Hello All,
I gave this pool a go after 50BTC went south and didn't/doesn't pay out.
PPS Pool Minergate.com
Mining BTC for about 36 hours and have a confirmed 0.152x BTC balance according to their GUI.
Attempted to withdraw 3 times to 3 different wallets with no success. Canned response to messages...
Switched pools of course right away....
Approach with caution I would say...

Hello, I appreciate organofcorti's great efforts and commitment to this list. It is very valuable for me as miner. Pools disappearing left and right, and whatever is leftover seems to be in the "let's scam the miners" business....
I was wondering what the criteria are for getting a warning about non-payment to miners, like 50BTC, for minergate.com which is listed in the PPS section of the pools list?
There seem to be 53 other miners, according to the pool stat list, and I don't know if any of them is unpaid or not.
After 48 hrs of hitting that "withdraw" button, there is no coin on my end.
To my complaint as such, I received the following very early this morning:
Claude Lecomte (Minergate.com)

Hi,
Is it Ok for now?
It's not ... The main GUI changed this afternoon and the "Withdraw" button doesn't take you anywhere at all now.
How about fixing "Function" before "Beautification"?

Hi gemstone, I waited weeks before I added that line for 50btc.com - I didn't want to accuse an innocent pool, and it's hard to prove that multiple miners are having an issue. If your problem isn't resolved in the next few weeks, please post back here and I'll update the thread. Some feedback from minersgate.com would also be good. As an aside, I'd like to remind everyone to be careful of pools that only offer PPS and don't explain who will be funding them in case the pool has bad luck. From Meni Rosenfeld's "Analysis of Bitcoin Pooled Mining Reward Systems", to keep the bankruptcy probability below δ, the operator should keep a reserve of at least: R = B ln (1/δ) / (2*f) B=block reward, f=mining fee, δ = bankruptcy probability A worked example: B = 25, f = 0.025 (2.5%), δ = 1/1000 (a 1 in 1000 chance of pool bankruptcy), then the required reserve is: R = 25 * ln(1000)/(0.05) = 3453.878 So minersgate needs a reserve of 3453.878 btc to ensure a 1 in 1000 probability of bankruptcy (or needing more funding).

At this time I would like to update my post and confirm that I have been paid! The transfer was "manually" initiated this afternoon after I posted in the Alt Coin Minergate thread...there I also found several references and posts from miner that mine Alt Coins there of not being able to withdraw. Of course I withdrew my hash power the moment the first "withdraw" failed. I still think that it needs watching though.... and I doubt very much that they do have the required BTC in reserve ;-) BTW: The pool http://coinminers.co/ results in a 404 Moving on to EclipsePPS, I think.... thank you for maintaining this forum and provide a sounding board for us miners.

Can you add my BTC - P2Pool or do I need to post this somewhere else...
IP: 107.170.184.48:9332
It is hosted at digitalocean, location NYC, just to clearify uptime... And btw, I am working on a website about my pool. My pool fee is 1% for website and server uptime.
I hope someone would love to join my pool.
Thanks in advance!!
Joannes Wyckmans.

If your pool has a front end and can be used by miners without requiring a local p2pool client, then yes, it can be posted here.

I don't know how many people would need this information, but listing what ports each pool accepted work on would have been helpful to me a few weeks ago as a miner
That's not really required for helping one select a pool. That information is available on the pools web site and/or its support forum. Also that is, for the most part, standardized now.

So since the debacle with 50BTC PPS pool I'm going through this list as per page 1. Since I prefer PPS pools I am going through those and I would say that I am almost done with it. Heads up for fellow PPS miners:
PolishPoolPPS Does not pay out "because the pool hasn't found a block" ... NO PPS, therefore and the "English" part of the site isn't working.
DeepbitPPS no new registrations, mined there before with BFL's, got some coin left but NONE of my ASIC's will stay connected long enough for me to reach minimum payout... (of course got rid of the BFL's and BE's long ago)
Minergate.com look a few posts back... took 3 days to get a "manual" payout and only after starting to post some "nasties" in the threads, Alt-Coin thread shows continued issues with payouts.
BTCMP.com I am not sure about that one, looks dubious at best and I am a minimalist ;-), and very hesitant to point my miners there. Anybody ever mined there? Any experiences to share? Paying out? Any input would be appreciated.
Which leaves 1 in the list: EclipsePPS which I am mining at without issues and prompt payouts, but hefty fee.
Any other options / choices out there?

Pool's should be reconsidering offering straight up PPS and as a miner I no longer use it. PPS is bad for pools, bad for users when the pool goes bankrupt, and bad for Bitcoin in general.

Well, if they only pay out once a block has been solved, that's not really PPS. I might change them to PPS variant. DeepbitPPS no new registrations, mined there before with BFL's, got some coin left but NONE of my ASIC's will stay connected long enough for me to reach minimum payout... Eclispe is fine, and has a responsive and reliable pool op. BTCMP.com is a German pool, I don't know much about it. Both pools have been around since mid 2011, and I wouldn't consider 4 - 5 % to be "hefty" for a PPS pool, I'd call it the lower end "safe" (depending on how large their bankroll is).

I like Eclipse alright, and I am quite o.k with the pool fee. But as miner 4 is better than 5 ;-) I am German but BTCMP pool has not responded to any of my inquiries in either English or German ;-(
Here is a bit of conversation from PolishPool Thread which of course I found after I posted... Last response there was on May 4. Going to the site (GUI changed last few days) there is no English portal, sifting through and going to the FAQ will at some point take you to the FAQ on GiveMecoins. I totally abandoned this Polish pool. From what I'm getting they no longer offer PPS at all only PPLNS You can decide how to modify the entry in the list, but for sure no PPS or a variant of it. Re: BTCPolishPool 25% Bonus for first payment! I mined here for a few hours assuming the pool was PPS like it said and was told I wont get any payout because they havent got a block yet. PPS means I make no matter what.
I had the same experience as you, and don't recommend mining here either.
Hi we are accountable to the block with the miners when the block is not there, we do not pay 25 BTC to all miners
Regards
Okay, so you clearly do not offer PPS then For now, we decided to exclude the PPS because the pool Hoopers abusing the system Of course PPLNS works great Regards
As always a pleasure Sir!
