What are the most crucial non-coding obstacles for Nxt?

1) more nodes to mitigate DDOS attacks
2) distribute the currency as evenly as possible

Are there others?  Can anything be done about #2?

I set up a node at nxtra.org - can anyone check if this is showing up in their peer list?

"You can generate the next block in 56 days 8 hours 5 minuts 3 seconds"
is that mean i have to keep browser on in those days then i can generate the next block???

anyone please give me a reply as i am really fresh new for this nice idea.

The time changes every block. Eventually you will hit one that will generate a block before anyone else, thus earning the fees in that block.

Contact  laowai80 and/or fexern

Cheesy do u mean ferment or nexern?

Actually nexern and I would probably make a good team if we combined forces! heh.
Can we make a kind of site helping users to do this?
I will try to raise funds from big stakeholders and support this - it is better if you work together I think with laowai80 too.
We need to fight this zombie node apocalypse with full force combined!  Cool

nxtbase is open source by design for others to contribute code, bug reports, documentation etc. So really  the site that you're talking already exists. I'd be happy to accept pull requests and entertain more features that meet other people's needs.

So, there are 3 easy ways to get a node going.

1. Rent an ubuntu VPS and use nxtbase. Directions here.
2. Hire laowai80 to run a node for you.
3. Donate to nxtbase and I add a new new nodeX.nxtbase.com for every 3000 nxt that I receive to cover 3 months. If you want you're own hallmark and vanity name, I can do that too for a little extra (4500 for 3 months). nxt: 11243542237777034551

I'm running 10 nodes now. Based on donations received today, I'm going to add 15 more in 2 new data centers. This will take a day or so since "real life" is interrupting me a bit today.

Is there a danger that NXT coins get lost on some fork (forever?). Or they are easily transferred to a different fork? I'm asking because yesterday i transferred some of my friends NXTs to his account, and he used 0.4.2. I still have mine NXTs on DGEX.

Am stuck again at 22927 (2069%) - I have been trashing non-connected nodes but no new blocks are coming.

This really needs to be resolved very soon if NXT is to actually have any future at all (currently it is 100% controlled by a centralized blockchain that you have to download every few hours).

Sad

With CIYAM anyone can create 100% generated C++ web applications in literally minutes.

Hey guys,

Check out http://www.nxtcoinflip.com/

It's a new NXT gambling site, similar to other cryptocurrency games.

It's cheat-proof, the password used to generate the results is posted after a certain amount of 'turns'

Nice work

+1 Also if not already should get some bounty.

Someone posted a link yesterday to vote Nxt on Cryptsy. I can't find it. Anyone?

why is there such a tremendous gap between sell and buy?
Nxt deposit to dgex were disabled for half a day, because of ddos attack, just got enabled again, the market will start to move again soon.

price drop and rise very quickly just now. i never saw anything like this. but the long-term direction is going upwards, right?
BOZ some body manipulate the price

I just returned back and finished my node at digitalocean. Now the block is @22966

I added my address(IP) and the hallmark.

So I just need to add my ip address to public my node?  java -jar start.jar IP_Address

Right?

Just sent laowai80 .5 btc to help with some nodes. Still stuck on blocks, payment will be delayed for a bit but IT WILL come. Smiley
