If it's stuck at 0 confirmations in your transaction history then that means you didn't include a fee and your wallet just broadcasts the shit over and over. The address should still have the dough.
Nonsense - I sent Doge with no transaction fee many times before I realized it and it always went through without problem, no difference with adding a transaction fee as far as I could see.

It isn't nonsense, if you do not include a tx fee it is at the miners discretion whether or not to include the transaction. Adding fees encourage miners to process it without the txfee you could just spam 1 Shibe transactions and clog the network.
Indeed, it is at the miner's discretion. What I am telling is my experience that you do not find a stuck transition due to no TX fee, so the person waiting since many days on his transition should NOT worry about forgetting TX fee, because that has never been a cause for delay that I know of.
How has your experience been with different TX fees?
(and yes, I know that *theoretically* it could be a problem, but it isn't in practice)

PSA: SOFTWARE IS READY NOW, EVERYBODY GET HIS SENT COINS CREDITED, START TUESDAY

OMG, this is crazy, admin had an bike accident and was 6 days in hospital.
I made mistake and had registry open, but software wasn't ready.
It wasnt supposed to be open.

Long story short:

- all coins are save, you get more back then u send (write your TX and your account name in this thread or via PN so I can credit u)
- all software problems are now solved after a new dogecoin version was released ( see https://github.com/dogecoin/dogecoin/issues/47 ), it wasnt possible before (not our fault or bitwasp team)
- we going to launch on tuesday
- i closed the reg till tuesday
- please post all bugs and proposals, maybe do brain storming threads how we get some solid vendors here
(we have some vendors that told us they will sell here, mostly documents, gift cards, some european weed dealers, ...)
- please inform everybody to whom it may it may concern (but dont spam)
- dont focus drugs when talking about Doge Road please (for image reasons)
- sorry for confusion with the open registry, we will make this good, 100% (with good work and free doge coins)

i am back in 12 hours, service will be online soon, helping you all

thanks to dogecoin dev team, bitwasp dev team and everybody in the doge community

Launch is Tuesday.

Official PSA from: http://dogeroadqmu2yzcg.onion/index.php?topic=21.msg75#msg75

tl;dr version:

- software is finally ready
- launch is tuesday
- we apologize for not disabeling registry, when market wasnt ready, error of admin, left it on after testing
- everything is good, team is ready
- inform you friends and potential vendors (dont spam)
- we gonna deliver

now im waiting since 4 days and still 0 confirmations i think my coins are lost Sad
Did you try the proposal that was given a some time ago, to backup your wallet and copy your private key from your wallet at a safe location,
then delete *everything* from the Doge wallet directory (the backup wallet and private key must be stored somewhere else!)
Then you install a fresh wallet (which will obviously have zero balance and a new private key and address)
Then you import your old private key into the new empty wallet and let it sync to the Doge network.
If your payment was never accepted by the Doge chain, then the new wallet should not find it and thus it should not disappear from your wallet at all - as if you never sent it!
Success.

So where can I find my private key?

Thanks

In the Dogecoin-qt client, go to 'Help' > 'Debug Window', then use the command:

Code:
> dumpprivkey <dogecoinaddress>

Obviously, you should keep the result of this command secret!

Then in the new wallet, use this command to reimport your private key (the public key, i.e. your address, is contained in the private key)

Code:
> importprivkey <dogecoinprivkey>

Says 'Invalid DogeCoin address'  Huh

You need to do this from the wallet that SENT the transaction that is not confirming.

Internally, your wallet contains accounts, and each of your addresses is associated with one of these accounts.

In the debug window, type this to list your accounts:

Code:
> listaccounts

Then you can list the address(es) that are associated with each account:

Code:
> getaddressesbyaccount <account>

In the updated client, you can then import the address with the commands in my previous post.

I didn't follow the conversation from the start, but an easier method is just to backup wallet.dat and then update to the new client. If everything goes as expected, you should have to do anything but wait for the new client to synchronise with the network.

Currently, the transaction that you are saying is not confirming is not relayed on the network, probably because your old version cannot sync with the current chain. If you upgrade the client, it will broadcast the stuck transaction again, and this time it should be confirmed.

If you use the export/import method, and give up with the old client altogether, it will be like this transaction never existed in the first place.

What was the address that you sent the coins from? If you use the Dogecoin explorer you can look it up, and you should see that the coins are still there. They probably aren't gone, just stuck.

Something is definately not right here. Diff rose from 1018 to 1771 with only minor net hash increase. For this amount of difficulty rise, net hash needed at least 70GHs boost, but thats not showing anywhere.

doge is much tougher to mine than ever.  maybe halving block rewards will have the opposite effect most people think it will.

You need to make the cash flow, stop holding, sell your doge, this is not good, every currency needs flow. If 90% DOGE are stuck the price will fall down because of the lack of sellers. It won't climb up necause of the demand.
This is simple economics and the way to the moon.
