Someone is this thread is claiming that: P > p
where P means the probability of forging to put all Nxt into one acount,
p means the probability of forging to split Nxt to 2 accounts.

Could you confirm whether this is correct?

If it's true, it's absolutely unfair. The large holders will have much more forge chances than they should be.

nxt really is the model for distributed autonomous corporations. Inorder to have thousands or millions of blockchains that are all secure it is imperative that they not be in competition with one another for the resources that make them secure. with mining, the strength of one blockchain is the weakness of another. Or put differently, every hash/s on blockchain a is a hash/s that is not available to secure blockchain b. with the nxt framework we can have an almost infinite number of secure blockchains. this is a prerequisite for a vibrant ecosystem of distributed autonomous corporations.

*edit* i may write a paper about this

I hope you do! Your last paper was great. Make sure someone posts it on the Nxt forums if you do.

plus it costs more money (electric/computer usage) using more than 1 account.

In other news..someone pointed me to Adam B Levine's post describing the need for nxt's functionality, you guys should all swarm overthere and inform him that the future is NXT and its already here, I posted a response to his proposal on the second page..

love this community, one of the best I have ever witnessed 95% awesome

This article is great. Much food for thought.
It fits in with the discussions on voting and fees we've been having the last few days.
Giving it a more thorough read tomorrow.

Thanks for posting this!

What Cfb said is the other way, p will not be larger than P.

Now someone is argue P is larger than p, in promoting his pool forging.

I don't understand wtf you are talking about? Energy conservation is infact a real issue.
Global warming is accepted by every reputable scientist in the entire Universe, why should we not use that oppourtunity to highlight yet another benefit of NXT?

Could not find in FAQ/wiki, how fast are NXT transactions? I've purchased some coins from dgex, but seems they are doing it manually, so I've tried to use faucet http://nxtra.org/faucet/

They show that they've sent me few coins:
13893    1620027207958157392    7717718125255724163    3    2014-01-17 02:03:14

But account shows 0 balance, and the blockchain says:
Info: Transaction not found or in process...

So, what's happening? Are NXT transactions slower then even bitcoin ones?  Shocked

He's just stating that's its not completely carbon free, because nothing is truly carbon free, but it is very energy efficient and conservative.

Exactly, like you said: it's not completley carbon free and nothing is, but is it A HELL of a lot more "carbon free" than the other cryptocurrencies so not showcasing this would be downright clinically dumb.

NXT is also gamer friendly by not using graphics cards, of which there is a global shortage due to Litecoin
