Suppose it's a very rich hacker and he sets up a hallmarked node against all that stash, all nodes would start downloading from that rich node exclusively? Do we get chain forks again in that case? Suppose he doesn't care about money and his purpose is to destroy NXT. What can we expect here?

Transparent Forging is not enabled yet, so we can be 51% attacked. But he must split the coins among a lot of accounts. Even with 10 accounts u can't generate very long branch, at some point u'll see "Generated incorrect block" message on all the accounts.

OK, http://nxtra.org/faucet is working again, and should now automatically restart if the balance reports as negative ever again, meaning it shouldn't go down again. (Fingers crossed :-))

好像还没看到NXT的中文名字,我帮着取了两个,各位看看合适不。
1,朴实无华接地气:加瓦币
2,高端大气上档次:嘉威币

Perhaps we should get somebody that speaks Chinese to look at this, the Google translation shows a possible problem worth considering:

NXT seems to have not seen the Chinese name, I helped get two, you do not look appropriate.
1, unpretentious ground gas: Bhargava currency
2, high-grade atmosphere: Cartwright currency

Selecting a good Chinese name is historically difficult, with Coca-Cola being a legendary example I've heard about - "bite the wax tadpole":

Set up the client and received my first 4 NXTs thanks to your faucet (15125251810930484336)

I am not sold on this yet. The lack of mining is a major negative. In the past I have always acquired coins through giveaways and mining and usually held onto them.

@CfB,

I see one particular node connected to my node, and my node uploaded 4.6 GB data to it, possibly a zombie leeching bandwidth?

Everyone who hasn't yet voted for the logo should do so now at https://nextcoin.org/index.php/topic,1588.0.html

My vote goes to theo91, whom's coin design I already use on my faucet site.

Someone is very rich & very interested in NXT:

Dgex' Account Went Down 20mil LOL
https://nextcoin.org/index.php/topic,1658.0.html

Rocket launch countdown?

Winklevoss twins?

It's an interesting spin to the discussion a few hours ago that Dgex has distributed 200M NXT to new owners.  While that is still probably true, that doesn't mean 200M has flowed down to the little guys to start smooth cash flow among many users in jumpstarting the NXT economy.  Those new owners can be just a few people interested in hoarding and a power grab.

In fact, the top 51 accounts (out of only 5829 total) are currently holding just under 787 million NXT.   Thus the average for accounts 52-5829 is under 37,000 NXT each - and you KNOW that's not a flat distribution, either.

Long way to go to get this currency spread.  We should think about helicopters (see: http://www.thestockenthusiast.com/opinion/how-bernanke-got-the-nickname-helicopter-ben-why-it-matters-right-now/).
