Sorry if this sound stupid. I dont get it. How come the OP was hacked by just importing his BTC private keys in Electrum? Meaning Electrum wallet is not safe to use? Who stole his 13BTC by the way?
it was not Electrum wallet. It was a copy-paste clone of Electrum or whatever other legitimate wallet created to claim the forked Bitcoin Diamond and Bitcoin Private. Electrum wouldn't allow that, as Electrum works for real Bitcoin (BTC) only. So he pasted his private key into this clone and the clone developer(s) sweeped his BTC wallet.

Cautionary Tale: I messed up. Big time. Please don’t pile on harder as I’m already sick to my stomach.

NEVER EXPOSE YOUR BTC KEYS/Seed to an forked wallet.

Two days ago, I attempted to split my BTC Diamond and BTC Private. I could not get it.

At some point, I exposed my Ledger Nano with my BTC on it, to each of their Electrum Wallets.

Last night, my wallet was emptied of ALL my BTC, 13+ coins.

Here is the transaction.

Often the subject of the problem of security Ledger Nano was discussed. I would not buy such a device if I need secure my money. Wallet has very big progam holes. Sad situation...

That is a very sophisticated scam, feel bad for the OP who lost 13 BTCs. The problem is that the feeling will simply get worse when bitcoin rises, it will be regret and annoyance. Not sure if there is any advice that can make you feel better other than to go to the police and see if they can do anything.

Its unfortunate that we repeat the same mistakes over and over again which leads to loss making, we cant do much about your loss but if it was your fault then don't cry, the amount lost is way too high to be lost out of carelessness. we must continue to take precautions when dealing with BTC, the coin is way too valuable

Sorry about your loss.
First of all, it seems hard to find.
But don't lose hope and keep track of the wallet.
Cheer up because money is not everything.
13 BTC is quite a lot of money, I hope you find it.

If this is true, as you said, other newcomers in the crypto currency should learn from your mistake. You can not store all your savings in a crypto currency, especially in one place. I know that you understand this now, but you need to diversify the risks.

I have learned already from a friend before not to put all my investments in one place. He said that the bigger your wallet has, the more hackers it can attract. Loosing 1 BTC could be painful but 13 BTC is something more like devastating and I feel sad for the OP. It seems like there is no solution for him to recover what was stolen, the only choice left is for the hacker to somehow feel pity (even just a little bit) and give it back fully or just a portion of it.

Sad to know that there are people who can even take to do this to other people. I know that every one of us works hard to earn money and taking it away just like that proves that there are human who don't act like humans at all.

That is terrible news and im very sorry for you. Dont let it ruin crypto for you. There are so many people that have lost lots of money by making simple mistakes like sending 60k to the wrong address and having it just be dusted. The good news is we are all still early to the game. Try and get your head straight and make some smart investments. You can make it all back over the next few years. An additional thing I would suggest is using 2FA. I know that wasnt the issue here but it is worth taking every step possible to secure your investments. Keep your head up.

I'm sorry for your loss. But you have to be careful. It's money. This situation can be compared with the work of the sapper. Once made a mistake and no longer need.

I feel sorry for you. The good thing on crypto is, nobody can steal or take your money, if your private keys are really secret. The bad thing on crypto is, if someone stole your keys or if you lost your keys, nobody can help you.

I guess you know this by now, but for others that read this...

You made 2 big mistakes:
1. You kept too much money in one wallet.
2. You tried to get forked coins without moving out your real money away first.

I'm really really sorry for your loss Sad ... 13 BTC wow....

Get together and think on the future. With some skill and luck you'll build up another money. You have to.

How exactly did the theft take place? Please elaborate.

This lesson is not only for the poster, but for all of us. Sorry for the huge loss. But it should be carved in everyone's brain: be careful when you want to claim the fork coins. Most of them are just shit, and don't worth your risk of losing all of your bitcoin.

Seriously? If that happened to me, I will find myself crying on the corner of our house. Thirteen bitcoin is not that easy to earn. If I know that I am holding that amount in my wallet, I would like to cash it out as soon as possible. I feel that my wallet very attractive to hackers. So cash it out in order to secure it much more. Better to deposit it in a bank or better to keeo it in my house. I am also careful to open my wallet because there are so many fake sites. Better to check the address first before logging in.

All I can say is, wow that's a lot of money. Anonymity is really a double-edged sword. I'm really sorry for your lost, and I hope the culprit/s find it in his/her/their heart to return your hard-earned money. I mean, that's really tragic man.  Sad I hope you recover from this very soon. It also served as a lesson to all newbies out there, that they need to be extra cautious in putting cryptocurrencies into their wallet and that they should ensure that whatever device they are using is secure and free from malicious programs that criminals can use to get access to their account.

If you have any space in your heart, please return the BTC. I’d accept a fraction of what was stolen. Please don’t completely bankrupt me.

Sorry for your loss, and hopefully some can learn from this experience. The market is still young enough that you can bounce back somewhat if you continue investing and securing your coins properly.

This might not help too much but you could try at least with a new cryptocurrency called Brickblock where you just join their website and follow them on twitter and you are already making money, you should try it out
