Yeah switchers are always chasing and behind  the hot coin.  Plus a shit ton of other people do the same switching.

I mine 1 or 2 coins  zec and a shit coins at the moment and my 16x 1080tis are between 2.25 and 3.25 a card before power cost.

profit switching is a waste of time always chasing down money

what i do is have 2 rigs that are dedicated to mining shit coins (one amd one nvidia)
then all the others mine eth/zec might do some xmr soon

hoping for that one day those shit coins become something is better than chasing those pennies

As I see a super coin as the super highway and alt coins as taxis and trucks needed to move transactions. ~philipma1957

also I like to mine a shit coin  and sell enough  to then hold.

RVN  I mined 13200   coins sold 8000 hold 5200.   When I count power used and

selling the 8000 at 0.0000055 on average  was about 0.044 btc.  sold the btc at 9900  so 435 cash. power used was about 100

so I am 435-100 = 335 in the black with  5200 coins on hodl.

They are listed at 2700 for  0.000049 = 0.1323   with 2500 in a wallet.

My new shit coin  I have about 55 of  using 2 1080ti to mine it.

Is anyone looking at letting go specifically 1070/1070ti?

Logic here is that they get hurt the most by the equihash ASIC's, while 1080/1080ti have other options (ETH, Lyra)

Obviously Vegas are outstanding performers and worth keeping.

Right now I have;
9 * 1070ti
7 * 1080
7 * 1080ti
8 * Vega

and looking at dumping all of the 1070ti

I made the flow myself. Now I'm thinking about how to make a shift. I'm staying with the GPU for not a long time. I like the new stream.

I partly agree with you. I'm assuming you've done the math same as I have and we both came to the conculsion that the 1070 series is getting "hurt the most by equihash ASICs."

I've sold most of my 1070s already but am keeping the 1070tis as they are also profitable using other algos the same way the 1080ti is. Just not sure if the secret coins will remain secret once the shit hits the fan.

But it's Corsair.

I've recently heard many people having issues with Corsairs within the past couple of years. Some people reported lower quality parts in their newer PSU's. Not sure about quality, that's more or less hearsay. At least I've seen members at Bitcointalk and BitsBeTrippin reporting high failure rates.

the list of atx company that had failed psus

rosewill
seasonic
antec
evga
fractal

notice the major company I left off.  I won't write the name as I do not want to jinx myself.

Atx psu's do break with 24/7 use

Ive had incredible luck with evga, and I will never buy another sea sonic

Ugh Phil, your title on this thread is so depressing! lol

16 1080ti
A few CPUs. Mining monero a rx 560

12 L3+
5    Halong T1
3.   Avalon 841
2 2/3 S9
13 Moonlander usb sticks on a pc with a 1050ti
8 sidehack usb sticks on a pc running a intel i7 6700t Mining monero.

Mostly this year will be all about buysolar and I trying to build a big array.
I have a friend  with 76 acres of land in south NJ

I would love to help get it developed  into the largest mining solar flied in the USA. But deals like this are hard to do.
If I could get the ball rolling on this  it would be build 2 acres of panels mine for a year build 3 acres of panels mine for a year.
Then build 5 acres mine for a year so a net of 10 acres four years from now. That is more then 1.1 megawatts at peak devide by 5 you get 200kwatts 24/7 essentially free  or 1 cent a kwatt. (startup costs are not counted in order to say it is free or 1 cent.)

It would be a long time before it goes to 50 or 60 acres.
But there would be a big upside if we do it.

So lets say  the real cost is zero for the land as it is sitting idle.
the panals and inverters are around  660,000 usd  for 10 acres
that is full cost for buysolar
yearly maintenance  10 grand.

Mine 2,000,000 gh of BTC  you earn 25000 a month or 300,000 a year   we know it declines  but 300,000  to start could make it work.

If you do the volt mod from jsetanop at 378 clock they do  492mh and use 700 watts at the wall.

Fans can set to 40% and run cool like 60(c)

I have 4.4gh solo mining. Come June 1 I turn off the gear at home.

I have used all of the above pools and more, still using NH for some rigs, over last 3 years.

After all of that, I settled for Prohashing.com

I have consolidated 21GHs of Scrypt, 110TH of SHA256, 350GHs of D3s and 30% of the NVIDIA farm to send Equihash hash to Prohashing.com

From there, I get/select 4 coins to 4 address portioned 30%, 30%, 30% and 10%

The 4 coins that I selected currently are BTC, ETH, LTC and DeepOnion.

Previously, I selected only 2 coins at 50% each but decided to also collect a few gems in the Prohashing.com list (that includes Ripple, ZEN, etc.)

I am tired of chasing ASICs and getting into the GPU vs ASICs dilemma - so I buy all the ASICs and GPUs needed when price is right, and just point them to Prohashing.com

Pricing is getting interesting for certain GPUs on eBay.  A RX Vega still makes money pointed to NiceHash.  Some of the Nvidia GDDR5x cards do okay with the EthEnlargement.  Pay less for parts to begin with and then time to break even is shorter.  If 1080 Ti prices dump hard on eBay, I'll probably pick up a few.

I have some evga 1080ti sc I would sell if you’re inersted.

Mining might not be too bright after today...

Looks like heavy manipulation going on with ETH.

All day there was an iceberg order on Bitfinex for ETHUSD and over $150 million or so were sold. Then there was a huge crash and now the shorts are lining up like crazy for ETH.

The Bitfinex funding rate was never this high before, somebody has some insider info maybe.

Once ETH profitability goes... so do the other algos.

My calculators are already saying less than $1 day per RX GPU.

There are rumors that eos will dump all their eth that they gathered durring the ico stage and killing thier main competition with it so it might be that. But yeah i agree it was some serious manipulation as dump didnt happened at any other exchange,or maybe finnex just dump it to trigger stop loss Undecided

ETH and XMR seems to be manipulated big time.

I have been adding more EOS and cheap ETH at exchanges at every major dips.

Almost all of GPU farm (177khs tuned) now is full on with Monero and NH-CN7.

@grchina - EOS may have its day coming mainnet launch but as far as adoption is concerned ETH is still the platform closest to a "Microsoft" today. I will be trading EOS for profits but investing long with ETH.

I'm starting to feel the same way about EOS..

I love ETH to the bones and i support and believe completely in it's vision / future however EOS really seems like it's in a position to make some big moves. Short-term or not, I might just buy some EOS today and sell right before the mainnet launch.
