...

To those that are having the issue may I recommend you just delete everything in your Globe appdata folder apart from the wallet.dat .

Do not delete the wallet.dat ! (It holds all your Globe private keys) but delete everything else and just download the block-chain from scratch. It did not affect me as one of my machines just carried on syncing without a new block-chain but hey maybe your machine is a little different.

...

Thanks
SPhere

Good man, this fixed it perfectly.  Thanks.

Hi everyone,

I don't have a Mac so am unable to compile the compile myself.

Maxpower has again kindly compiled the Mac Wallet. You can download it from here : http://globecrypto.com/?page_id=6653

I have not tested it for obvious reasons but It should be working Smiley .

Thanks

Many thanks to sphere and Maxpower!

What did you have to do?

I deleted my appdata globe folder (aside from the wallet.dat and conf), anything else I need to do?

I've added all the nodes via the console, but I still can't sync?

Edit: Never mind, after a few minutes, the above works! Thanks Maxpower

Sorry I missed your post, easyjo.

But you're right, I should expand a bit:

To ensure I was re-downloading the entire blockchain, I deleted everything in the $HOME/Library/Application Support/Globe/ directory, EXCEPT wallet.dat and globe.conf.

In fact, I took a backup of wallet.dat first (using "File - Backup Wallet"), deleted everything EXCEPT those two files, re-installed v0.4, started it up and let it sync.

Globe Difficulty Chart now synchronizing at

http://coinz.cryptoid.info/diff/?glb

Should be fully up to date soon.

Also a new block explorer is synchronizing at
http://chainz.cryptoid.info/glb/
(will take more hours to catch up)

When synchronized, it'll be the Full Monty, with transaction details, address balances, rich list, tickers, live update etc. Smiley
(note: Pools/extractions are currently meaningless)

If you feel it's worth a GLB bounty -> GLB: 1Q6AtXkYs4zAuL3pHuuxs2DoFRHGv48uog thanks!

I am trying to understand the specifics of this coin.

Please explain.
They seem to be essential properties of this coin. But difficult to find the explanations.

I suggest you publish one paragraph each,
on the OP of this thread, and on the foundation website.

Blockchain explorer is now synchronized at http://chainz.cryptoid.info/glb/

I've also setup the pools, though one pool has 100% of network, so it's not very varied Smiley

Hi,

The reason you can't find info on these two features is because they have been scrapped Wink .

Hi,

Yep just had a look not gone through for some reason, sent you a little more you will probably end up with both but enjoy Smiley .

Your point regarding the pools is valid. Miners, can some of you pool miners switch to https://globe.maxminers.net/. It's important we distribute the hash rate to reduce the possibility of 51% attack !

Thanks

Also the server at https://globe.suprnova.cc/ is apparently having trouble to keep up (cf. notice posted there), meaning miners are probably losing out.

The difficulty chart clearly shows there has been an influx of hashing power for the last two weeks, and the trend is a steady rise.
