Here is a link to an hour and a half long interview of Kristi from OhGodACompany (creators of the Ethlargment Pill), by Bits Be Trippin'.  They cover a ton of ground on many of the most pressing concerns that all of us as miners have right now.  FPGA, the Acorn, Asics, Rendering, Ray Tracing, can algorithms really be made Asic "proof"? and lots more that I found to be very insightful.  It is long, but very much worth it in my opinion.

Another interview with her from JMS Vlogs: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PHlKmrqAufc

Someone has turned a shit load of them on.
Zcash difficulty doesn't change very quick. I seen soo many blocks go in the last few hours.
Block time meant to be 150sec I think and it was af 10sec and diff barely moved and they are happy fo have asics on thier network

fuck zcash. They were supposed to be decentralized and "privacy" transactions. They have never gotten the z address transactions to work and now they are an ASIC coin so they are neither decentralized or private. What is the point of zcash now?

Agreed, I'm focusing on BTCZ a equihash coin that switched parameters to 144,5. So the Z9 can't play their coin. The whitepaper states they will keep changing parameters to maintain asic resistance. I think snowgem and BTG are following in the same path. If they change parameters just "right before" asic's next version shipment, hopefully they will wear them out. Plus, equihash allows some modifications to the algo to provide differentiation between the various coins to further frustrate the asic manufacturers. That's why EWBF requires you to specify which coin via -pers command switch. GPU's can handle it no problem. Asics... not so much.

Yeah, BTCZ just made a successful switch last week/weekend.  BTG is scheduled to switch around July 1'st; it's running ok on their testnet for a few days now.  BTCZ is pretty small, but BTG is a large cap coin that should make a bit of a difference by switching.  I heard that Snowgem was looking into a fork but I don't know what point they are at personally.

Will BTG also be 144,5?

okay  here goes  what still works and makes some coin with 1080ti

I have stopped standard ZEC but  it makes about  0.00040 btc for 1 pair of 1080tis daily on nicehash/using smos about 1.22 usd a day per card
I am currently mining Mona   i use smos and point to nicehash  it earns about 0.00065 btc for a 2 card 1080ti rig  about 1.90 usd a day per card
I just stopped mining BIS  this was about 12 Bis every 2 days for 3 1080ti   or 2 bis a day per 1080ti    that is about 2.10 usd a day per card

I stopped RVN a while back  I turned a 5200 RVN coin profit but coin has tanked  so that is a long hodl

I need to do algo 144.5

ZEC = smos-nicehash
MONA = smos-nicehash
BIS = egg pool to my own wallet
RVN = smos https://rvn.suprnova.cc/ to my own wallet

So I would like anyone to mention what they have on algo 144.5

EBWF_  Has a new miner for it  https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=4466962.0

and i think smos has yet to put it in.

I also think nicehash has not done anything yet.

right now my interest is on MONA as it has a lot of hash power and I think is not under full attack from pga's

nicehash  alone has over 14th hash power which is over 250000 1080ti's

BTCZ is the only one I know that is on 144.5 so far, there may be others. BTG is going to be switching to it on approximately July 1'st.  They will have some type of variation compared to BTCZ, but both do work with the new EWBF miner.

There is a coin on the 192.7 (something similar anyways) variation but I can't remember the name.

at the moment  MONA  using Lyra2REv2

is a bit better then ZEC

https://www.nicehash.com/miner/146UJM5kgzLVUV23CXCf33KQKHckoX1gx3

Lyra2REv2   182.54 MH/s   0.00 MH/s (0.00%)   0.0009  Btc    4x 1080ti's and 0.000225 BTC a 1080ti

Equihash   1109.90 Sol/s   0.00 Sol/s (0.00%)   0.0004 Btx   2x 1080ti's   so   0.000200 BTC a 1080ti

this fluxes  but    I am getting 0.0013 to 0.0015 btc a day  using 6x 1080ti's  burning 1200 watts

an s-9 earns 0.0006 btc a day using 1400 watts

We are in need of a btc price rally  big time.

So my 3 two card rigs  that earn  me 0.0014 btc a day  cost me about 6k  but they are paid off.

1200 watts  in the summer in NJ = 29 k-watts a day  at about 18 cents or 5.22 power

so 8.54 earned - 5.22 = 3.32 net  .

I should shut the l3+'s down completely  I HAVE ALL BUT 2 TURNED OFF.

STILL  LYra2REv2  does turn profit  and I think  the hashrate has been okay.

Yeah, a nice bull run for BTC (and it dragging all the altcoins with it) would be very good timing right now.  I think we're due for one, but who knows how soon it will be...

Well I always slow my in-house mining every summer..

Zec will be dead to gpus

So I am happy Mona has some life.

Rvn may not be any good maybe it is . I am not mining it any more.

Bis was pretty good but I have a few hundred of them price dropped so I stopped the, and I am hodling them.

I need to do a 144 5 algo just to have it.

Safecoin forked to 144.5 as well. Safe devs and BTCZ devs work together often.

RVN is working towards a fund to pay some high price lawyer outfit to write up paperwork declaring that they are not a security. Multiple big exchanges told them they needed to do that in order to be listed.... so if that scuttlebutt is true, they will hopefully land on Bittrex (or similar) sometime later this year. If that happens I expect a pretty big jump in price and higher volumes.... we shall see.... we're hanging on to a little bit of it just to see what happens.

I have 5200 of them all profit.

So I can hold them.

Would be nice if they shoot up to 1 dollar.

I would sell 2700 of them.

So far the death of zec has not quite happened for all of my 1080ti's I left one pair to compare to Mona

Do you think it is more profitable to mine ETH with 1080Ti than mining ZEC with the faster memory boost?

Yes for the past month or two, 1080ti are often far better off on lyra's / ETH than any equihash.

Phil why u no lyra2z ?  coolminer or cryptodredge miner, i get 3.8mhs / 1080ti @ low heat and power.  Im talking 80w less than lyra2rev2 roughly.  Profit is a bit lower, but its going to be 33celcius next week here soon....in my setup high temps used to be 38-40c ambient, now its 36c, and 4-6 amps usage drop total.

I've actually just shut down my VEGA rig because it's getting very hot around here (and I can't ventilate attic enough). Will try to set it up to mine lyra2z instead later tonight.

I have 304Mh/s at 160W / card. Lyra2z has about 19 hashrate which wins over lyra2rev2 at payrate.. did you tried lyra2z?

About 30 Mh/s for a GTX 1080 Ti on 192.7 (only tested very briefly). We get about 55 Mh/s with a GTX 1080 Ti on 144.5 @ 80% power with a ~+150 Core and stock Memory. That would be with EWBF's newest miner version.

not yet  been busy getting ready to do some bathroom reno and fix a leaky foundation wall.

I am lucky I did the  lyra2rev2

 I also get about 50 a card or 300 for 6 cards.

I need to try the other lyra
I need to try the other equihash algos.

I did not even try  the eth- enlargement pill from ogoditisagirl.

with summer coming I slow my mining down a lot.

my house is doing about 2200 watts

the solar array does about 20000 watts

my friends office is at 1200 watts

it is a far cry from December.
