Interested in buying some Earthcoin, pm your price.

Are you really buying some, if so why? .  In your opinion is this coin broken or just crazy hard to mine?

I hope it was just a waste of time. Even if you have deleted the wallet and scanned your pc, nasty things can come through later. Generally when it comes up as a trojan the attacker will use your browser or cookies to log into sites you visit and change passwords/empty accounts. Probably not a bad idea to delete all browser history and stop your browser from saving any info. Make sure to run a full scan every day. Just a heads up, not saying this is anything but a fail coin at this point.

Definetly not good, someone/something ^^ is taking advantage of the 3 days extra payouts and what is worst is that the pools are running at 1% of the real hashpower! So either it got hacked or the source is virusal but the fact is that the difficulty is going up like nuts within so short period of the launch, not even 1 day from now the difficullty would be this high! It would take all the miners to mine this coin to explain this phenomenon!!!
Bottom line, the coin lost interest to the public and failed from the start!
Im sorry Earthcoin, I think you really had a potential there  Cry

With these things, it's almost always a good idea to have a spare VM (or several) to throw these at.

Scan the file at virustotal.com it comes up with 2 threats and one looks to be a trojan. Though this could be a false positive, who knows.

diff shoot up too quickly, need to let it stabilize. Blockchain works fine. The average block time is 1 min, with variations of course.

Difficulty keeps going up by the maximum even though blocks have been taking longer than a minute for some time now.
A difficulty of 20.9 is only correct for a one minute target if the network is hitting something like 1.4GH. Your reported network hash has been increasing monotonically and I'm betting will do so even if only a single miner is connected. I'd guess that you have some counter somewhere in the code that's incrementing but never resetting to zero like it's supposed to do.

Whatever the cause, broke coin is broken.

539GH/s?!

Even litecoin is only 73 GH/s, this can't be right.

Perhaps it is adding the hashes per second of every block together instead of only keeping the last one. Can the dev check it?

My Malwarebytes isn't detecting anything.

I scanned with AVG and it came out clean. Sometimes scans will hit on any wallet really when there might not be anything wrong with it.

I have never heard of virustotal.com. I just put the earthcoin-qt.exe in virustotal and it says "Detection ratio: 0/48". I'm not sure why everyone is jumping to conclusions.

I don't believe there is a concern of a virus here... just bad coin coding.

I don't think Virustotal is correct because I just scanned a few coins considered legit and they came up with similar things

Coin does not work.  I am disabling http://eac.hackshardgaming.net at this time as it doesn't work to begin with.  You can mine on my lottocoin pool @ http://lot.hackshardgaming.net

Doing the same (closing) for http://earthcoin.cryptohashery.com

Block 357 took a long time to find (way way more than 60 seconds) and difficulty still retargeted up. Difficulty retarget formula is obviously borked. I just killed stratum on
the pool so mining ceases but I will leave the pool up and wallet running so people can get their payouts once all the found blocks confirm.

Thanks everyone for hammering our pool! You can mine tr011coins with us at http://tcncoin.cryptohashery.com or Billion at http://bil.cryptohashery.com

Please lower the limit so we can whitdraw all earthcoins

thx!
