NEX is a joke but a potentially deadly one if we do not respond quickly to its legitimate criticisms.

His criticism is not based on real things.

PS: Once we have TF ready we can change transaction limit from 4.25 to 1000 transactions per second. 200x increase in TPS will lead to the same increase in price.

Do not underestimate the power of fools to manipulate the minds of the ignorant.  Once there was this guy named George W. Bush ruling a group of people who called themselves Americans...

So once TF kicks in with 1000 tps, the max NXT block size goes from what to what?

anybody knows, what's this "0.81" sell order at dgex? Do they artificially put it there to stop the increase of prices?

Can someone contact coinmarketcap to change their feed from obsolete dgex to bter please?

Gliss stated in the coinmarketcap thread that he's already done this.
I think it still shows dgex prices...

They've included the the BTER NXT/BTC trade pair. See here - http://www.cryptocoincharts.info/#jump-nxt-btc.

But the exchange with the highest volume determines the price involved in the market cap calculation. At the time of posting DGEX has a 24 hour trade volume of 274BTC while BTER has 171BTC. That's not much of a gap considering today is the first business day since the launch (I don't think that considers the NXT/CNY pair either).

In times of change, it is the learners who will inherit the earth, while the learned will find themselves beautifully equipped for a world that no longer exists.

If you want to get more users, and more media attention, when you have the amazing client of "nexern" , I would make the biggest GIVEAWAY ever on Bitcointalk. 1.000.000 NXT with the "unclaimed funds" of CfB

200 NXT each user, so they could use and see the amazing coin we have. We could get a lot of users, and we could take away all the FUD that we have.

thanks.

Its a good idea in general but it shouldnt be done through giveaway on the forum. It would be exploited by giveaway thread scammers. The way to do it would be a faucet giving away inordinately generous payouts and a lot of promotion to make sure that as many people as possible knew about it before hand. Captchas can not be gamed. It would be a really fair way to get a lot of nxt widely distributed among a lot of people. I wouldnt even be adversed to giving the whole 9 mill away like this. Do it in a couple of rounds so that word spreads from the first round so that you have even more participants in the second and third. This would generate a TON of buzz and a lot of involvement.

Bounties are much better I think. It's better to pay for advertisement, exchanges and software, then give all to forum trolls.

What I described would be a very effective way to market nxt. We should probably have a good solid cross platform 1 click client, a professionally written whitepaper, and a professional audit of the code before we think about marketing. After we have those things though, than this could potentially be the best way to market the coin.

Bitcointalk trolls would write there only account from some exchange - bter/dgex/... they don't need a client now

Has anyone experienced at least one error with 0.5.9? I mean, a real exception stack trace in the log, other than due to corrupted .nxt files on startup? I haven't even seen a single blockchain rescan in the last two days, only the occasional "generated incorrect block" message, so I don't know whether rescans still cause exceptions, or rescans don't happen anymore, or complete without errors?

It is getting boring, no bugs to fix... need to focus on the refactoring. And no, no new feature requests until I am done with it.

Something tells me that all this :: clone business is NOT going to be very funny once eMunie and Ethereum IPOs start.

don't understand I am afraid please explain?

Pin

ethereum ipo starts in less than a week time, emunie has had plan for another (new) round of IPO in Feb, and we are still wasting time trolling/ entertaining trolls here ...
can just ignore the trolls (particularly fc) and focus our energy on pushing Nxt full speed ahead imho.

price seems to be pushing not?

yes it does, and dont take me wrong that I dont appreciate what we as a community have done thus far, I am only saying that the spare energy for trolls wasted lately can be put in better use somewhere else Wink

I don't realize that the BTer had already have such a big exchange volume. It is going to leapfrog DGEX soon. Competition is good.

I think many people trust an exchange that exchanges a variety of Cryptos rather than an exchange that just exchanges one. I've moved over to bter because I haven't had a problem trading with them before and I like bter website more, even though they have less volume Grin

Never had a problem with DGEX though...but bter website is a lot more user friendly IMO.
