Im assuming the guy who was using the powerful ASIC left the network meaning blocks are not getting generate as fast simply because of the lower network hashing.

I'm stuck at block 28378 Any Working node??  Huh

Can you have a look at your debug file? If their is an error it will be state there. Otherwise I think its just the difficulty. Also if their is an error make sure its not from a long time ago.

Actually i'm not at home, what's the current diff??

I think this guy uses his asic just before the difficulty is about to change and then leaves a couple hours after. I want to see what the difficulty will be tomorrow. Want to see if someone is messing with us. Hopefully its someone making an innocent mistake.

Assuming this person does not come back online all should be good by tomorrow morning. I think

that sounds like what scrypt coin developers said about multipool

sphere, when the retarget diff occurs??? How many blocks? Do you understand that there's the risk that someone have killed this coin? We are from 5 hours on the same block.

I don't understand how can someone "kill" a coin. I don't think a 51% attack has occurred otherwise people would be complaining about lost coins and inability to confirm transactions. We are now on 28380 blocks. The diff will hopefully change tonight and we will be back to normal tomorrow, with the assumption that this person(s) do not start mining before the change. To my knowledge the diff does not change based on blocks but time ? am I correct ?

Oh man don't you know the retarget system of your coin???  Shocked Shocked
A coin can be retarget every block, every 2016 Blocks (like Bitcoin), every what you want!!!
If Globe is retarget every 2000 Blocks............have you understand?Huh
If no-one continue mining (and no one will do if time to block is over 5 hours) result will be (if retarget is 2000, i made an example!)

2000*5 hours = 416 Days before the next retarget = COIN KILLED

Hmm but why has it always happened daily then? and in the event globe is killed can we re-start?

I think this issue can be overcome if we get more asic miners mining Globe.

We need a pool. Then we can add up all our computing powers instead of solo mining. In that case, we can overcome such problem easier. Wink

You can create a Fork, but anyone can Re-Kill your coin  Undecided Undecided

Actually we need a pool and some good boy with some Power Asic. but it's no good that you don't know your retarget system......

Ok if this does not resolve itself by tomorrow, I will try and get a pool  operator accepting Globe tomorrow.

For your information, I read the source code, and find the re-target interval.

If the block height is less than 28335, the re-target interval is 2016.
If the block height is greater than 28335, the re-target interval is 9.

As we are on the block#28381 now, so I think current re-target interval is 9.
