We should also connect with the Dark Wallet team - investigate in parallel CoinJoin option!
not easy, nxt infrastructure differs heavily from common codebase within crypto-country. has some short-timed disadvantages but later much more adventages, speed will increase. chiga, chiga, megalo karpusi isterotera. Hehe probably you were in Greece for holidays some time in the past! I would love to accommodate you bro if you decide to come here again Can you elaborate some more about this in a new thread? Anonymity is the most wanted feature and some brainstorming with the other smart guys here would be a good start IMO.

Considering I was the one that pointed to Framewood and although I agree that EpicThomas should not be blamed for such reported situations since there is no proof... PLEASE NOTE that Framewood was the first to report an UNRESOLVED issue that is MORE DANGEROUS for the future of NXT.
Agreed. And I have no problem with Framewood receiving funds as compensation and/or bounty (just don't call it "EpicThomas paying up"). My gut feeling is that he was the unfortunate victim of another hacker using a rogue client that worked in a different way. Not sure that will ever be tracked down though.

Hello Guys, I published the first alpha version of my Android App "NXT Watcher". See https://nextcoin.org/index.php/topic,2588.0.html for further details and install instructions. Screenshot to get a first impression of how it looks like: https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/1304372/NXTWatcher/Screenshots/NXTWatcher2.pngI need a lot help testing on different devices, especially Gingerbread and Honeycomb! So if you own an Android device, follow the link above and please provide some feedback Additionally there is a 1k bounty for providing a good looking, Android-ready laucher logo for the app -- two guys working on it already. And now the obligate NXT signature : If you like it, you are welcome to donate a few NXT to keep me motivated 6887853321138092071

Why is it necessary to announce IP address of forging nodes? Every node is forging, or not?
Senders must know where to send transactions to. If they broadcasted them to all the nodes we would need petabyte links. we dont; really need MASS MESSAGING @ 10,000 per Sec. rate at the moment. We need 100 TX per. Sec. Max.....AT THIS POINT! That would allow 8 million transaction in 24 hours.....would this be doable? No, current limit is 360'000 messages in 24 hours. I dont think it's worth to release the one of the hottest and wanted functions of NXT (P2P messages) with so many restrictions which 'll seriously limit its usage. - Message volume is limited by its price (1 NXT per message) - Message volume is limited by NXT protocol itself, so even with message price correction: 10 messages per hour per each user = 240 messages * 1500 users = 360,000 messages. 1500 users MAX ? It is not serious. So, are we going to release some marketing trick or real P2P messaging revolution? What a joke! Could anyone tell me , who is your niche for P2P message delivery with the price of 1 NXT? Edward Snowden ? Julian Assange ? Who else? So ?

Agree. We shouldn't confuse messages as a way to send data to a person with arbitrary messages as a way to store data on the blockchain. They r completely different.

I'm curious though, how do you mean voting would suppress people?
Well, if u agree to vote, u automatically agree to lose in future in some cases. Until u'll lose something important it seems like nothing wrong. Of course you'll lose some votes, not everyone thinks the same way. Why is this bad? This is decentralization. Why do you consider forking (which you can still do with voting system in place BTW...) a superior alternative when we can save everyone the worry and pain of lost transactions that comes with your method? Provide an example of something important that will go wrong, please. That's not true. For avoid it u can reconfigure your client.
Why do u mention hallmarking? Hallmarking is what protects us against zombie nodes. We have already been attacked by a large amount of zombie nodes sending out bogus packets to eat bandwidth... you really still think voting by number of nodes is still the best? How can you tell if people are really voting with their nodes and it's not just an attacker? An attacker can just come along when people are divided over an issue and start propping up dummy nodes left and right to completely fragment the network. NXT is strong right now because we have a consensus. A voting system can provide that consensus without fragmenting the network.

Then lets rename 'message' to 'data store' and define this function as P2P information storage available for selected number of recepients

So arbitrary messaging is not meant for messaging? Better to call it arbitrary data then. No reason to make those android/iphone apps then? Also, what is the ETA of this feature?

Also, what is the ETA of this feature?
I can't find any bugs. Gonna test it for a couple of hours more and then send the code to Jean-Luc for review. He will decide at what block height the AM will be activated.

I don't use them, looks like a waste of time to me. I've seen a lot of projects that had a lot of specifications, testing and other voodoo magic things and still failed.
