Claiming forked coin is always risky, especially if you have huge amount of BTC, the best is move it somewhere else before doing anything

Cautionary Tale: I messed up. Big time. Please don’t pile on harder as I’m already sick to my stomach.

NEVER EXPOSE YOUR BTC KEYS/Seed to an forked wallet.

Two days ago, I attempted to split my BTC Diamond and BTC Private. I could not get it.

At some point, I exposed my Ledger Nano with my BTC on it, to each of their Electrum Wallets.

Last night, my wallet was emptied of ALL my BTC, 13+ coins.

Here is the transaction.

Transaction Identifier: d96a7dcd9775456e36938ed2cb84e9d0cac46fad14b8c95008ed77d08f9f8de6

Went to: 3LsvHPBGuEVLZZDUiUuNdNi33T7zmTBC7o

Here’s a signed message so you know I HAD controller of the wallet.
I’m not scamming, just utterly sick to my stomach for losing 13+ BTC.

-----BEGIN BITCOIN SIGNED MESSAGE-----
@TheShillBilly Twitter

I've lost all my coins. Please help ANYONE. If you stole them
Please return them! Please Please Please!  RT to help...

-----END BITCOIN SIGNED MESSAGE-----

It appears that I have now lost my entire life savings. I’m not begging for a handout but rather attempting to warn anyone new to the space. I’m sick to my stomach with the loss and my only hope is to gain the attention of the culprit.

If you have any space in your heart, please return the BTC. I’d accept a fraction of what was stolen. Please don’t completely bankrupt me.

Additional warning to all newbies to give your private key to anyone even brwosing suspicious site that requesting your key. Be aware that alot of scammer in the world of digital currencies. Think 1o times guys before you click. Also dont talk to strangers consider them as your enemy.

alway keep your wallet free and safe

I have already seen some more people losing their hard earned coins when just trying to get forked coins.Already a person lost his bitcoins when downloading a fake wallet instead of downloading Electrum wallet from the official website www.electrum.org.So nothing could protect any one indulging in cryptos except his self awareness. beware

Oh my God, 13 BTC is really a huge money, when I started in crypto I never manage to earn at least 0.5 btc. I'm really sad of what happened to you I hope the culprit who stole it will have a conscience to return at least half of it. And I hope this will be a lesson to all people especially newbies to not share their private keys because it is very important.

Omg it is a really bad situation. In my country people spend their whole life to earn that money. This is the negative side of the crypto technology blockchain. Your whole investment can be trash with a click. I am really sorry for you bro Sad

Wow it is something very harmful. With 13 BTC can buy a house and anything you want you can buy. Having 5 bitcoin alone I already love what else 13 and what else it all disappears can go crazy.

OK.. I don't want to rub salt in to your wounds, but you ignored some basic security precautions. Anyway, now nothing can be done. Coins are gone for ever and the chances of recovering them are close to zero. I want you to ignore this episode and carry on.

13 BTC is not a small thing, I think it is a big loss. Everyone should be vigilant and extra careful in storing their bitcoin. I'm sorry to know what happened to you.

You should have consulted an expert before you did it but I'm still very saddened for your loss. Stop wasting your effort to retrieve any amount from the hackers because I'm sure they've done it many times so this could just be normal thing for them.

Omg what a sad story. This must be a lesson for everyone, also to those who have their coins on a hardware wallet. It stops being safe if you leak your private keys.

I really don't know why people are investing and keeping all of their money in cryptocurrency. And why you kept it in only one wallet?  That's weird.

Really sad to hear that, really.. but hopefully you can learn from this.. never, NEVER show your private key to not trustable parts. Ask the question: " this worth the risk?" If you have a doubt then probably doesn't worth it.
There are so many scammers out there, and this is really sad..they should pay for bad actions but unluckily no one can do that. I was scammed too in past, not with this amount but i'm a victim too. Since that, i learn how the privacy is important in this world.
You just need more effort than before, but you will reach your goal. Don't surrender Wink

Huh Everyone should be very careful even with single little mistake one can loose whole investment.

I agree with you, hackers were very smart and they can even smell the people who has a huge profit not literally, but they can track dow your account and steal all the profita that you have in just a blink of an eye, and I guess that was very tragic to experience since all of s sudden you might be starving specially if you are just unemployed for now and leaning to this platform for every expenses that you are facing, be careful.

I was using the Electrum Wallets from Github. The BPrivate was from Github. I think the BDiamond was too. BTCD might have been from their site though. I’ll verify.
