None of you have headed to http://globe.ecoining.com/.

So

I am offering 45 GLB to the first 5 individuals that head over and start mining

Just post me your http://globe.ecoining.com/ pool username and Globe address here

Thanks
Sphere

Just transferred some hashes from suprnova.cc to ecoining.com in an attempt to even out the pools and to give suprnova other miners a chance to get a bigger piece of each block  Roll Eyes

And I like freebies...   my username is nerioseole on the new pool and my address is 1HFJ9okcQq8FvrCKUb7R2AUFB6N5NpSqZ

Who doesn't like freebies ?  Wink (Retorical Question) All sent enjoy Smiley .

Has the hashrate decreased or something? Why is the diff suddenly a lot lower?

From what I can see, the network hash rate should be around 150 Gh/s.
Not know why.

Where did you get the networkhash? My wallet does not display it with the getmininginfo command?

Hi,

Bcfanimer did this approximately using a formula. Due to Globe being based on Freicoin the getmininginfo will not give the network hash. You can use the difficulty in conjunction with a formula to get the hash.

Where did you get the networkhash? My wallet does not display it with the getmininginfo command?

Another method that I use:

1. Go to the block page of any pool and determine how many blocks have been found in about 1 hour.  Example:  17 blocks out of possible 60 = 28%

2. Then, take the pool speed and divide it by the % above.  Example:  44 GH/s / 28% = 157 GH/s.  This gives you a good approximation of the current network speed.

This method works with ALL coins.  It gives you the average over the time period that you have selected.  Works better over 60 mins.

Yes. Roughly, you can estimate it in this way.

For the getmininginfo, it will only display your hash rate when you are using your wallet do solo mining.

Thanks all for the info Smiley It's the first time for me I have a considerable part of the network hashrate, so I never really bothered to look at the total network hashrate.

So, where are all the big asics? I don't mind finding many blocks, but maybe we need a little more promotion? Some giveaways maybe? If only a few people actively mine this, the risk of the coin dying are considerable.

[edit] Just added an extra 10Gh to the network Wink

Will do some over the weekend. We have one for miners always running here : https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=395941.0 . I think the issue is not so much that we don't have many miners but the miners we do have don't have huge setups. When you look at other sha-256 pools they have like 5 people mining at 150 gh/s . In the meantime one of our pools has 14 people at 80 gh/s

I know that giveaway. That one got me started Smiley You are right that the amount of miners is more important than the network hash. If I can do anything to support Globe, let me know Smiley

Hi,

If any of you guys are entrepreneurial you can ask http://buttercoin.com/#/ if they will setup a GLB/BTC exchange. If so you could join forces and setup your own exchange. With not up-front costs and all the development and hosting done by their team !

Thanks
Sphere
