You better stay away from exchanges that requires KYC. The KYC will blew off your cover and anonymity.
Though many exchanges have been implenting KYC for them to obtain licenses to operate, there are still some out there that allows you to stay under the radar without enforcing KYCs but do offer you higher transactional limits should you decide to go under KYCs.

I think it can be traceable by your internet service provider and government can do track your browsing history. Also if you have signup in a exchange site with your real identity or to buy bitcoin with your credit card you are easily to get caught with this.
You can always use the VPN services, it is very easy - your IP will be not tracked. I do not think that in reality people can be punished or chased for BTC usage.

How can the government discover I own BTC, let's say I'm from Venezuela where crypto is banned, what they can do to discover and arrest me?
Government cannot restart your are having BTC but if you're transacting Bitcoins in the network then maybe you can be traced because it one is independent of anything but it is dependent on the network which is under the government

If you follow the precautionary measures, then no one can prove that you own a crypto currency. If only you do not exchange crypto currency for a virtual currency by means of virtual exchangers.

If you are personally watched by special services, then you cannot hide the fact of using bitcoins because of monitoring the network activity of your devices. If you use unknown devices for those who are watching you, then it is almost impossible to track you without knowing the address of your wallet.

If you do not submit any know your customers and store your BTC in an offline wallet it should be untraceable, they can see how much your holding and or sending/recieving but if you do not connect it to anything with your name you should be just fine!

I think governments won’t arrest anyone for having some bitcoin, lol. It would be really odd. On the other hand, when they really wanna know about something, probably there is no way to hide. They will just find a way to trace people, eventually. But still you might find some ways to prevent them tracing you.

Bitcoin is a currency that saves the user name, identity and all information. And it is outside the government's control. But you can find you through kyc. Maybe you could find you by tracking. But it's hard work. So I think you do not worry. You will not have any problems.

We already know that bitcoin transaction is anonimous, Also you can have many wallets of it. So, it so hard to find that you have bitcoin. But, when there is a market that you already did the KYC things. It means that the market have your information also how many asset that you have in your wallet. So, never put your asset in the market.

if you dont put your information, i think its hard to track if you have or not. but it can trace if you put your personal information in some ilegal exchanger, or government directly hack your pc or laptop than check your laptop/pc. so, its like untouch if you are criminal, robber, and laundry your money in bitcoin

They can trace you through the deal, or through your wallet. But they have no reason to trace you just because you own Bitcoin.
