to separate your wallet for airdrop to avoid losing funds from your main wallet. AIRDROP is very common to all because is more easy to do compare with bounty program..airdrop is the simplest way to promote token and to reach more investors and coin  holders.

Airdrops are the excess tokens of some projects that sometimes did not sold so instead of burning they give it for free. Airdrops are good way to earn money most of people in this forum would like to join in airdops since it has often free. Others saying that some airdops are scam but it's actually not maybe the token tha they given is cheaper and sometimes it has no value. Remember that if a campaign would be successful its airdops als are successful but if Campaign is unluckily and failed expect that their airdops are aslo failed.

I agree with you: only small amount of airdrops are profitable now.
I remember such ones as EthereumBlue, EXRN, BitcoinRed. I Still Hold despite the fact that I could get 3-4 ETH profit in January.

Most airdrops are scam, however, there are coins especially after a successful ICO or while underdevelopment give away airdrop to their holders. There are also some ICOs that are profitable, I was able to earn decent money from ENU airdrop. Some airdrops don't have a value yet, but who knows maybe someday or next year they will have a value.

90% of Airdrop is a scam and from that 10% legitimate only 1% could bring you a lot of money in the long run. I have  been filling up airdrop since August last year. Only few of them turn out to be legitimate project and most of them died with the hype.

I disagree a bit for this, we can all admit that some airdrops are fully scam and fraud but there are some projects having legit airdrops and if you are lucky you can get some big amounts of airdrops in token but that is a super rare project, most of them offer small amounts of rewards that the real-life job is better than it that's why some bounty hunter tends to expand their participation with lots of airdrop rewards.

The fact is that it's like poking your finger into the sky. It's very difficult to get on a good one Airdrop. Given, that most projects are make Airdrop at an early stage, when the community's interest in the project is not yet understood, it is even more difficult to choose a good one. In my opinion Airdrops are suitable only for beginners. Bounty campaign is much more reliable. There is really too much of Scamdrops.

Not a big. Oftenly Airdrop its maximum 10-15 $. Income 500$ it's very very rare. And to get such income you will have to take a part in hundreds of Airdrops. It's not worth it, believe me.

airdrops are free and all of us are always eager to earn free money, therfor airdrops are really worth it. I have do a lot of airdrops on the past and id say that it was fun because ive been able to earn as much as 500usd or more  although i did regret to some of my mistakes due to the fact that i wasnt patient enough to hodl my coins. lesson learned is we must always wait for the right time because almost all coins do have their  specific time to pumped.

Yes there were some airdrops that scam because their tokens do not have a value even though you have already waited for years. You arent alone because im also a victim with it many times but life still goes on besides we dont even exert any effort in order to join them.

Sadly but we should choose airdrops carefully, some may have a hidden agenda why they've launched an airdrop, you may not know but some of them were created to collect personal information through the excuse of the procedure KYC, some of them are going to require downloading a certain wallet application developed from them then suddenly your device got tons of viruses and backdoors stealing data's and control, airdrops are fee coins don't sell your own data for just a single penny.

Not only you, there are many people facing the same situation not getting Airdrop from the good companies. Some companies want to collect only people information and they will hide the people by not paying bounties to them. Some people are making decent money with the Airdrops but it is impossible to keep track of every Airdrop where they are listing.

It is not that airdrops are scams after all you are getting coins for free without doing anything, the problem of airdrops is that the majority of them will not pay you or if they pay you your tokens, the tokens are not going to have any value and the whole effort you put into getting that airdrop will be a waste of time, this is the main reason most users in the forum do not bother to claim airdrops.

Not all airdrop are scam but most of them are scam and not paying because their projects is not feasible to the masses in which it failed to arrive in the market because only few investors have joined the project. Most of these ICO that will just relying on airdrop thru referral tasks because they have no budget for their projects unlike the well funded ICO that they have road maps on how their product will reach the investors that airdrop is just part of their programs. So choose well the project before joining an airdrop.

I agree with your opinion, I first joined the bitcointalk forum often following the airdrop and the results are also quite a lot, but now there are many scams even if there are paying just a little.

For me airdrops is just a waste of your time, do not waste your time in joining the airdrops. Airdrops give you just a small amount of their token so do not join in their airdrops. But for some others who collect a coins from airdrop use it for trading coins. They hodl it first and wait for the pump of the price of the coin then when the price of the coin is good they trade it. But in joining in airdrops you have to look for the reviews and read their whitepaper first to know if their airdrop has a potential. If the airdrop does not have any potential in their project then it is a scam it is not a good project indeed so for me before you join airdrop read first some review and their whitepaper and what is their airdrop all about. For me I only join airdrops that is from a good bounty manager because if it is from a good bounty manager and it is not a scam airdrop. Do not join in airdrop for the reason of just collecting coins because you will not earn big if they just give a small amount and it does not have any potential in the market.

But those are the exception rather than the rule most airdrops will end in failure after all why they are giving away their coins for free? There are a lot of airdrops around and getting announced as of this moment so you are not just aware on how much of them are existing scams. They are scams to me and think about  the fact that you give your KYC  documents just to get a couple of dollars from their shitcoin.

Its not always scam? Yeah thats right, but If I ask you, do you know when does airdrop considered as scam? And how much is enough with you? How can you look for an airdrop token/coin review if that doesnt have value yet?
Good project doesnt mean you can automatically make profit out of it, there is a failure risks in an ICO. That is why airdrop is considered as a waste of time. You can even fill your wallet with shitcoin from participating in airdrops.

Look at someone who often participates in airdrops, check his wallet and see how much he actually gets from doing that.

when we follow a bounty that most people expect is to get paid a high or appropriate to the work it does. When someone follows Airdrop, they just register and follow some instructions given by managers like joining telegram, twitter, facebook, it is a very easy job and we get very little pay.

Why dont you join bounty campaign for your additional income? Airdrops is one of the strategy of most projects to extent out exposure to their project but the earning opportunity of free tokens is somehow expected not to be big. You wont really be scammed if you don't put any money.

I fully agree on the dangers of airdrops, in the sense that they require the provision of personal data. Many users of Crypto and Bounty companies are indignant about the requirements to provide KYC, but airdrops require this always.

surely 80% of ICOs nowadays are scams, and most of them wont let you know easily, they wont steal your money immediately but slowly days after days after abandont their project. so it is very hard to find a scam ICO, so Airdrops can sometimes bring us profit but small and it so wasting our time.

It's so difficult with airdrops, I was doing few months ago many of them, but in general they were really scams or did not achieve soft cap or they sent small amount of tokens. It's often clickbait, not airdrop at all, and very often through the email.

Wasnt aware on that Bittorrent airdrop though and this one is excluded among all other projects in the market that do give out such free coins.We know the reputation of BTT wayback when it isnt still tied up with crypto and this is why i can say that it does really have potential or really worth to engage on.

The whole idea of airdrop is actually wrong, like how could a token or a coin could ever be good when there is so many people who get it for free and never worked for it or did anything about it. You can't just give your money away for free and assume people will find it valuable, people would never really care about a currency that was literally given to them for free, they wouldn't respect the currency all that much.

I personally think that people should be stopping with airdrops and at least create some sort of small funding phase where it is just like 10 thousand dollars or so goal, even that would be better than giving it away for free. For now airdrop is not the right choice for us to get paid but it can also happen to bounties today, we can see that almost 60% of bounties currently do not produce at all even though there is not bounty scam but many of the coin bounties instead become shitcoin and have no price at all in exchange, so the money we make from bounties are not equivalent to what we have been working on, for example there are some bounties that have been running for almost Three months, but after the tokens have been distributed to participants, no more than $20 can we get at that time and is it something worthy? This year airdrop is mostly scam. Back when i started in 2017, airdrops is super legit and i made 50$ per day in joining airdrop. Lots of token are shitcoins these days especially in airdrops. They will just trade your email and other information for a shitcoin. I suggest you stop joining airdrops and get a real job or join a campaign.    Mostly airdrops don't worth the time and effort. Some of the airdrops ask for KYC and make everything more complicated
than it is. OP had luck with his airdrops, maybe he is good at researching or he follow some group that gives good signals

That's true. To make matters worse, most of these airdrop organizers go as far as getting people's KYC details and thereafter, The token might or might not be distributed. Most of the tokens end up worthless anyway. I stopped participating in airdrops as far back as early 2018. Newer airdrops are just trying to utilize the past glory of airdrops. A friend of mine participated in a recent airdrop that distributes USDT per referred user, They'll send it quite already but you can't use the USDT. It has the same ticker and token name as USDT but a completely different (and worthless) token. That's how bad airdrops are these days.

Actually there are a lot of coin/token who held the airdrop event, I can't tell all of the coin but I have joined an airdrop that given me a huge profit and until now I'm still hold the coin. Namely bitcoin token, although I'm still consider that the coin is useless and never have a utility but the fact the token has been giving some profit to me. I am one of the participants who participated in the Solana airdrop, but unfortunately I did not win the prize and maybe it was caused by many participants who did participate in the Airdrop Solana project held by the Exchanger Binance, I personally prefer the airdrop which was actually held by a  big exchanger does have the trust of its users rather than follow the airdrop which is indeed a lot in the telegram group and most of the airdrops finally scam and of course this will make us disappointed because it has wasted time to get as many referrals as possible. Most of what you say is the thing that happens from most airdrop, since the bounty starts to cause problems with a scam, finally the airdrop is carried away doing the same scam. the first time joining the airdrop was quite fun although it was true that the prize received was small but reasonable with a fairly easy job. but if it is paid properly it is also good to take part in many airdrops as a distraction waiting for completion of the real project.

Indeed airdrop is ideal for people who have lots of spare time to join and follow it because you wont spend any cents just by joining. However the chance to earn here is slim now due to scam unlike before wherein you can still find an airdrop with tokens that has value. If you often to be face to face with the scam, maybe you have made something wrong. That is why l don't deny the fact that there are a lot of scam projects, but if you can realize the project, it is hard to see any scam. this method which you mentioned is a really good method to stay away from any airdrops, which are definitely useless.

Of course, having an inside feeling is enough to understand why the person on the Telegram group asks for personal documents. The high gas fee or impersonation is the trouble which we face each day since 2018 and I doubt these scammers will disappear overnight. I think education is the only gun we have in order to fight with fake teams, scammers. No another exit, from my own experience.

Don't easily trust airdrops, they just completely waste your time and focus in other method of bounty campaigns. There are bundles of scam airdrops even the whole project itself in the bounty section. If your looking to make money don't rely on the easy tasks but focus in the harder tasks but paying you in the end. I also advice don't trust them with your personal identity or data, they will stole them and make another form of scam with your data. Keep away from the scammers, don't easily trust them promising to pay you a lot.

Exactly, Airdrop completely wastes time doing KYC there because for a little number of coins which there won't be any value to the coin after listing the exchange. It is not a good idea to submit our original documents to an unknown company, we should be very careful with the Airdrop companies.
